Great place to stay particularly for groups and/or with kids. The games room was loved by the young and old kids. Location is rural…a 40 minute off road walk to the village. Owner and local farmer very friendly and helpful. Also nice secure garden for the dog. Would definitely come again.

This is a spacious two-bed cottage in an excellent location. Very well equipped and an excellent shower!! Quiet and peaceful.

We had a fantastic stay at Wildhaven - the remote location was exactly the break we needed.
The house is as lovely as the pictures, well equipped and extremely peaceful.
The weather wasn’t great the week we stayed but it didn’t matter! We had one clear night and the blanket of stars in the sky was magical. The WiFi was good and phone reception ok. We’d recommend staying!

We had a fantastic week in Laugharne at Gwalia House. The accommodation was fantastic, spotlessly clean and exactly as described and was perfectly located to enjoy all the Laugharne and the surrounding area has to offer. Laugharne itself is gorgeous and such a friendly place, we especially liked Poon over the road! The hosts (Great Welsh Escape) were very communicative and even responded to questions on bank holiday! We loved Gwalia House and definitely hope to be back.

Lovely space on one level, great for little ones. Grand parents escaped to the annexe, which was rented separately, well equipped, bed linen beautiful , kitchen brilliant for larger numbers, two ovens, two fridges , great area, laugherne is special, and close to those important beaches for the little ones . We had a great week ! Perfect house, perfect location

Beautiful traditional Georgian house in all her finery. We loved our stay even though it was just the two of us! Kitchen was really well equipped and Log burner was perfect for afternoon tea and relaxing

Sunny Bank is an outstanding place to stay for a short or long break as it is remarkably well equipped with everything you require.

Immaculate throughout, extremely spacious making it easily accessible for disabled and wheelchair users .

Outside, the gardens are accessible, there are seating areas with extensive views across the countryside.

A hot tub to relax in the day or night ..just perfect.

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the
"Welcome Hamper" and Fresh goods milk ,juice eggs etc .
This was a delightful thought and very much appreciated. Thank you Huw and Hazel for all your help.

Had a fantastic few days away at the barn, really lovely property in a great location. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed, it was spotless throughout and had a nice comfy sofa. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want to explore this part of Wales!

We had a great couple of days at Wildhaven. It was an ideal combination of remote, long walks from the door, quiet, yet an easy 20 minutes drive from a few villages with pubs and shops. The dogs loved it too! The house itself was fantastic, really great facilities and furniture. Everything was perfect!

Laugharne a lovely, quirky village, enjoyed strolling by the estuary in the evenings. Good location to explore the local area, great beach for families at Pendine and only 30 minutes from Tenby.

We had a lovely family holiday at The Cors. Jac was a great host, organising an extra cot for us which was set up and ready to go. On arrival the whole house was spotlessly clean and there was a welcome pack of local bread, cake etc. Throughout the stay Jac was in contact to check everything was fine which we found reassuring.

the perfect half term holiday break for me, my wife, our 13 year old and dog. Matt, the host, couldn't have been more responsive, or helpful. The property itself was idyllic, matched only by the breathtaking countryside. Scenic beach walks less than half an hour's drive away. A swimming pool and sauna less than half a minute's stroll away. We are now back in London and already want to return....

A beautiful cottage in a great location. It has been beautifully renovated with lots of attention to detail and felt modern but homely. It had everything you needed and was comfy and cosy. Having a designated parking spot was really handy and appreciated. We will definitely go back to Rhif Un in the near future.

The old school house is a beautiful unusual & spacious holiday home. It had everything we needed & is in a quiet location that allowed us to explore the local towns, castles & beaches easily. Travelling with a small child we loved finding the many games tucked away in various cupboards & especially enjoyed the welcome bottle of wine & cake!!

It was a good place, we had a good time and the owner was very communicative and very helpful.
We had issues with wifi not working during our stay, looks like it was an BT issue (BT were called and attended but couldn't rectify the issue). Which did rob us off some quality time in the evenings.

Really lovely property surrounded by beautiful Welsh nature! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We had such a great time and wished we had a few extra days. The kitchen was prepped with everything we needed (and more!), with a nice welcome basket filled with delicious treats. We also enjoyed browsing through the vast DVD collection. Can't wait to go back!

We found the location & accommodation just perfect. The host(Stuart) is such a nice guy and full of really good recommendations and advice on the surrounding area. The swim/spa area was fantastic and a real attraction that doesn't disappoint .Charlie the Peacock was an added bonus. He really is a sight to behold. We would 100% recommend this holiday accommodation and its host.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the hosts very welcoming. They gave us bara brith cake, rose wine and biscuits. Supplied tea, coffee, sugar and a host of ‘extras’ for our stay.

This property is definitely worth a stay. It’s all freshly refurbished, well presented and in a lovely little town.

When we got home, my daughter said, “I miss Rhif Un.” What a lovely stylish cottage. Everything was lovely; the sofa, the 72” TV, the bedrooms, the bathroom fixtures… everything!

We ate at one of the pubs in Laugharne and the food was scrumptious. Tenby beach was half an hour away. We parked at the Park and Ride. We ate Florentino’s Italian Restaurant - amazing food here.

Laugharne is very peaceful and there is a park near the cottage. It’s literally a minute’s walk.

The kitchen had everything we needed. You won’t be disappointed if you stay at Rhif Un.

We had a lovely last minute get away here. Perfect for a relaxing few days.

We had a wonderful long weekend in Laugharne! The cottage was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, the pictures don't really do it justice. The view from the balcony is breathtaking on a sunny day, with the sea on the horizon. We were also greeted with a small selection of treats that were greatly appreciated.
The only thing to note is that the access is through a slightly bumpy downhill farm path - this wasn't an issue for us in the spring though.

Lovely accommodation, incredibly comfortable. Very clean and well equipped. Easy check in and out.

Jess was very responsive and helpful. Our son got very high fever on the last day and Emily was very kind to extend our check out by a whole hour. The house in itself is gorgeous and extremely clean just as the pictures. However, in regards to the location of the house, it’s not close to either the beach or the castle unlike the impression we got from the pictures posted. It’s in the middle of a farm residential area. Our son quite enjoyed waking up to the mooing of cows but the stench of the cow manure does waft through the house if you open the doors and the windows. All in all, we did enjoy our stay at the house immensely.

We stayed as part of a group of 5 adults and had a fantastic time. The house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable whilst making a great base to explore. The kitchen is well stocked utensil wise and the dining room a beautiful place to eat. Bedrooms are spacious and with two sitting areas there was more than enough space for us. The hosts helped guide us to some eating places a short drive away too. A fantastic place for a family or a group of friends for a relaxing time.

We are a family of 5 and the house was definitely spacious enough for us. The views are breathtaking and the area is just so beautiful. We took time to enjoy the peace and the beautiful stars at night. The castle wonderful to see and the people were so welcoming and friendly. We would highly recommend.

Stayed at Chapel View. A few teething problems as brand new but dealt with brilliantly and quickly by GWE and the lovely owners who live next door. Beautiful cottage - didn’t want to leave!!! And would hugely recommend local walks and a trip to Pendine Sands. And Tapas from the Ferryman which is 2 doors down!!

Brilliant place to stay for a relaxing break away. Secluded enough to feel away from people but close enough drives to villages/towns.
The house was immaculate and much bigger than i anticipated from the photos. Comfy beds and nice to have a lounge separate from the kitchen.
We took our 9 month old with us and they had everything we needed such as travel cot, high chair, bath seat, all the way to spoons/bowls/swim nappies and more.
The hot tub was an added bonus, was lovely to sit in at night and relax listening to..well the silence!
Could not fault this place at all and will definitely return

Wildhaven was the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. The views were absolutely stunning and the cottage was large and beautifully furnished. The beds were really comfortable and each bathroom luxurious. The garden was large, fenced, but sadly not secure enough for a determined Cocker Spaniel. It's isolation meant the only sounds were the mountain sheep and the early morning wake up call from the local crows. Our host, Jess was regularly in contact which was so helpful. Our week at Wildhaven has had such a positive impact on us that we will be back next year.

A great place to use as a base to explore the area and has a good very long beach , the walk down to the beach is very steep so could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues , best to check tides too as it was not possible to walk on the beach if the tide was in but there are places to eat or drink and just gaze at the sea .
Nearby Laugherne and Narberth are lovely friendly bustling places to visit .

Absolutely beautiful property in a breathe taking location. A real 'off the grid' feel without feeling like you are completely isolated. Incredible walks on the door step and a lovely cosy but very private property. The wood burners were a real highlight. Great proactive and very responsive communication from the host. We felt right at home and enjoyed the thoughtful touches and masses of local information provided. We will definitely be returning (asap I hope)!

I stayed at The Cors Country House with my family for 4 nights in early September 2021 and I would 100% recommend it to anyone! The Cors is a really stunning place to stay - the house is full of character and very comfortable with lots of fun 'extras' like the pool room, the cinema room and lots of games - and the garden is enormous and very tranquil and beautifully kept! The owners were also very hospitable and responsive and suggested many 'hidden gems' in the nearby area for us to explore, which we loved! We would definitely come back to the Cors or one of the other holiday properties that are available from Great Welsh Escapes - it's a great local company and we 100% recommend them! The house is situated high on a hill overlooking beautiful farmland and the beach. It was so incredibly peaceful to sit on the veranda. The beds were very comfortable and the place was decorated beautifully. The cupboards were labelled and stocked with everything you could need for cooking a family meal.

The en-suite shower pressure wasn’t the strongest, but still nice and warm. We didn’t have fire wood for the wood burner, but didn’t need to use it because the weather was lovely! No complaints though! Would book again!

Me, my wife and my little girl thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Neil and Mel’s place. They were lovely hosts and offered some great local recommendations. Their place was fabulous and it was clear to see how much time and effort has gone in to making the cottage a wonderful place to stay. It was a great base for us to explore the local area.

Hillside location with wonderful view of river Towy estuary. Property is immaculately and comfortably presented with every facility for four adults and two children.

I recently stayed at Frogmore in Laughne and had a fantastic experience. The rental was located in a beautiful area , including a great view of the nearby castle. The property itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also a very last minute booking and the contact at Great welsh escapes was incredibly helpful at accommodating us.

One thing I particularly appreciated was the attention to detail in the décor and furnishings. It was clear that the owners had put a lot of thought into creating a warm and inviting space that felt like a home away from home.

Overall, I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway . The location, amenities, and attention to detail made it a truly memorable stay.

Lovely bungalow with extensive garden just a shame it’s not gated to make it safer for dogs and children. Handy position close to the village of Laugharne. Would gladly stay again. Great to have Jac on the end of the phone if needed. A lovely personal touch.

The cottage is very cosy. Living room is cosy with a large fireplace but plenty of space. The sofas are a bit tired but not a problem.
We travelled during a 30°+ heat wave and the living room was very cool due to the stone walls which made it a very welcome place to be!
The garden is lovely and full of secret paths for the kids but be warned, there is a pond exposed, so no good for toddlers.
The area is fantastic with Pembrokeshire coast and loads of things for the kids.
Only gripe is that there is no parking by the cottage other than a layby. There is a car park 150 yards up the road however which allows you to see some incredible scenery of the area, so absolutely this is not a negative overall.
Worth mentioning that there is no TV signal or mobile coverage although there was broadband and WiFi available.

A wonderful cottage which was beautifully furnished with everything you should need for a relaxing break away . Beds were so comfortable and was great that both bedrooms had en-suites . The lounge with the huge tv was lovely to relax in during the evening . Really convenient parking just opposite the cottage . A fantastic little place that we would highly recommend .

We really enjoyed our stay in Castle View in Laugharne. The house was just as described , small but beautifully appointed and ideal for a couple with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. It was centrally located on the main street only a short walk from the pubs, shops and excellent restaurants. Laugharne is a great base for exploring the area as well as having lovely walks and places of historical interest, notably the Castle and Dylan Thomas's house and writing shed. The locals are really friendly and made us welcome, especially Vince in Poon's and the staff in Portreeves bar.
Altogether we had great holiday and can't wait to go back again. Highly recommended

We chose The Cors as a group of friends with small children to spend our New Years celebrations.
Everything about it was perfect from start to finish!
Ideal location for lovely dog walks (which were even lovely in the rain) a beautiful garden to admire and an immaculate house full to the brim with everything and more than you need!
The pictures really don’t do it justice, it’s a must to visit!
Jac as a host went above and beyond from start to finish for us, from answering questions before our arrival to going out of his way to replace items whilst we were there!
Cannot recommend this house enough, it’s an ideal family home to enjoy quality time together in an ideal location.

Lovely private cottage, set amongst the Welsh countryside. Very quiet and well appointed. Private use of the pool, which was huge! Sauna was also very nice.

This house deserves its name ‘Great House’.
Every room is spacious … and there are a lot of them over 4 floors! Special mention for the magnificent bathrooms!
Rooms full of furniture, splendid paintings and impressive pottery on display.
As for the basics: the house was spotlessly clean, gas central heating is very effective (plus a log fire), the huge beds are very comfortable and the kitchen comes well equipped.

Large, clean and private indoor heated pool plus sauna. Very tranquil location overseeing the lake. There are not other guests as there is only one property for holiday makers so it is very private feeling just like a second home. There are everything needed in the house.
Occasional flies in the house and farm smell outside 😄 but no smell in the house.

Stayed for a few days at The Cors. An amazing Arts and Crafts house in Laugharne. A beautiful large garden, lost in time, an oasis of tranquility, yet just minutes from the village and Dylan Thomas' Boathouse. The bedrooms are individually designed, all with big flat screen TVs and modern bathrooms. I highly recommend staying in this extremely romantic, charming and comfortable house.

A beautiful house in peaceful surroundings. Gwalia house has been lovingly and thoughtfully decorated. The welcome gifts included home grown tomatoes and a delicious wine as well as some beautiful cut flowers. Also appreciated the very comfy beds and how clean the property was kept. Laugharne is a quaint and peaceful town with the castle, pubs and restaurants right on your doorstep. We recommend the local Dylan Thomas Boathouse walk. There’s lovely views of the Gower and River Taf. Also not too far away - a 30-45 minute drive - if you want to visit different parts of the South Pembrokeshire coast.

Balmoral us an excellent holiday property situated in Pendine with its lovely sandy beaches.
The owners are so welcoming and will do anything to make your holiday go well.

A lovely and quiet place to stay to get away from it all. Perfect location at the end of the lane, surrounded by the forest and with everything you need for a comfortable stay. And yet, only a few minutes from Laugherne one way and Pendine the other with beautiful beaches and scenery. A little further are Saundersfoot and Tenby, which we would highly recommend visiting both for a wander round the shops and for the lovely long beach. All in all, a great week.

Very pleasant apartment with two spacious well furnished rooms. Cosy with good heating should it be needed. Laugharne is a lovely place with plenty of good walks and local facilities for food and drink.

An absolutely beautiful spacious farmhouse with a hot tub. Hanna was an incredible host and went out of her way to hand deliver bbq utensils to us and was very friendly throughout our stay. This is an amazing place to stay with beautiful views. Watching the sunset from the hot tub was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice relaxing stay in the countryside which you won’t regret. It is a great private space and perfect for couples or families. I recently stayed at Frogmore in Laughne and had a fantastic experience. The rental was located in a beautiful area , including a great view of the nearby castle. The property itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also a very last minute booking and the contact at Great welsh escapes was incredibly helpful at accommodating us.

One thing I particularly appreciated was the attention to detail in the décor and furnishings. It was clear that the owners had put a lot of thought into creating a warm and inviting space that felt like a home away from home.

Overall, I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway . The location, amenities, and attention to detail made it a truly memorable stay.

It was absolutely beautiful. Clean and bright and everything you thought you’d need they had it. Beautiful bathroom, bedrooms, kitchen and lounge it was exceptional. The hot tub was fabulous and relaxing. The beds were so comfy and it’s so peaceful there too. We had a fantastic weekend and will be returning. Highly recommend 10⭐️

A great location - as with every small town, parking can be an issue - we were out of season so local car park was ok.
Beware of the coastal path to Saundersfoot if it has been raining for a few months (we stayed in March) as it is really no longer a path, more of a water and mud assault course :-)
Tenby is Tenby - a fishing/seaside town town that seems to be able to hold its own well - enough locally to keep most folk happy - and locals seemed genuinely friendly

York Lodge is an amazing house which was beautifully presented and in immaculate condition.
Everything you need is within a five minute walk and the views are stunning.
Would highly recommend this house and town as a place to stay

FOOTPRINTS is a lovely flat in a great location , the walk to the beach just opposite is amazing. The flat is immaculate, well decorated, great storage space and has everything needed for 2. can not fault it in any way .
The owner was helpful and very friendly.
Great Welsh Escapes were always on hand to answer any questions, nothing was any trouble.

Beudy Howel was a beautifully renovated property. It was light & airy and exceptionally well appointed. There was a thoughtful welcome package. Lots of easy to follow instructions and lists of restaurants & beaches. I would highly recommend staying here, it was lovely & quiet.

We have had the most amazing time at Cliff Haven for my daughters Birthday. The view is breathtaking, the property has everything we needed. We are sad to leave & will definitely book again! 5*. Thank you! X

It was very clean and had everything you could wish for. They really have thought of everything it was amazing. The hot tub was appreciated after a busy day exploring.

Picton cottage studio was beautiful and immaculate. It is furnished to a very high standard. Lovely, warm, peaceful and comfortable. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was really good, so close to Laugharne, St clears and the Pembrokeshire coast.
Picton house hotel 100yrds away serving superb food and entertainment and the Savoy Inn about a mile away also serving great food. Will definitely go back and reccomend.

We are a family of 5 and the house was definitely spacious enough for us. The views are breathtaking and the area is just so beautiful. We took time to enjoy the peace and the beautiful stars at night. The castle wonderful to see and the people were so welcoming and friendly. We would highly recommend.

We LOVED York Lodge - Laugharne is beautiful and although I didn't know much about Dylan Thomas before I went, reading his 'Poem in October' written on his 30th birthday; whilst walking his 'birthday walk' (in October) and seeing what he was looking at and referring to was one of the most moving experiences. The emotion of it took me by surprise! The views are out of this world and a short walk from York Lodge. I am SO glad we came here and will most definitely come back again.

Beautifully styled compact cottage situated on the high street close to the amenities of Laugharne. Everything in the village is a short walk away, including the magnificent castle down the hill. We liked the Farrow and Ball decor. The galleried bedroom area upstairs, not shown in the spec, had a wow effect when we first viewed it, presented in a boutique hotel style. Best of all the bathroom with a great walk in shower. Everything in the property felt brand new and was immaculate upon our arrival. All in all I would be happy to recommend this property to anyone wanting a break in this part of Wales.
Small problem accessing key, but that was resolved promptly.

The Cottage, Laugharne.
The house was absolutely perfect for us (11 of us), loads of room for us all and the dog.
The uninterrupted views of the estuary, from the garden and bedrooms, were amazing. The house was 5*.

Laugharne is a great place to holiday, the village itself having pubs, restaurants and tea rooms with loads to do within a short distance.

We booked as it was our friends 50th in Laugharne. Was a perfect place to stay, the shower was particularly great as our water pressure at home is terrible but this is powerful and perfect temperature which felt like a real treat lol. Lovely homely touches like a bottle of wine, milk for tea, and some snacks why we weren’t expecting but were very welcome. It’s ideal for a weekend getaway and had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

We booked this place last minute and we wasn’t disappointed, upon arrival down the driveway we was amazed. The house impressed us in many ways, quirky, stylish, comfortable, homely, different but most of all very enjoyable. The host kept in contact with us throughout our stay, great rooms for entertaining, including the bar area. We enjoyed our short break immensely. Thank you very much

Stayed at Awel Taf, lovely property, nice and spacious, a good base for visiting local beaches.

The pictures really do not do it justice. It was perfect for us and would definitely recommend Round Park. I would suggest updating the photos and facilities available.

The check in time of 5PM was difficult with children, but understand COVID has had an impact on this. It just seems a lot of money to pay for a late check in.

Lovely property, suited our stay of four adults perfectly.
One of our guests is around 6 3" and found himself hitting the light fittings as they are all quite low hanging!!
It was very cosy for an autumn break.

Stayed at Chapel View. A few teething problems as brand new but dealt with brilliantly and quickly by GWE and the lovely owners who live next door. Beautiful cottage - didn’t want to leave!!! And would hugely recommend local walks and a trip to Pendine Sands. And Tapas from the Ferryman which is 2 doors down!!

Stunning house, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. A lovely place to stay and steeped in local history. The ever-changing view over the estuary was a joy each morning.

You can spend hours watching the changing weather and tides over the estuary. The birdlife is fabulous to watch and its a photographer's paradise. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay. V clean. Large rooms and lovely space with guide book/home finishes. Good location for Tenby, Saundersfoot and the coast as well as to Pembrokeshire west coast and the Gower. Local amenities in the village and v friendly hosts.

Booking to go to Laugharne I used Great Welsh Escapes and they managed our booking brilliantly. The place we had booked was amazing, a huge 1 bed in a quiet area just walking distances from the town centre and the castle! Highly recommend and I am already using Great Welsh Escapes again in the next couple of months!

We have had a brilliant stay at Lloret. The property was spotlessly clean with everything we needed and more. The location was ideal for exploring on foot and further afield, and every morning I was wowed anew by the view. I would highly recommend Great Welsh Escapes. They go the extra mile with a personal touch, the best holiday company I have dealt with in recent times.

Firstly this place is just so amazing, stunning inside, very clean, really good communication, planty of space for our dog, and much more good things I definitely recommend this place and planning already to come back soon.

Dolau Taf is the perfect accommodation for two people. Apart from it being warm & welcoming, it was the little simple but thoughtful touches that appealed. Salt & pepper, herbs & oil for cooking meals & a bottle of red wine to enjoy with your meal. These are things that make the difference on arrival. Thank you Anne & Peter.

There wasn't anything we didn’t like about Dolau Taf apart from having to leave after only three days to continue with our holiday at another location in Wales. We will definitely return in the future.

Seaview is a spectacular place to stay and the photos do not do justice to the space or how perfectly placed it is. We had a 4 day stay and with a full house were fully accommodated for all 9 of us. Michelle was there to greet us on day 1 and went out of her way to help where she could to help make our stay comfortable and gave great local reccomendations. Thanks again for everything!

We had a pleasant long weekend here. The house is lovely, especially the kitchen and dining room. The beds were also super comfy which was nice. The only minor improvements would be that the sofa needed a good clean and there was a broken chair in the dining room. Other than that, our stay was lovely and we would definitely stay again. Location was great, only being a 10 minute walk down to the beach.

A really lovely property- I stayed with five friends for a long weekend and we loved the space, the kitchen was so well appointed and the bathrooms all lovely. Comfy beds, warm and cosy, and it was easy to find parking which was great with three cars. I’d easily recommend it to others- Laugharne isn’t the most bustling location (loved the Three Mariners pub!) but really easy to get out to Tenby and other beautiful areas around. I only wish we’d had slightly later check out!

The neighbours parking outside the gates, it’s a very narrow gateway into the property. Most nights were impossible to get in.

We just had a wonderful week staying at Wildhaven. A perfect way to unplug by soaking up the peaceful solitude of the beautiful Brecon Beacons. The property has been renovated with great care and attention. A luxurious and modern home from home with that essential vintage farmhouse feel retained throughout. We’ll be back for sure.
