This house deserves its name ‘Great House’.
Every room is spacious … and there are a lot of them over 4 floors! Special mention for the magnificent bathrooms!
Rooms full of furniture, splendid paintings and impressive pottery on display.
As for the basics: the house was spotlessly clean, gas central heating is very effective (plus a log fire), the huge beds are very comfortable and the kitchen comes well equipped.

Stayed at Awel Taf, lovely property, nice and spacious, a good base for visiting local beaches.

A lovely, modern cottage right in the heart of Laugharne, Chapel View is a good size for two, with a patio garden that is a real sun trap in the morning. Luckily we had great weather so didn’t spend that much time indoors but for those not so fortunate the cottage is a very nice place to be. Easy to book through Great Welsh Escapes who provide plenty of support and who attended to a minor issue we had speedily and efficiently.

Pictures don’t do it justice! Amazing stay, really really great property. Swim spa and sauna are great!! Would definitely recommend.

Amazing listing would definitely stay again. The property is beautiful and very picturesque with lots of charm. The sauna and pool were a lovely addition clean and well kept. Truly a lovely stay in a lovely area.

A fabulous house. Lovely views over countryside in the back garden. The location is excellent you can get everywhere in the area very easily. We were family of 6 and everything worked so well. The weather was on our side and the beaches and facilities were amazing. Coppett Hall our favourite beach. Would book again.

A great location - as with every small town, parking can be an issue - we were out of season so local car park was ok.
Beware of the coastal path to Saundersfoot if it has been raining for a few months (we stayed in March) as it is really no longer a path, more of a water and mud assault course :-)
Tenby is Tenby - a fishing/seaside town town that seems to be able to hold its own well - enough locally to keep most folk happy - and locals seemed genuinely friendly

Our stay at Chapel View in Laugharne, Carmarthen was excellent. The cottage is ideal for two and decorated in modern style and comfort. It is well located in the centre of the upper town and is secure and quiet thanks to double glazing. We really enjoyed Laugharne and the surrounding area.

We were on a driving holiday with our 2 year old and we loved this place. It was perfect. Beautiful Cabin, Super Clean and Peaceful. Highly Recommended.

A very comfortable stay in a beautiful location. The cottage was exactly as described and well equipped. The parking is challenging though! We highly recommend Dexters at Brown's for Sunday lunch, but you must book as it is very popular. Lots of places to eat within walking distance and it is a short stroll to Dylan Thomas's Boathouse and the Castle.

We’ve Just had a superb week at this lovely property near the beach. All the decor is warm and cosy, mattresses are incredibly comfortable with beautiful linen and towels . The kitchen, which is brand new was so well equipped, more than my own kitchen! We didn’t want for anything. The house was immaculately clean throughout.
We were lucky enough to have some blue skies with a view across the sea. Will be returning to enjoy the Sunny garden in the warmer months.

We decided to treat ourselves to a beautiful home for a few days and the Old School was perfect. Easy to find, excellent communication from Jess, problem with bathroom light that was quickly rectified whilst we were out and about.

Laugharne is small but peaceful with all amenities you may need (if you need to do a large food shop however I’d do this before you arrive as the convenience store is very limited in terms of veg / selection etc).

We had a wonderful week in Laugharne. The house was spacious and light but still cosy. The views from the lounge were amazing, the castle was so beautiful and the changing tides meant the view of the estuary was always changing, absolutely breathtaking! We were able to easily walk to a variety of excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs, as well as all local Dylan Thomas attractions which we loved. A visit to the speed museum in Pendine was really enjoyable and only just over 10 mins by car. We would love to return to Laugharne again, it's a fabulous place. And the house was a very welcoming home from home which we were sorry to leave at the end of our holiday.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, you’ve found it. This gem of a property is miles away from anything and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. We spent 3 nights there and felt completely at home. With beautiful country walks literally from your doorstep, breathtaking views are only a few steps away!
Upon arrival, the property had everything you need, with a lovely welcome basket of goodies too. The wood burners are great too and kept the place toasty warm.
We stayed as a couple with our dog but the property will comfortably sleep 2 couples and has enough space that you’re not on top of each other either.
The hosts communicated effectively throughout the process and are thoroughly professional.

Very enjoyable few days in Laugharne. The cottage was peaceful, well equipped and very well located for eateries, pubs and access to tourist spots in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Discovering the bottle of Prosecco and Bara Brith on arrival was a nice surprise.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maesteg Cottage, it was very well equipped and we found everything that we needed plus a lovely welcome pack including Welsh cakes, wine and coffee. The cottage has a few quirky features including an unusual upstairs toilet!! It is a very comfortable and homely property, particularly the beds, we all slept very well. There is also a beautiful enclosed garden on different layers with a secluded spot at the top where you can sit and enjoy the view in the evening sun. The location is good for visiting a variety of places and we enjoyed Laugharne, Tenby, Cardigan, Gwbert and Tresaith Beach and waterfall, all within around 35 minutes travel by car from the cottage. We would stay again.

What a fantastic stay we had at Dyffryn Taf! The area is so quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect escape. The house was immaculate—clean, tidy, and well-presented—and fully equipped with everything our family needed. My kids and I had a truly wonderful time.

A great little place to stay, a couple of small inaccuracies in the ad but we had a great time, especially the children.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this lovely cottage in Laugharne. The cottage is spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable. We never tired of the view across to the castle. Laugharne is a peaceful village with a fascinating history. There is a selection of cafes and pubs and a convenience store close to the cottage. There are some lovely walks from the doorstep and lots to do a little further afield if you have a car to explore Tenby and beyond.

We spent two weeks in this lovely bungalow which is much bigger than the pictures suggest.

Everything guests could possibly need during their stay is there and is all spotlessly clean

We would highly recommend Dyffryn Taf to anyone wanting a comfortable base from which to explore all that this beautiful part of Wales has to offer.

Everything about it. Fantastic place in a beautiful location. The Cors has everything you need. We were 6 adults and 3 children. Loads of room. Pool table, bar, cinema room. Can't fault this place. Truly stunning. Jac was great with communication and I'm sure would do anything for you. Loved every minute of the stay.

The apartment was very comfortable and clean and the weather was amazing during our stay; so we enjoyed the lovely views out to sea. It is worth pointing out that although a fifteen minute walk to the harbour this is all downhill and therefore quite a steep walk back uphill!.The living area is fronting the road which was quite busy and noisy at times with the windows open, although the bedroom to the rear was quite and very comfortable. We had a very enjoyable stay and the flat was well situated for exploring the surrounding area.

The views of the harbour from the bay window are absolutely stunning and there is plenty going on in the sea to keep you entertained. We only wish we'd thought to bring binoculars! The apartment is very comfortable with great beds and both a shower and bath and the location is close to all amenities. There is a large lift. In the summer you can only drop off luggage after 5.30 pm due to traffic restrictions.

Picton cottage studio was beautiful and immaculate. It is furnished to a very high standard. Lovely, warm, peaceful and comfortable. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was really good, so close to Laugharne, St clears and the Pembrokeshire coast.
Picton house hotel 100yrds away serving superb food and entertainment and the Savoy Inn about a mile away also serving great food. Will definitely go back and reccomend.

Location and the property was very nice and we liked the courtyard area the garden was very pretty.

The road outside the house was very busy, we come frome a quiet location and we did notice the traffic coming past.

The cottage was in a great location, close to the shops, restaurants, castle and Dylan's boat house. The facilities in the cottage were good. It was a nice touch to have a welcome pack on arrival.

My partner is tall and we did struggle with the double bed, would have liked a king-size, however we were fully aware of this when booking.

upon arrival we had a card and hamper waiting for us on the table which was definitely a nice touch.
The cottage was spotless clean and had every possible thing you can think of to make our stay comfortable. we felt at home straight away.
The host, Hazel was easily reachable and so very friendly.
10 mins drive in to town and 10 mins away from the beach and castle. in a very quiet and peaceful area.
highlight was the hot tub.

We had a wonderful week at Creek Cottage. Waking to the sounds of a song thrush and blackbird and no traffic noise was wonderful. Prue showed us around the house and explained where things are. Steve and Prue were both very friendly and welcoming.
The castle grounds are glorious - with a huge walled garden and 12th century chapel. It was a pleasure to have access to these. Just one note, the drive is a little rutted and quite steep in places. It may not be easy for lower, more sporty cars.

I work in the private yacht industry so I am used to high standards, the old school house exceeded my expectations it was immaculately clean every detail was first class,the welcome hamper was such a lovely touch.
The area is so perfect for a family holiday the beaches,castles and countryside so much choice.
Thank you for a warm Welsh welcome and a lovely memory.

Fantastic place to stay! Great amenities in the house and so much for kids which was amazing! Great host and beautiful surroundings! Highly recommend for a family stay!

We had a great stay at the cottage. It was even more lovely than the photo's. There was lots of space and it worked well for two couples. The living room was so cosy especially with the fire going, great garden for doggie too. Very handy to have a Co-op a short drive down the road and a bonus that it's open till 10pm. If you're planning on eating out for dinner at any local pubs it's probably best to book in advance especially if you're taking doggie. That said we had a great meal at the Savoy Country Inn which is a 15 minute drive away. I'd definitely stay at Maesteg Cottage again :0)

We had a wonderful stay at Sunny Bank with two children, the bungalow is lovely. It feels like everything is brand-new and we are the first people to stay there, everything was so clean!
We loved:

There is loads to do in the area, we were here for a week and went to:

Many, many thanks to Hazel and Hugh for a lovely stay in your beautiful cottage. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The cottage was completely immaculate, making us feel like we were the first guests ever to stay there. Walking through into the kitchen, we were greeted with delicious Welsh goodies in a thoughtful and much appreciated welcome-hamper, (including milk and juice in the fridge for the all-important post-travelling cuppa), and this pretty much set the tone for the perfect break-away!
From the super-comfy beds, which induced us all to lie-in of a morning, to the fabulous hot-tub with breathtaking views, which allowed us quality re-connecting time as a family with two teenagers, Sunnybank Cottage was perfect for a relaxing break as a family. We genuinely couldn't have asked for me - thank you for sharing your beautiful corner of the world with us.

The views of the castle and estuary were amazing and we never tired of looking at them from the lounge! The village is beautiful with pubs and restaurants within a short walk. There were always people around providing a nice atmosphere without being busy with a few useful shops, but not spoilt with seaside souvenir ones. Sitting on a bench in the grass area by the castle and estuary, with an ice cream from the van in the car park can’t be beaten!!

The Cottage, Laugharne offers a huge, warm Welsh cwtsh. Set on the stunning estuary, the house with its magnificent rooms and facilities is an absolute gem, for groups and families. Highly recommended!

Everything about this property is great. Hosts are very warm and takes guest's comfort very seriously. We were welcomed with Easter treats and a delicious welsh cake. The instructions booklet provided by host had everything we needed. Rooms were spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. WOW! This property was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are incredible. The house itself is furnished beautifully, amazing artwork and a mix of modern and an older feel! The property is so quirky, you really won’t find anywhere else like this. Jac was amazing throughout the booking process and whilst at the property too. He even got 50 balloons and a bottle of bubbly for my mum when I said we were coming for her birthday, so kind! Our dog Alfie loved the garden. The fact that this dog friendly makes it even better! A great place to use as a base to explore the area and has a good very long beach , the walk down to the beach is very steep so could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues , best to check tides too as it was not possible to walk on the beach if the tide was in but there are places to eat or drink and just gaze at the sea .
Nearby Laugherne and Narberth are lovely friendly bustling places to visit .

The Hidden Valley is beautiful - newly decorated, super comfy sofas and beds, kitchen fully equipped (they have thought of everything!), and the snug is a real bonus. It was fantastic to walk out of the bedroom door in the morning and enjoy the spectacular view. I'm a keen stargazer, and the dark skies were an absolute wonder. Got some great photos of the Milky Way and it was a real treat using my telescope. Location-wise, there are so many gorgeous beaches nearby (Tenby, Saundersfoot, Wisemans Bridge, Manorbier and Barafundle were our favourites), lots to do for the kids and for adults, and plenty of places to stock up on amenities just a short drive away. Loved every minute, thank you for a fantastic week!

Wonderful stay in this beautiful house! The view from the house and the balcony is amazing. The house was clean and very well equiped. We really enjoyed the jaccuzi either by rain or sun. Nice places to visit around with children (Tenby, barafungle bay, carrew castle, laugharne castle, etc.). Apartment clean enough and well equipped. Lovely balcony and views. Everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The guest book is great and has all the details you need. Hosts were friendly and responsive when recommending places for food.
Not much to do around the location but easy enough to get into Saundersfoot and Tenby.
Luckily no one was staying in the apartment above us but I didn’t see a mention of this when booking. Car park space right outside which is good and then an overflow car park for any extra cars.

Gwalia House is beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. Laugharne is a fascinating village with a stunning castle, the Dylan Thomas museum, and the coastal path all on your doorstep. There are shops, pubs and places to eat within walking distance and great beaches a short drive away. Great Welsh Estates were so helpful and posted us some things we'd left behind. Highly recommended.

What a find!! We were looking for a last minute break and stumbled across this beautiful house. When we arrived we were blown away. It’s quirky decor, the size, the facilities (pool table and cinema room were a massive hit!), the grounds and the location were spot on. It was refreshing to find something so beautiful that was also dog friendly. Our dog is a big part of our family, she has mobility issues so we struggle to leave her, having the option to take her to such a stunning house was perfect.
Big thank you to Jac for all the beautiful little touches, those that were specific to us (the welcome hamper and sign) and those that were just throughout the house (the bbq with gas ready to use, the hot water bottles in the bedrooms, the toiletries etc) it really does make your house and our holiday even more memorable.

The house is absolutely beautiful and we had a lovely stay. The garden is large and secure, so we didn’t have to worry about our dog escaping, and it was great to have a heated swimming pool.

A beautiful and unique place to stay - check the photos on their website listing to see what I mean! Really comfortable and cosy - perfect for a family or couples wanting to take time out to explore the local area and chill in a relaxed setting. Beautiful house in a stunning location with amazing views over the estuary. We stayed as a group of old school-friends and decided to spoil ourselves by having a bedroom each! The kitchen/dinner/living room is great as it keeps the group together when someone is preparing food. The conservatory was also lovely when someone needed time out. It's ideally located in the centre of Laugharne village, really close to the amenities. Most of the group were able to arrive by public transport, although there was plenty of space in the car park had more of us travelled by car. Loved all the Welsh art on the walls and touches like the Eisteddfod chair in one of the bedrooms. The portholes in the bedroom doors in the attic were quirky too. The only suggestion would be to sort the key lock as it was jammed! Diolch yn fawr for a memorable stay. We would definiely recommend to other large groups.

Lovely setting, even though it mostly rained it was AMAZING!
The Cottage is incredible and I would love to go back in the Summer and make even more use of the outdoor space. The dogs absolutely loved it from arrival to departure. Spacious, clean, warm and delightful.

My stepdaughter and I spent an amazing week over Christmas and it was every bit as we imagined it would be. We took our 2 dogs with us and spent days at the dog friendly beaches near by. It was all so picturesque and peaceful. Would recommend it 100%

A home from home in a beautiful location.
We chose The Cors as a group of friends with small children to spend our New Years celebrations.
Everything about it was perfect from start to finish!
Ideal location for lovely dog walks (which were even lovely in the rain) a beautiful garden to admire and an immaculate house full to the brim with everything and more than you need!
The pictures really don’t do it justice, it’s a must to visit!
Jac as a host went above and beyond from start to finish for us, from answering questions before our arrival to going out of his way to replace items whilst we were there!
Cannot recommend this house enough, it’s an ideal family home to enjoy quality time together in an ideal location.

The house was in a perfect location to view the castle and estuary. It is beautifully furnished and was exceptionally clean. It's an upside down living arrangement with the lounge and kitchen upstairs to make the most of the view and bedrooms on the ground floor Everything was thought of and a welcome pack of shortbread, waffle biscuits and prosecco was so appreciated.

Nothing! The house had been shut up so there was a slight musty smell when we first arrived but as soon as we opened the windows it was fine and in no way detracted from the lovely surroundings.

Amazing location, property exactly as described, clean property, helpful owners.

Everything thing was great....amazing views over the castle and the river Taff.
Even on a wet February morning the views where worth the money.
The whole property was clean and very modern.
The village is very close with all amenities BUT please try Ty Glo....this eatery was one of the highlights.....a jewel that's hidden from sight.

Had a very lovely mini break at Cliff Haven. Flat was very clean, comfortable, warm and cosy, with a fabulous view of the sea and located very close to the beach. Thank you .

The cleanest and most well equipped place we've ever stayed at. A beautiful and spaceous bungalow i'd have no hesitation in recommending. Friendly host checked in on us and showed us how to use the hot tub but was never intruding. Also gave us a beautiful hamper and bottle of wine. If we're ever staying in the area again I will book again.

Great holiday!
The accommodation was just what we wanted for a relaxing break with our dogs, just perfect.
Lots of walking from the door and only a short drive to lots of different areas including the coast.
Perfect location for us, we would definitely return!

It was a lovely bungalow. Everything which was needed to feel at home was present. All of the things for use were very high quality 👌. There was also a gift pack for us. Bottle of Milk Juice and wine was also given.
Amazing location. Hot tub was so perfect. Good size and also very private.
Hazel and the family were very helpful and generous throughout our stay. Willing to go out of the way for their guests.
We had a great time and my daughter also left a review in their diary. She is 9 and wouldn't want to leave the bungalow.

We found the kitchen well equipped and spacious and the lounge cosy in the evenings. Beds were comfy and we used all 3 bedrooms. The location is good with easy access to walking paths. Laugharne was quieter than we had anticipated for early July and not all businesses were open, e.g. the fish and chip shop was open at lunchtime but closed in the evening. As other reviewers have commented, we did not find it possible to park in the street near the house during our stay. We used the washing machine and an outdoor washing line would have been useful.
There is a garden/outside space but we didn’t use it as we didn’t have great weather.
Great Welsh Escapes were easy to contact and helpful. We would happily book via them again if we were to revisit Wales.

Overall, great place to stay at. The pictures appeared as if the property was very spacious however the rooms were smaller than we expected.

We had a lovely stay at buendy, beautiful barn conversion with hot tub. Dog friendly which was a massive bonus, safe and secure garden area for them to roam around. Will definitely be back, lovely quiet location but not too far from Carmarthen town centre.

Amazing welcome we Loved our stay , really comfortable, lovely place to stay , fab views, immaculately clean , beautiful accommodation and amazing hot tub , We bumped into the hosts in the village and they were really friendly . We’ve already booked to stay again. 5* looking forward to returning next year for hubby’s birthday thank you so very much xx
