Located among rolling fields, with free-roaming sheep and winding mountain roads, Wildhaven offers complete tranquility from everyday living - quiet nights save the sound of local wildlife: unpolluted night skies to gaze upon the stars; and plenty of hikes, trails, forests, and mountains to enjoy all no further than an hour’s drive away.

Coupled with its charming features and modern comforts, and superb, communicative hosts, it had everything we needed for a perfect trip away from it all.

(FYI stores and amenities are likely further away than you’ll be used to (especially during lockdown, nearest supermarket is about 25-30 min drive), and WiFi and phone signal really is intermittent and poor around Wildhaven. Come prepared for a digital detox!)

The Cottage, Laugharne.
The house was absolutely perfect for us (11 of us), loads of room for us all and the dog.
The uninterrupted views of the estuary, from the garden and bedrooms, were amazing. The house was 5*.

Laugharne is a great place to holiday, the village itself having pubs, restaurants and tea rooms with loads to do within a short distance.

Beautiful. Fabulous kitchen and outdoor space. Very comfy beds and excellent showers.
My only slight criticism is the lounge sitting area isn’t very comfy. Thankfully we were only 2 people but would have struggled with 4/6.

Hazel could not of been anymore hospitable could she of tried. We had a stunning welcome pack and then Hazel went above and beyond with some eggs and after she spent a morning strawberry picking she even shared what she had gathered with us. The location is remote but perfect. Stunning bungalow with amazing and tranquil views from every window and the most well equipped air BnB I have ever stayed in. Honestly we did not want for anything. From a bbq, fans, torches, shower items, robes, towels - you name it. And the hot tub just topped it off!!
We struggled to get in touch with Welsh Escapes for check in info.
But please rest assured, Hazels place is well worth the money and Hazel is super friendly and super helpful. And the communication initially is with Welsh Escapes and not Hazel directly.

An absolutely beautiful spacious farmhouse with a hot tub. Hanna was an incredible host and went out of her way to hand deliver bbq utensils to us and was very friendly throughout our stay. This is an amazing place to stay with beautiful views. Watching the sunset from the hot tub was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice relaxing stay in the countryside which you won’t regret. It is a great private space and perfect for couples or families. Can’t wait to come back again for another memorable break :)

Lovely accommodation that was very clean and the hosts were on hand if needed as live next door. Perfect for a family of 4-6 people with 3 large bedrooms. The property was very well situated to visit all of West Wales.

It was such a pleasure to stay at this cottage in gorgeous Laugharne. The cottage is recently renovated and was fresh, clean and comfortable throughout. And the cottage has a great view of the castle. Great Welsh Escapes were excellent - very easy to communicate with and helpful. We had a lovely stay.

Parking was a little tricky at times

Fantastic location and lovely property. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. It was lovely and warm and spacious. A special thank you to Sammie from Great Welsh Escapes who responded to our one minor issue at 10pm on a Saturday evening and ensured it was all sorted by the following morning - that shows fantastic commitment and customer service.

Really enjoyed our stay, lovely large bedroom and bathroom, lounge smaller than expected but cosy and comfortable. Double glazing kept the room quiet. Lots of places to eat and drink. Would definitely stay again.

This place is lovely spacious clean and well equipped .Hazel (the host ) popped past to make sure we had everything we needed and left us a lovely hamper. I will definitely return.if I had one very small negative comment it would be the booking in on line with great Welsh escapes .quite simple when Jess their employee guided me through the process and sending me a link to follow just a bit annoying as I booked it through Airbnb who already have all the details I repeated on the online booking form . Never the less this fabulous place was worth the extra form to fill in thank you very much hazel

The house is spotless, and nicely decorated. It's easy to access and efficiently organised. We had some initial problems getting the heating to work due to low pressure in the boiler but this was quickly resolved. It was convenient to be able to bring our dog, and the location itself is excellent for easy access to Tenby, Saundersfoot and nearby beaches. 5pm does seem quite late for a check in time - perhaps this could be more flexible?

Very enjoyable few days in Laugharne. The cottage was peaceful, well equipped and very well located for eateries, pubs and access to tourist spots in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Discovering the bottle of Prosecco and Bara Brith on arrival was a nice surprise.

The house was in a perfect location to view the castle and estuary. It is beautifully furnished and was exceptionally clean. It's an upside down living arrangement with the lounge and kitchen upstairs to make the most of the view and bedrooms on the ground floor Everything was thought of and a welcome pack of shortbread, waffle biscuits and prosecco was so appreciated.

Nothing! The house had been shut up so there was a slight musty smell when we first arrived but as soon as we opened the windows it was fine and in no way detracted from the lovely surroundings.

Very remote place, perfect for a wilderness retreat, spacious and well equipped, we had a great time!

We had such a lovely stay at the Cors, the location was beautiful and very secluded. The house inside was stunning and absolutely spotless, and the kids found it all very exciting. Jac was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions I had, and we will definitely return in the future. I would highly recommend The Cors to anyone looking for somewhere to stay with a large group!

Utterly wow from the first month you pull on onto a rather steep driveway.Everything is of such good quality.Kitchen so well stocked to wonder shower & bathroom.The TV for none technical ladies was a challenge but eventually got there.The hot tub view we just didn't want to get out.Beds are so comfy & a goodnight sleep was had by us all.If you don't want to cook they definitely had a good range of place's to eat & drink.We will definitely be coming back just stunning

Took elderly parents for 5 day break. Location was spot on. To look out at laugharne castle and the estuary through the living room window was awesome and watching the mist rolling up the estuary in the early morning. House was so well equipped, everything you could need. Would definitely go back.

Very cosy and tidy house. Very quiet surroundings and a bit to drive for the more interesting to-dos (beaches, castles/houses/gardens) of the region.

I really enjoyed my time at The Boathouse. A very beautiful part of the Welsh countryside. The company and the owner were very accommodating with recommendations as to where to go and solutions. It very much served it’s purpose!

Really lovely house and wonderful, friendly hosts. Recently refurbished, and they did a great job. Spacious living room and kitchen downstairs with everything you could want. The two main bedrooms are very large and comfortable. Off street parking which is extremely useful in St Clears, and the hosts live next door so check-in and check-out was super easy. Highly recommended :)

Fabulous cottage with tasteful modern interior design maintaining a rustic charm. Located in the heart of Laugharne a stone's throw from eateries, local shop and Dylan's famous watering holes The Three Mariners and Brown's Hotel. A short stroll to the waterfront, views axross the estuary and the Boat House.
We loved the log burning stove, huge sofa and TV and comfortable beds! Being able to bring our little dog was a bonus as was the allocated free parking.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Perfect for our birthday celebration and the three generations who attended. We had everything we needed and more.

Very nice accomodation , it is in the country, but shops and restaurants at 5 minutes distance by car. Populair Tenby is about a 30 minutes drive. Hosts are very friendly, the house is set up with everything you need. Absolutely fantastic!

Cottage was beautiful and well-equipped. Lovely village location. Parking was not always possible right outside the cottage but within a couple of minutes walk (literature in the cottage shared suggested parking locations).

We didn’t use the garden but it could do with a bit of tidying up … will be lovely if/when that is done though.

Very nice house, freshly renovated in the stunning location. Everything is done with a great taste. Location is perfect to explore the South Welsh.

great open space. ideal for the grand kids to run around and play both indoors and outside in the gardens. it was great to have great grand parents, grand parents, parents, kids and the dog in one place. great family atmosphere and get together.

plates to big for microwave or microwave to small. 13.5 tog winter duvet's in summer were to hot and you were not able to change for lighter sheets.

What a wonderful holiday home, with views to die for from every bedroom and the living area it leaves you wanting for nothing. Beds were comfortable, mattresses were fine, and cushions of various thickness were available. The terrace with the views and hot tub was the star of the show. Hot tub even had Bluetooth speakers we could easily connect too. And there was a charcoal bbq (don’t forget the heat mat) as well.

Only a short up hill walk from Laugharn center. There’s a dog friendly cafe, simply Spa convenience store, and further along is Brown’s Hotel which again was dog friendly, extremely accommodating and had amazing food. We have already recommended and passed the details to a number of friends as this accommodation really is unique and well appointed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had an amazing stay as a family here. So close to the beach which is really easily accessible and has everything you could want in a beach including amazing rock pools.
Beautifully clean house, well stocked with lovely touches. Hot tub was amazing with beautiful views of the sea. Good location - only 25 mins from Tenby, Saundersfoot and folly farm.
Wet room really handy coming back from the beach. Great communication from the agency and lovely meeting the owner Mary.

Our stay at great Welsh was great, we enjoyed our stay including clean and tidy bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful garden, and amazing view. We also enjoyed hot tub. There were lots of things for kids and other things to play sports. Also host left us many things to eat and drink. Overall it was a perfect house and I recommend it if anyone wants to stay. We were given a warm welcome by the host.

The Old School house was beautifully quirky and in an excellent location with lots to explore locally. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the standard of cleanliness was very high. The property was exactly as described and well equipped with everything we needed and more. It was booked for my wife’s 50th birthday and what a venue!

One word - amazing. Is how I would describe this place. Peaceful and beautiful, this place is perfectly located to the west of the national park in the Black Mountains. Which is amazing for long walks great for the dog. The place itself is stunning, clean and well maintained.

This is a really special house with very happy memories in every room. The facilities are good and the unique garden is spectacular. The loveliest way of experiencing the beauty of Laugharne and the surrounding area. Perfect for hosting a reunion or a dinner party as we did to great success. Brilliant weekend - many thanks.

Perfect location and perfect property.

Rustic little cottage in a very rural location. Ideal for exploring West Wales. It had all the amenities described and we had a lovely few days with our two young children.

The Cors is a very special place. it is beautiful inside and out. We can only imagine just how fantastic the gardens would be in summer. The rooms are generous and social, while still allowing space to read and potter. The house was very clean, with lots of little extra touches to make our stay even better. walks along the estuary were stunning. The village has a couple of shops and pubs and on our last night we had a fantastic thai meal delivered from Poony who is aboutoto open a premises on the Grist. Just lovely!!

Very clean, bathrooms were spotless and well equipped with two showers, one downstairs and one upstairs in the family bathroom and with a bath. Beds were very comfortable, with clean linen and bath towels. Well equipped kitchen, with everything needed during our stay. Thank you for the bubbles and biscuits, they were very nice.
I would definitely try to book this place again when I return to the area.

Great spacious home with beautiful gardens which are not shown. Our grandchildren loved the gardens and the fairy garden which has been created by the owner. Although there was a large lounge we spent our time in the kitchen/diner enjoying breakfast together and then playing card games together after dinner in the evening.

The location was great for the historic sites and for our family reunion (32 of us) on Pendine Sands. We didn’t all stay in the bungalow, only 9 of us!

Had a great weekend at Jac’s place. Two families together ranging from age 7- 74. The house is lovely and spacious so plenty of room to cater for everyone. We had some rain, it didn’t matter though, whilst some were playing pool in the games room, others were playing board games in the dining room, which left the cinema room for playing on the Nintendo switch or watching tv. We made the most of the dry weather and had a couple walks into Laugharne. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The garden is huge and would be wonderful during summer I’m sure.

Beautifully restored home to luxury standard. Out of the places we visited Laugharne was the best. We loved the town, the estuary, the history and the people - all so friendly. Hope to be able to return sometime.

Excellent luxury property in a lovely little village. Property has been decorated to a very high quality and our only regret was we didn’t stay longer!

We had a lovely stay at the boathouse, it was clean and tidy. The pool was about a 1 minute walk from the cottage, it was lovely to have the pool to ourselves. The cottage is well away from the farm house, so it’s very private. Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely cottage! We enjoyed our holiday week in the Sea Gem in Tenby very very much. In this house we instantly felt like home. The place leaves no wishes unfulfilled. We enjoyed the garden having BBQ, practiced yoga and were delighted by the beautiful sea view. The location is so close to the town centre that everything is walkable and it‘s a very convenient starting point exploring Pembrokeshire. We‘d love to come back.

We loved everything of our stay. The house was very cosy and tastefully furnished and the bathrooms were superb. The kitchen was well equipped and nice were the wine in the fridge and the welsh shortbread as a surprise. Parking space was every day available in front of the door but best of all were the stunning views onto the castle and the river Taf. Pubs and shops were all within a very short walking distance. We really can recomand this cottage to everyone.

I recently stayed at Frogmore in Laughne and had a fantastic experience. The rental was located in a beautiful area , including a great view of the nearby castle. The property itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also a very last minute booking and the contact at Great welsh escapes was incredibly helpful at accommodating us.

One thing I particularly appreciated was the attention to detail in the décor and furnishings. It was clear that the owners had put a lot of thought into creating a warm and inviting space that felt like a home away from home.

Overall, I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway . The location, amenities, and attention to detail made it a truly memorable stay.

Lovely barn with everything you would need inside. Clean and tidy rooms. Great location for travelling around the area, with Tenby, Fishgaurd and Milford haven close by. We had a lovely Chinese at Pendine too.

The house was beautiful, so cosy and felt like home instantly.
The scenery was insane, we were always in the hot tub admiring views (now we understand why it is where it is located!)
They had everything you need in the house, we never ate out and was there a week.
Our kids and their friends who joined us loved the place.
It is a 20 minute drive to a local shop and further to a supermarket so would recommend a food delivery so you can kick back and enjoy when you are there.
We loved it and didn’t want to come home.

The Hidden Valley is beautiful - newly decorated, super comfy sofas and beds, kitchen fully equipped (they have thought of everything!), and the snug is a real bonus. It was fantastic to walk out of the bedroom door in the morning and enjoy the spectacular view. I'm a keen stargazer, and the dark skies were an absolute wonder. Got some great photos of the Milky Way and it was a real treat using my telescope. Location-wise, there are so many gorgeous beaches nearby (Tenby, Saundersfoot, Wisemans Bridge, Manorbier and Barafundle were our favourites), lots to do for the kids and for adults, and plenty of places to stock up on amenities just a short drive away. Loved every minute, thank you for a fantastic week!

Gwalia House was simply perfect. Beautifully decorated and with everything you need.
The house has a comforting feel with the most restful beds and rooms where the light floods in.
I’m the evenings, games and books to entertain.
Laugharne was quant, quirky, friendly, and full of history.
Make sure to visit the 3 Mariners, Poons, the Deli and Choices gift shop.
Couldn’t have been a better half term with family.

Brilliant communication from start to finish. Accomodation was excellent standard with lovely arrival gift and decked out for Xmas. Definitely recommend and can't wait to return.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and the towels and linen were very high quality. The bedroom is a lovely size and the open plan kitchen/lounge is just perfect for a few days’ R&R. It had everything you could need for a relaxing stay and we were very impressed. The rainfall shower was a wonderful addition.
The cottage is on a main road which was a little noisy at times but only because we’re not used to traffic. There is only a double bed as well which, again, we’re not used to but everything else was just perfect.

Although it's in MOD land, that didn't get in the way as we spent most of our daytime before 4pm, at a nearby beach at Pendine. Also we wanted somewhere out of the way, that would be quiet, without other holiday makers around. The owners have gone to a lot of effort with nice touches and quality of kitchen facilities was important to us as we prefer having evening meals made by ourselves. The walk in shower and bathtub is big. We enjoyed the fire pit outside at night and everything here was high quality.

It was very clean and had everything you could wish for. They really have thought of everything it was amazing. The hot tub was appreciated after a busy day exploring.

Nothing it was perfect

The Barn and Chaff House was very comfortable. We stayed with our son and young family so the spiral staircases were a bit tricky for the two year old but we were able to cope. The house was very well equipped and we had everything we needed. The garden was great for the kids and the dog - totally enclosed. There is not a lot to do in the village but The beaches at Freshwater West and Broad Haven were absolutely stunning. The pub at stackpole was fantastic. We had a great time and it's a good base to explore from.

Such a gorgeous home! Something really special and so beautiful. Brilliant location - a lovely beach nearby at Pendine Sands and a great base for day trips to Barafundle Bay, Tenby etc. We want to go back already!

If you are planning a holiday/trip to Pembrokshire then you must pick this apartment. The views were gorgeous, the beds and sofas were so comfortable, everywhere was spotless and the apartment was equipped with everything you could think of.. and more! Great location for both walking to local places and driving.

Absolutely stunning property with everything we needed for our week long stay . Ample room for 10 adults, great outdoor space and pool , good Wi-Fi, well equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean crisp white linen and towels, and perfect location for walking and exploring local countryside and beaches.

Chapel View is a wonderful cottage which had everything we needed for our week long stay. The place is beautifully decorated and the courtyard gives it that little added extra something. Laugharne is a lovely little village with the essential amenities and friendly locals.

This is a beautifully appointed & comfortable apartment, the hosts had thought of everything! The views across the bay are great and access to the cost path is just across the road. Parking space & key access easy to find/ use.

Not a criticism of the property, but worth noting that the walk back from the town/ beach involves coming up a steep hill

we had the most amazing, secluded and romantic time here. Our hosts were wonderful and helpful and we would love to come back in the future!

We had a great time at this amazing house for my 30th birthday! The house is huge and the swimming pool made our trip. It is so close to the village of Laugharne about a 5 minute walk if that, lots to do in the local area. We really appreciated the special touches the host provided, gifting us a balloon and Prosecco for the celebrations! Would not hesitate to come back again 😀

A lovely quaint cottage in Laugharne. Very clean with great heating which was needed. Had a large kitchen with dining room table and chairs and well appointed. Washer/dryer was great. Main bedroom had a small but lovely en-suite. We went there in winter but found really nice walks around the area and some nice cafes still open. Browns restaurant is def worth a visit. Interior abd food is excellent. The Dylan Coastal Resort was open and we enjoyed lovely meals there. Definitely take a trip to Tenby it’s a beautiful seaside town about a 30 min drive.

An amazing place and a fabulous apartment. It felt like home from home, apartment was clean and well stocked. Location is great and we were very lucky with the weather. We will be back to explore more. Thanks for sharing your apartment with us.

Maes Y Mêl was absolutely beautiful - the property was spotless, it was a very cosy feel and the decor was amazing! I stayed for 8 days and did not want to leave as it was so homely inside! The views from around the property are breath taking! Both hosts living next to the property were lovely and very accommodating! I was left with some homemade honey from on the farm and some eggs from the chickens! Both delicious 10/10 all round!

Wonderful, relaxing stay and the house had everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable with lovely quality linen. We enjoyed sitting outside in the beautiful garden amongst the amazing plants. Would love to visit again. Jac is an excellent host, proactive and really helpful with lots of information in the guide. We enjoyed our stay so much we added an extra night. I’m sure we will be back.

We had a lovely weekend in Saundersfoot, and found the property within walking distance of everything we wanted, though the hill was a bit tough but good for us!
The house was clean and comfortable with good facilities. The beds were especially comfortable, I slept so well!

We were extremely happy with our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

We fell in love with the Farmhouse and the views. On rainy days we stayed in the cozy home and relaxed. On sunny days we hiked and explored castle ruins. An amazing Welsh property

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Brofallen- the beautiful decor and gorgeous plants really made it feel like home from home only better! The view from the garden and conservatory is stunning- it was such a treat to start our day looking out to the distant sea, drinking the local, small batch roasted coffee left as part of the welcome pack. We had a couple of questions which were promptly and kindly responded to. We found the house very thoughtfully equipped and we cooked, played some of the games and used some DVDs and books as well. For most dogs the garden is very nicely enclosed and a great place to explore. For our rescued Serbian street dog, he did find a way out towards the neighbour's garden even though we were supervising him. We would definitely like to return- the house feels like a relaxing retreat.

The attention to detail is amazing ,from the power shower (downstairs) to the top quality bedding ,and there is EVERYTHING you need. Only here for 3 nights, but wished we had booked for longer.......

A fabulous house. Lovely views over countryside in the back garden. The location is excellent you can get everywhere in the area very easily. We were family of 6 and everything worked so well. The weather was on our side and the beaches and facilities were amazing. Coppett Hall our favourite beach. Would book again.

Spent 2 days there fabulous chalet containing everything you need with a fabulous view of the beach and sea ,self contained ,dogs allowed and hot tub and privacy and parking. I am not sure about wheelchair access you need to inquire but overall a great experience and only 15 miles from Tenby, loved it.

Location was great and place was comfortable. We had a problem on one night with the shower and by the morning it was fixed so really good service.
Fresher towels as they were quite worn. The main bed was a bit hard.

We had a great stay, the hosts provided snacks and drinks which were ready and waiting when we arrived.

Charlotte is an incredible host and made us feel so welcome. The barn is wonderful and a lovely peaceful place to relax. We couldn’t have asked for more, highly recommended! We’ll look forward to visiting again.

We had a lovely week here. It is a genuinely stunning cottage and everything inside is of the highest standard and quality - just as the description suggests. It is luxurious and 5 star. It is also very quiet and peaceful (the heart of the Welsh countryside!), though we were woken up by cows on a couple of mornings! Location is excellent for Pendine (beautiful long and sandy beach) and Laugharne (quaint town with castle), each a 5 minute drive away. However, the heart of Pembrokeshire (Tenby, Saundersfoot etc) is a good 25-35 min drive away and so a car is essential. We had a few issues with the TVs but I'm sure it will be sorted for future guests. Overall we would highly recommend this cottage.

Me and my family had stayed at Drefach from the 31st of August till the 4th of September. Instructions for checking in were straightforward. The property itself was very clean and the surroundings were beautiful. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates and cutlery as well as some essential cooking ingredients. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was brilliant. Overall, we all had a great time, including our dog who enjoyed his stay. We would recommend this property.

Never before have we booked and the wonderful pictures where exactly what you got- In fact reality was better! Wonderful in every way lovely owner welcomed us with a kind message. We had some poor weather but the apartment meant that didn’t matter as so cozy and comfy we cooked some great meals and all the fabulous facilities were a home from home. Will look to book again!

Nothing it’s just lovely

A beautiful and unique place to stay - check the photos on their website listing to see what I mean! Really comfortable and cosy - perfect for a family or couples wanting to take time out to explore the local area and chill in a relaxed setting. The Old School is equipped and furnished to a high standard; the beds and linen are amazingly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The kitchen has a great range cooker and great breakfast conservatory area - loved eating here in the mornings. Down the road in one direction is the town of Laugharne with it's interesting castle, great estuary views and range of restaurants and pubs serving a wide range of foods. In the other direction is the stunning town of Pendine with its sweeping beach and cliff top walks. Tenby is less than 40 mins away, making this property the perfect location.

My wife and I haven't been away since April and a short break is just what we needed. This property is amazing, right in the heart of Laugharne with parking outside. It was perfect for what we wanted and we only used the car once to go and visit Pendine beach. We ate in Arthur's which we really enjoyed, the Portreeves and had Sunday lunch in Browns Hotel. We can see why Dylan Thomas was so fond of this place. Thanks to our hosts

The house is situated high on a hill overlooking beautiful farmland and the beach. It was so incredibly peaceful to sit on the veranda. The beds were very comfortable and the place was decorated beautifully. The cupboards were labelled and stocked with everything you could need for cooking a family meal.

The en-suite shower pressure wasn’t the strongest, but still nice and warm. We didn’t have fire wood for the wood burner, but didn’t need to use it because the weather was lovely! No complaints though! Would book again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this lovely cottage in Laugharne. The cottage is spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable. We never tired of the view across to the castle. Laugharne is a peaceful village with a fascinating history. There is a selection of cafes and pubs and a convenience store close to the cottage. There are some lovely walks from the doorstep and lots to do a little further afield if you have a car to explore Tenby and beyond.

Perfect cottage in a very secluded location. Host was fantastic, recommended lots of places to go and was really helpful throughout our stay. The private pool was really great but it was the location that was really special so many great places to go. House is perfect for four plus a dog with everything you could possibly need. Was great having our own garden and having access to a big field too. Definitely need ten days next time, too much to see in seven!

All in top 1% of places stayed. Ensuite feature ALL bedrooms was a huge feature. Very spacious. Top notch dinner and cookware along with appliances. Washer and dryer was put to good use never having to fret about drying. For small village top notch restaurants right across street.
Felt right home because it was a home.

Great Welsh Escapes' "Gwalia" in Laugharne is an amazing house, steeped in history and beautifully decorated. An ideal base from where to explore the fabulous Welsh beaches and countryside, you will return from there recharged and refreshed. Great local restaurants literally on the doorstep mean you can enjoy fantastic food without having to worry about cooking for yourselves, although there is also a small supermarket 2 minute walk away. We have been twice. We will return again.

As for Great Welsh Escapes themselves, they are friendly, easy to contact and responsive. A great outfit that you can trust.

Beautiful house and gardens, with fabulous views. The house has everything you need and there is everything you could need in the kitchen to cook with and clean up. We even did a roast dinner! The hot tub was lovely and clean. House was spotless. Good quality beds, bedding, towels etc. The host was very responsive to questions and even accommodated an early check-in to allow for a Tesco delivery. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely setting, even though it mostly rained it was AMAZING!
The Cottage is incredible and I would love to go back in the Summer and make even more use of the outdoor space. The dogs absolutely loved it from arrival to departure. Spacious, clean, warm and delightful.

Peaceful and beautiful.

The enclosed garden was great. Our dogs really enjoyed running around. Plenty of parking spaces. Room for 3 cars. The verandas were fab. Plenty of room on both verandas. The property was large enough for plenty of people and very cosy. The 2 bathrooms were a bonus.

The only downside was the little bit of road going to the property was quite bumpy and the cold water tap wasn’t working in the main bathroom shower but could be easily rectified.

An Airbnb that was actually better than the photos! We absolutely loved our stay here and were gobsmacked by how beautiful the place was. We felt like absolute kings/queens!
The place was very neat and tidy considering how big it is to clean. Lots of ammenities and activities to keep you busy inside or outside and walking distance to plenty of nice places close by.
The hosts were also very generous and allowed us to check out slightly later even on short notice.
Our only regret is that we didn’t stay for longer!

What a lovely property! Three double bedrooms, all with en-suites. The house is high-spec with everything supplied that you could wish for. I heartily recommend if you are a Dylan Thomas fan or just want to check out the area. Response to issues was also super-quick.

Place is very big, nice, cozzy and clean. Just check-in is late and check-out is early. Worth the money.
