Lovely little house, beautifully decorated and equipped and everything was good quality. Log burner was wonderful to come home to after long windy walks in the beautiful local area.

Every single small detail had been considered. So peaceful with stunning views. Glorious sunrise and sunsets. Very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was lovely and it is clear that it is a very well looked after home. It’s easy to find and we had such a lovely time and were very comfortable. We appreciated everything and the host is a very nice lady who was a joy to speak to.

Gorgeous property in a fantastic location. We stayed for a university friends reunion and had a wonderful time. Property itself was stunning, we felt right at home. Location was brilliant, within walking distance to many restaurants, pubs and lovely walks. The driveway up to the house is steep, so beware in icy conditions but other than that, it was perfect. We booked this house for my partners parents and they were amazed by the views and how gorgeous the house was! They want to book it every time they come and visit.

Hazel really does go above and beyond, we stayed for a romantic weekend and the house is so quiet and serene and peaceful. Hazel popped round on our arrival to show us everything and talk us through the local things to see and do, really super helpful. The hot tub is simple to use, the surroundings are beautiful, clear sky for sunset in the horizon as well as completely clear starry nights.

100% couldn’t recommend this place more, well defo becoming back!

We had a lovely 6 night stay in the Coach House with our elderly dog. It was very quiet, with close parking and a view out over a horse field. The fenced garden was very practical for the dog and pleasant to have a coffee in. The accommodation was cosy and comfy and we liked having the option of using the pub/restaurant as well. There was plenty to see and do in the area. The owner was very reactive to any questions we had. We thought this was very good value.

Stayed at the most beautiful place in Laugharne. The view was spectacular. Good communication throughout from Great Welsh Escapes.

This house deserves its name ‘Great House’.
Every room is spacious … and there are a lot of them over 4 floors! Special mention for the magnificent bathrooms!
Rooms full of furniture, splendid paintings and impressive pottery on display.
As for the basics: the house was spotlessly clean, gas central heating is very effective (plus a log fire), the huge beds are very comfortable and the kitchen comes well equipped.

Excellent communication which helped make our stay even more relaxing.

For New Years we stayed at the wonderful Fernhill House Laugharne. Not only was the house spectacular the location was perfect!!! Great Welsh Escapes were brilliant-not only from the first contact but from assisting with the booking and throughout our stay. We've already booked again for next New Years.

Chapel View is perfect for staying in Laugharne. Great to able to just walk to Dylan Thomas' Boathouse and Writing shed, the castle and local shops, Post Office and places to eat and walks up Sir John's Hill.

Beautiful, well equiped, spacious and beautifully renovated with plenty of outdoor space. Just need to be mindful of spiral staircases and that guests in those rooms are able to manage them. Great local farm based restaurant - Paternoster Farm - highly recommend (only open on certain nights and need to book): Highly recommend restaurant at the Point House in Angel (again need to book) and the Kings Arms in Pembroke: and must visit Pembroke Castle.

Small but very well done, only surprise was just a microwave for cooking, no hob. But fine for breakfast! Milk in fridge on arrival plus Welsh cakes which was nice.

Our stay at Gwalia House was great. A fabulous house with everything you need. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped kitchen. Plenty of pubs to choose from in the village and lots of blustery beach walks a few miles away. I would highly recommend.

A 30th birthday trip of dreams!
The Great House in Laugharne was everything and more. Check in was super easy with a key/lockbox.
The heated pool was incredible, when we first arrived we all ran around looking at ALL the incredible bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces.
We felt so bougie and smiled, laughed, played games, ate, drank the whole weekend it was perfect.
The Ferryman Delicatessen is a stones throw away from the house and has a wonderful selection of delicious food we visited a few times!
Wouldn’t change a thing, amazing stay, I’d love to go back.

The house is well kept and laid out with a modern downstairs kitchen, living room and bathroom. Upstairs the floors have a camber in places showing the age of the original building but the bedrooms are equally nice. We stayed for three days and were very happy with our choice.

This is a beautifully appointed & comfortable apartment, the hosts had thought of everything! The views across the bay are great and access to the cost path is just across the road. Parking space & key access easy to find/ use.

This is a beautiful barn conversion, you can really see the owners have put a lots of thought and effort into the finishing details. The location is perfect, peaceful and quiet but only a 30 min walk into Carmarthen.

The host was friendly and welcoming and the hot tub was fantastic.

We all hade a great time in Laugharne, it was great to get away from the busy life we all have.

The house is in a stunning location on a hill looking out. Inside it is warm, comfortable, well decorated with good quality furnishings and amenities. Highly recommend it as a place to hang out with friends and family.

We have stayed in these apartments quite a few times. Why? Great location and easy to reach other locations. Very well maintained apartments, Cliff Haven is no exception. I would recommend it.

This was a great base for a long weekend away with 6 adults and a baby. The house is on a quiet, private street and is a walkable distance from the town centre and the beach. The walk is a steep one but doable, even with a buggy. The house itself is spacious and well thought- out with nice, homely touches like live plants, umbrellas, blankets etc. The garden is lovely and there are sea views from the back bedrooms. The place was very clean and we were able to check in early which was very helpful after a long journey with a small baby. The communication with the host was very good. 5/5 ☺️

We stayed here for a family holiday, there was plenty of space for us all and the property is kept very well. Laugharne is a great base for a holiday in the South-west of Wales with plenty to do in the surrounding area.

What a great stay, amazing space to call base.
Everything about this house is exceptional.....but when you wake up to a view of the river Taf, drinking Welsh tea on the decking, even in February is a memory to cherish.
The village has all you need with a great eatery included that is a must while you stay here.....Ty Glo is the place to try.

We had a great stay with Hugh and Hazel. They'd put a lot of effort into making the home as welcoming to all (including supplies for rainy days). It was comfortable, well stocked (beyond what I'd normally expect) and they'd left us with plenty of recommendations. Couldn't fault them!

Lovely long weekend in this quiet, countryside spot! The place looks incredible in the pictures but actually looks even better in real life! We liked how equally social and private the house can be - there are nooks all over - where you might chill in a group or maybe take some private time. Really lovely surroundings and towns nearby that can be explored.

Weather was beautiful luckily and we caught the most beautiful sunset just at our doorstep.
The property was clean and had all the necessary amenities. Lisa was very helpful throughout and responded very quickly. The place is private and very peaceful. Very ideal for a few days away 🤍

A lovely quaint cottage in Laugharne. Very clean with great heating which was needed. Had a large kitchen with dining room table and chairs and well appointed. Washer/dryer was great. Main bedroom had a small but lovely en-suite. We went there in winter but found really nice walks around the area and some nice cafes still open. Browns restaurant is def worth a visit. Interior abd food is excellent. The Dylan Coastal Resort was open and we enjoyed lovely meals there. Definitely take a trip to Tenby it’s a beautiful seaside town about a 30 min drive.

Such a lovely place to stay, this is the second time I have stayed here. It's so quiet and cosy, everything you could need is provided. Fully equipped kitchen is amazing, made some decent dishes accompanied by a game of trivial pursuit (which was definitely a challenge). Sitting by the fire in the cold evenings, movie on - what more could you ask for!
There was a bit of snow during our stay and Katie at GWE made a point of letting us know the conditions before we arrived, and then checked with us the next day. Thanks Katie ;)

Well what can I say! This accommodation went above and beyond our expectations completely, it is an absolutely stunning property equipped with everything you need to enjoy your holiday! The owners are such kind people also ( The hamper your greeted with is a beautiful touch also ). We enjoyed 4 peaceful days and night here and it was just what we needed, we cooked, enjoyed the fireplaces and sat and enjoyed the quiet both in the day, where you can look out across the valley, but also at night where stargazing was hugely enjoyable. We went on some short trips to enjoy castles and walked locally. A calm, tranquil break that is recommended for those seek a rest from their busy lives. wonderful.

The bungalows position is first class giving extremely beautiful views. Simply put in total it's a must come back situation. If there is a down side it would appear the time goes quicker staying here..

A fantastic property made for a great holiday. Hanna was an excellent host, always responsive and full of recommendations for places to visit. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay again. Our entire family loved the stay.

Great place. Very clean. Felt at home. Only issue was that for a 3 bedroom home it only had 1 bathroom, albeit a very nice bathroom. Hosts were very responsive and answered questions quickly. I'd recommend this place again.

We didn't use lounge upstairs or sitting room off kitchen.
Wandered if you could adapt the sitting room to a dinning room and use more lounge space where dinning able is. Releasing this for a lounge area means you could use the upstairs lounge as an extra bedroom.

We enjoyed our short stay at Sunnybank. The accommodation is very homely & has everything you could need. Lovely hamper & card was left for our arrival 🥰 so thoughtful! Very friendly host & fabulous hot tub with views. We loved an evening soak - stargazing 🌟🤩

Beautiful location down a lane on a farm with fields all around and a little lake in front. The cottage has what you need. It was a bit of a squeeze for our pre teens upstairs but caused no issues. The pool is huge and you have sole access during the stay. Our kids used it every day while I enjoyed a sauna! Richard was a great host. Would recommend.

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Sunny Bank, an idyllic and private with every single thing you can imagine. We were provided with a full tea service and dinner set, basics for breakfast, bathrobes and towels for the stay as well as towels for the hot tub. I honestly think every possible amenity was thought about and provided. The cottage is on a family farm and you have complete privacy, esp in the hot tub which made the stay perfect for us.
The owners live down the road and when we told them the engine light had come on, on the car, and we needed to find a garage they came over and sorted the car, we needed oil but they also added screen wash and coolent and gave further advice. They went above and beyond.
You also don't have to worry about the hot tub, they come and treat it for you daily.
These are truly good people

We had a lovely stay at this property, which is even cosier than it appears in photos. The radiators warmed up to heat the house very quickly during the cold weather.

Beds were really comfy, and we all slept beautifully!

It's a great base for exploring Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Laugharne was a lovely town to return to in the evenings after long days out sightseeing.

Great Welsh escapes were really responsive and communicative to meet all our needs before and during the visit.

On street parking was challenging at times, but we're very used to this at home!

My wife and I spend a very peaceful week here for a much-needed getaway. We loved the gothic features of this converted school house; it was unique and extremely comfortable. There is a beautifully appointed kitchen and we found everything we needed as we self-catered for at least half the time. For the two of us, the conservatory space was perfect for meals, and the comfy sofas in the lounge area were a delight. We had great weather, mostly, but even on the odd chilly days, the heating and hot water worked splendidly. We also appreciated the well-stocked library and little touches like tea and fresh ground coffee. Overall we had a wonderful holiday and would love to stay at this special place again!

We had a lovely few days at The Boathouse. Enjoyed the pool and exploring the beaches nearby. A peaceful stay in a cosy cottage. Thank you!

We had a fantastic staycation experience!

Firstly, the good view we experienced was stunning, especially we witnessed a sunrise you had never seen before. The fact that i am specially mentioning it as it left a strong impression on me .

Additionally, the facility good amenities, including a spacious and clean home and a hot tub. These types of features can make all the difference in creating a relaxing and enjoyable staycation experience.

Overall, it was very positive and happy time we spent with family.
Thanks again as this stay will remain in our and my 6 year old girl memories forever.

What a beautiful cottage, in gorgeous surroundings. The cottage itself is exactly like the photos - spotless clean and so comfortable & cosy. Everything you might need is available in the kitchen and throughtout the property. The cottage is in a remote area, on a farm, so is extremely peaceful and relaxed. Paula, the owner of the property lives close by and is a lady! She gave great recommendations of places to visit. Overall a lovely trip away from home.

Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit. Schon der Empfang mit einem Korb mit walisischen Lebensmitteln und Getränken im Kühlschrank war außergewöhnlich und sehr erfreulich. Der Kontakt zu den Gastgebern war sehr nett. Das Haus ist extrem sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet, es fehlt einfach nichts.

Das ganze Haus ist behindertengerecht gebaut, so auch die Badezimmer.

Alles ist wie auf den Bilder und sehr zu empfehlen.

Eine sehr gute Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage, mitten in der Natur mit toller Aussicht und ideal für viele Tagestouren.

Wir waren sechs Nächte dort und haben noch lange nicht alles gesehen.



Ein sehr schönes Haus für Entspannung und Ausflüge.

I cannot big this properly up enough, the hosts left a lovely welcome basket which was a very lovely and personal touch, Hazel made us feel welcome on arrival and checked everything was okay for us. The property was very cosy and extremely clean, there was robs and towels left for us to use for the hot tub, anything you could think of that you would have needed or wanted was at the property. The property is located in a private area which was amazing for the evenings, however there was an abundance of things for us to do and see through the days just a short drive from the property. There was plenty of restaurants around a ten minute drive away to choose from too. We loved the properly so much we booked an extra nights stay which was so easy to do through the sight. We have already highly recommend the property to friends and family and would surely book the property in the future.

A lovely spacious property which was exactly as described. Hosts were very good with communications before and during our stay and gave good local advice. Thanks for the gift of the Prosecco, tea and Bara Brith, much appreciated.The hot tub was excellent and super views over to the castle. Having extra towels for use in the hot tub was a bonus. The hill up to the property is a bit steep and may not suit everyone but we were fine with it. The property was very clean and tidy throughout, and the kitchen was fully stocked for self catering. I would certainly recommend this property to others.

Would stay again. The Owner of the house (Ros) was extremely helpful! We had a few issues with the hot water going down, but Ros got someone out straight away the it was fixed with hours! She couldn't do enough for us, would love to stay again.

Footprints is a fantastic apartment in a great location, short walk downhill into Saundersfoot, which is a gorgeous town. Apartment is spacious and really well presented with so many extra lovely touches. Large comfy bed. Communication with Sarah was excellent. Fantastic property in a fabulous location. Perfect for a family holiday. Accommodation has the old fashioned cottage appeal but with all the mod cons. Close to several sites of natural beauty. Don't miss out on the local pubs. we will be visiting again.

We had a wonderful stay here. Photos don’t to the cottage justice as cottage and rooms were bigger than photographs allude to. The location was fantastic and so was the communication too. There was a lovely welcome package and everything far exceeded our expectations. Parking was tricky on times however we always managed to find a space nearby. Would most definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay!! The house was so well stocked and had everything we needed. The views are amazing and the hot tub really helped us all to relax. Would definitely stay again!!

We enjoyed staying at the bungalow in Pendine and using it as a base to visit the surrounding attractions and beautiful countryside of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Mona and Graham were excellent hosts. The property was perfect for our needs very clean and homely, modern inside set in beautifully kept grounds and garden, quiet and relaxing.

Great holiday for me, my mother and two teenagers. Very comfortable house, beds were amazingly comfortable and everything was of a high standard. Very well equipped kitchen with extras like a coffee machine. We like to walk and I love cold water swimming so to come back to a cosy and warm house was fantastic. So much to do in the local area.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunny Bank with two children, the bungalow is lovely. It feels like everything is brand-new and we are the first people to stay there, everything was so clean!
We loved:
- The hot tub!
- The fluffy white towels
- The cleanliness
- The location
- The unexpected welcome hamper!
- The views
- The board games for the kids
There is loads to do in the area, we were here for a week and went to:
- Folly Farm
- Local beaches which are all fabulous, especially Llansteffan with the fish & chips
- The National Bird of Prey Centre
- Pembrey Country Park
- Gwili Steam Railway
- Tenby
I highly recommend staying here it is a wonderful place, really well located, and the hosts Hazel and High are so nice and have such a great attention to detail.

It was a beautiful house and with all the amenities anyone could ask for. It really felt as if we were staying in someone's home. Everything you could think of was in the ktichen. It made it very nice to be able to cook home meals there. The view is spectacular from the sun deck and the local town of Laugharne was super friendly. We loved it. highly recommend.

Gwalia House is beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. Laugharne is a fascinating village with a stunning castle, the Dylan Thomas museum, and the coastal path all on your doorstep. There are shops, pubs and places to eat within walking distance and great beaches a short drive away. Great Welsh Estates were so helpful and posted us some things we'd left behind. Highly recommended.
