We chose this beautiful home for my 60th birthday celebration with all my family and it did not disappoint us. The property was spacious and so very well equipped throughout. There is plenty of car park space too. The 5 bedrooms with 3 of the 4 double bedded rooms having en-suite bathrooms with a family bathroom for the other double and twin attic bedroom. Unfortunately the 3 nights stay wasn’t long enough and wished stayed longer. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jac for the welcome pack of local produce together with my 60th balloon which was an added touch much appreciated. The bar and pool table were used each night. It was a great way to celebrate with my family thank you for everything

The old school house is a beautiful unusual & spacious holiday home. It had everything we needed & is in a quiet location that allowed us to explore the local towns, castles & beaches easily. Travelling with a small child we loved finding the many games tucked away in various cupboards & especially enjoyed the welcome bottle of wine & cake!!

This is a spacious two-bed cottage in an excellent location. Very well equipped and an excellent shower!! Quiet and peaceful.

What a fabulous place. A slice of paradise within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and beautiful walks. Sitting in the stunning garden is good for the soul.

We are a family of 5 and the house was definitely spacious enough for us. The views are breathtaking and the area is just so beautiful. We took time to enjoy the peace and the beautiful stars at night. The castle wonderful to see and the people were so welcoming and friendly. We would highly recommend.

Location was great..across the road there was a path to the beach...the nearby Saundersfoot was a 7 min walk and had lot's of eateries (although very busy just now) but beach had room for deckchairs etc...fab!
The apartment was gorgeous and decorated and furnished to a high standard..everything you required was available -plus more!
Owners had left fresh goodies and Prosecco a lovely touch, for our arrival...:)

A beautiful house In a lovely quiet village. We always go away for a summer family week with our grown up kids and their partners and this house was big enough for them to all have their space and a kitchen and outdoor space for us to come together for big family meals .we had poor weather and there upstairs starting area was good for film night The enclosed garden was good for our two dogs.

We LOVED York Lodge - Laugharne is beautiful and although I didn't know much about Dylan Thomas before I went, reading his 'Poem in October' written on his 30th birthday; whilst walking his 'birthday walk' (in October) and seeing what he was looking at and referring to was one of the most moving experiences. The emotion of it took me by surprise! The views are out of this world and a short walk from York Lodge. I am SO glad we came here and will most definitely come back again.

A truly beautiful place in a very peaceful spot. You do need a car to get about and there are lovely villages and beaches to visit. The house is perfect even if the weather is so bad, it is a perfect place to relax.

Lovely location for an extremely soothing break. Well equipped cottage and Robert was kind enough to get kids little games to keep busy when you are retiring after having a day out whether to botanical garden trip or folley farm.
Near by nisa local, fish and chips were handy to pop for a quick snack.
House was very clean and plenty of room for a family of six. We shall visit again and recommend this place.

Wildhaven was the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. The views were absolutely stunning and the cottage was large and beautifully furnished. The beds were really comfortable and each bathroom luxurious. The garden was large, fenced, but sadly not secure enough for a determined Cocker Spaniel. It's isolation meant the only sounds were the mountain sheep and the early morning wake up call from the local crows. Our host, Jess was regularly in contact which was so helpful. Our week at Wildhaven has had such a positive impact on us that we will be back next year.

We booked as it was our friends 50th in Laugharne. Was a perfect place to stay, the shower was particularly great as our water pressure at home is terrible but this is powerful and perfect temperature which felt like a real treat lol. Lovely homely touches like a bottle of wine, milk for tea, and some snacks why we weren’t expecting but were very welcome. It’s ideal for a weekend getaway and had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay here, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind for a few days. The cottage was delightful and bigger than we expected.

A really lovely property- I stayed with five friends for a long weekend and we loved the space, the kitchen was so well appointed and the bathrooms all lovely. Comfy beds, warm and cosy, and it was easy to find parking which was great with three cars. I’d easily recommend it to others- Laugharne isn’t the most bustling location (loved the Three Mariners pub!) but really easy to get out to Tenby and other beautiful areas around. I only wish we’d had slightly later check out!

We have visited Laugharne several times over the last eight years, and this years stay was definitely enhanced by our stay at Gwalia House. A stunning property with a boutique hotel feel. Couldn’t fault anything. My family & I just loved it! Already looking forward to a repeat in 2021!

Absolutely fabulous apartment, clean and tidy, very high spec. Everything you need at hand. We were blessed with hot weather. Short walk from Pendine beach. Fabulous views of coastline.

Saundersfoot and surrounding areas are beautiful. This flat is the perfect base for making the most of it with its sea view and everything you need for a comfortable stay. We will gladly return to this location.

Footprints apartment had everything you needed for a perfect stay, and then some. Great location, comfortable and exceptionally well equipped and spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed.

This lovely house nestled in the middle of the beautiful town of Laugharne is absolutely exceptional in every way. Absolute perfection, the property is luxurious with beautiful furniture and artworks. Located a few yards away from Browns Hotel with parking too. We had the best time and will be booking another trip next year. Cannot recommend highly enough. Five star!!!

We had a bad experience staying at another Airbnb so we panicked and found this to be available (luckily) at short notice for the last 3 nights of our house hunting holiday. The cottage had only just been listed and it turns out we were the first guests ever. Everything brand spanking new. Amazing shower. DISHWASHER! TBH I’d give anywhere 8/10 just for this. Super helpful hosts. Lovely village. Sooo friendly. Everyone we met. Big shoutout for the deli next door - outstanding food and a treasure trove of scoffable luxuries. Oh yes, and great wine

Excellent from start to finish, the place was exactly as listed and really modern which was great!! My one critique would have been to have dog bowls as we actually forgot ours but not a major issue and honestly we had the best time all weekend!! Decor was lovely and really modern which I like as it felt super fresh and clean inside. Really clear instructions and everything around check in went smoothly, we were a little late checking out but again really lovely host said it’s fine and just waited 10 mins for us to leave. Excellent service and also lovely garden even though the weather wasn’t great having the private space for the dogs was really needed and welcomed. Love it all thank you so much

Lovely property, suited our stay of four adults perfectly.
One of our guests is around 6 3" and found himself hitting the light fittings as they are all quite low hanging!!
It was very cosy for an autumn break.

Superb accommodation and location. Beautifully decorated and furnished, you pay a little more for this type of accommodation, but it really is worth it. My children, normally very fussy, adored their bedrooms and the whole house, which is full of character. Ideally placed within the village, and whilst there is no parking with the property, we never had a problem finding a parking space within a few footsteps, even in the school holidays. Pubs and restaurants are within a stone throw, and all are excellent. It's a very relaxing village, with beautiful walks, and superb beaches within easy travelling distance. We love the area, and will be back.

Great Welsh Escapes' "Gwalia" in Laugharne is an amazing house, steeped in history and beautifully decorated. An ideal base from where to explore the fabulous Welsh beaches and countryside, you will return from there recharged and refreshed. Great local restaurants literally on the doorstep mean you can enjoy fantastic food without having to worry about cooking for yourselves, although there is also a small supermarket 2 minute walk away. We have been twice. We will return again.

As for Great Welsh Escapes themselves, they are friendly, easy to contact and responsive. A great outfit that you can trust.

This place is way beyond beautiful with the ornate carvings and authentic touches, the photos do not show it’s grandeur!
It really is a quiet little haven, a short drive from a beautiful coastline.
It was spotlessly clean and perfect and next to a working farm which brought back wonderful childhood memories...
The hospitality was amazing, their attention to detail and consideration with everything to giving us a run through of the little things like where switches were etc was a welcomed plus!
I would highly recommend this place it is just stunning and the hosts are lovely!

What an amazing time spent at the Cors with our 4 children. A beautifully decorated quirky home on the most fantastic grounds. Hours spent playing hide and seek in the garden and searching for fairies with our daughters.We feel so lucky to have made the best memories ever there with our family,that we will treasure. The cottage is beautifully decorated and the towels and linen were very high quality. The bedroom is a lovely size and the open plan kitchen/lounge is just perfect for a few days’ R&R. It had everything you could need for a relaxing stay and we were very impressed. The rainfall shower was a wonderful addition.
The cottage is on a main road which was a little noisy at times but only because we’re not used to traffic. There is only a double bed as well which, again, we’re not used to but everything else was just perfect.

Me, my wife and my little girl thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Neil and Mel’s place. They were lovely hosts and offered some great local recommendations. Their place was fabulous and it was clear to see how much time and effort has gone in to making the cottage a wonderful place to stay. It was a great base for us to explore the local area.

What a beautiful place. We stayed at ‘The Old School’ in Laugharne. It has everything you’d want and more. It is a place where a car is needed as you cannot really walk anywhere directly from here as there are no paths or public rights of way but without doubt if you need a base to explore Carmarthenshire or Pembrokeshire then this is it. Great Welsh escapes were also very good to deal with and we would recommend them to others.

Such a beautiful, peaceful and perfect place. The photos on here don't and probably can't do the place justice. I planned to checkout early but i couldn't bring myself to leave!

We stayed for 3 nights here as an extended family. Welcome pack on arrival - House had everything we needed as a large group (10). Games facilities were amazing - all in a self contained area and hot tub put to good use overlooking beautiful Welsh scenery.

We have visited the area for many years and this was a fabulous apartment from which to explore, easy walking distance to town centre and to access the coastal paths. Place was immaculate with plenty of additional little touches in terms of advice and amenities that enhanced the experience. Apartment is easy to find, light and very spacious with everything you need and more.

The cottage was a lovely, relaxing getaway. The little spa and sauna were great and having exclusive access was fantastic. The woodburner in the lounge was lovely to fire up each evening, especially during the rain & snow, although the cottage was warm enough with just the central heating. Amazingly quiet and beautiful location. It was great to see the geese and chickens wandering around just outside the gate but even more entertaining to have Charlie the peacock strutting along the top of the wall outside the cottage & just outside the cottage door. Great Welsh Escapes were fantastic & sent numerous communications with ideas for places to go & things to do locally, as well as giving information on how to get into the property, contacts should we need assistance and information about check-out.

My wife and I haven't been away since April and a short break is just what we needed. This property is amazing, right in the heart of Laugharne with parking outside. It was perfect for what we wanted and we only used the car once to go and visit Pendine beach. We ate in Arthur's which we really enjoyed, the Portreeves and had Sunday lunch in Browns Hotel. We can see why Dylan Thomas was so fond of this place. Thanks to our hosts

Amazing place for a quiet weekend away. Ponds in gardens so you need to keep an eye on young children. We had a great time, plenty to see and do in and around the area.

The apartment was amazing. Tastefully decorated and furnished. Everything you needed was provided down to an array of herbs and spices to produce any meal if you wanted. The bed was very comfortable bathroom large and spotlessly clean throughout.

Sunnybanks is in a wonderful location with stunning views across the Welsh countryside. Great base to visit beaches, walks and tourist attractions.
It's very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, like home from home! Sunnybanks was spotlessly clean, the rooms are very well decorated light and airy.
We had wonderful evenings playing games on the lawn and enjoying our meals al fresco.
We would definitely recommend, we shall be returning for another great break.

We enjoyed a lovely week at this beautiful cottage! Plenty of space for kids and dog both inside and outside. It was just a short drive to Freshwater West beach for awesome sand, surfing and rock pools. Would definitely recommend for a family holiday.

A beautiful location - very rural and out of the hustle and bustle of city life. There are no shops / pubs or restaurants near the property so go prepared. The garden is a lovely place to relax and the cottage is a special experience- cosy and adequate. Parking is a problem though, the neighbours occupy the parking space which is meant for this property so we had to squeeze into the left over spot which left our car exposed and sticking out into the road, and I had to park so close to the hedgerow that I had to exit the vehicle from the passage door. This is a real downer for this property as otherwise it was a lovely stay.

Would happily stay here again. Hugh and Hazel were fantastic hosts and the house has everything you can imagine - every little thing is thought of - the house is easily accessible and is so peaceful - the hot tub in the garden is an amazing addition and completed the stay for us. We loved it and will be back.

Wow, what a wonderful view, we loved everything about this place. It’s location is so peaceful yet walkable into the village and easy to get to the Castle. We liked the modern, clean and clutter free style, with a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. We only had a short 3 night break but would have loved to stay longer, thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Thank you for the gift of Welsh shortbread, a nice touch, but do note, there was only one dishwasher tab, one tea towel, no kitchen towel or foil and no basics like salt and pepper, so make sure you bring your own!

Beautifully restored home to luxury standard. Out of the places we visited Laugharne was the best. We loved the town, the estuary, the history and the people - all so friendly. Hope to be able to return sometime.

I've stayed in many places on the UK and this was by far the best weekend I've ever had. There's far too much to list that was good, it literally had everything and so much more!
There's absolutely nothing I could say that I didn't like about this accommodation.

Fabulous comfortable clean cottage in a beautiful village. Lovely hot powerful shower much appreciated after hard days walking. Delicious eating places nearby. Will be back to Laugharne to do more walking.

We have had a brilliant stay at Lloret. The property was spotlessly clean with everything we needed and more. The location was ideal for exploring on foot and further afield, and every morning I was wowed anew by the view. I would highly recommend Great Welsh Escapes. The property was stunning, beautiful views from every window. Beds were extremely comfortable. Location was great, with shops, restaurants/bars very close to the property. We drove out to Tenby which was only 30mins away, but the beach at pendine sands was only a 10min drive Laugharne castle was great and you can see it from the property, plenty of walking routes in the area. Lastly the hot tub was a great touch! 100% recommend.

Perfect cottage in a very secluded location. Host was fantastic, recommended lots of places to go and was really helpful throughout our stay. The private pool was really great but it was the location that was really special so many great places to go. House is perfect for four plus a dog with everything you could possibly need. Was great having our own garden and having access to a big field too. Definitely need ten days next time, too much to see in seven!

We just had a wonderful week staying at Wildhaven. A perfect way to unplug by soaking up the peaceful solitude of the beautiful Brecon Beacons. The property has been renovated with great care and attention. A luxurious and modern home from home with that essential vintage farmhouse feel retained throughout. We’ll be back for sure.

A privilege to stay in this arts & crafts period house full of eclectic art and decor and to enjoy the imaginatively sculptured garden full of secret areas and massive plants. It felt like we had paid an entrance fee to look around and had to remind ourselves that we were actually staying here!

What an amazing house - huge, comfortable and well-equipped. The swimming pool was an extra bonus. A really special place in a fantastic location. We enjoyed our stay very much.

It is on quite a busy road and the bedrooms at the front do get traffic noise so take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. In the loft, the chairs are quite old and rickety and the water was not connected to the tap in the kitchen. But these were minor irritations in an otherwise wonderful stay.

Michelle could not have been more helpful or welcoming. When there was a power cut one morning and we could not prepare breakfast she organised for us all to have breakfast from a local cafe. There were lovely welsh treats for us when we arrived so we had local goodies on hand. Thanks very much to Michelle for all her hospitality.

Ideal place to spend a week with the family. The Cors has very impressive gardens and a peaceful location with uniquely styled rooms. An excellent location for walks , pubs, castle & Dylan's Boathouse.

The relaxing and tranquil setting is fabulous. Waking up to the views is amazing and we are grateful. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home from home, fluffy towels, fresh linen on the bed, sumptuous hot hub, fully stocked kitchen and utility room. The cottage layout has been carefully considered for the guest and nothing is lacking, we had everything and some. Hazel and Hugh are lovely, very attentive and considerate. Just a text away for any advice or questions. Thanks again for checking in on us, it’s been a truly relaxing break, we will be back in the very near future.

Very pleasant apartment with two spacious well furnished rooms. Cosy with good heating should it be needed. Laugharne is a lovely place with plenty of good walks and local facilities for food and drink.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Awel Taf. The house was spotlessly clean, had all amenities for a week’s stay. This place is very well placed with a 15 min drive from Carmarthen and also not far from beaches in South Wales. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.

Easy access and loved the complementary drink and Loved how clean the property was and the sofa was very comfortable and the view was so amazing, also loved using the hot tub it made it such a relaxing stay

The Cors is really a very special place in the fabulous town of Laugharne. Close to two very good pubs, an excellent Thai restaurant and a good Deli. What makes the holiday is the house with its fabulous grounds. Clean ,well equipped, very generous welcome pack and responsive host. Highly recommended.

Great Welsh escapes was wonderful!! It was so nice to get out of the city and have a break. The location was beautiful as was the cottage.

The team were always very speedy with their responses to any questions I had and they made sure I got to the location okay and that I had everything I needed.

The property was fantastic. Everything that was stated on the site was accurate. The house is in a lovely location (up a hill), a short walk in to town, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The hosts had left us a welcome pack on arrival which was a lovely touch. We had taken two cars and parking was not a problem. The house was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for the five adults in our party. I would recommend this property and would definitely stay here again if we went back to Tenby.

We had a great stay at the house which has real character, would recommend the house and the village, lots of great social areas and the rooms were all fabulous with comfy beds. Lots of thought has gone into the decoration and the bits around the house and pictures etc. We had a fabulous week (6 adults, 3 early teens). Great that we could take the dogs and there was a gate to keep them in there allowed area.

Stayed for a few days at The Cors. An amazing Arts and Crafts house in Laugharne. A beautiful large garden, lost in time, an oasis of tranquility, yet just minutes from the village and Dylan Thomas' Boathouse. The bedrooms are individually designed, all with big flat screen TVs and modern bathrooms. I highly recommend staying in this extremely romantic, charming and comfortable house.

An amazing find - the perfect one bed apartment with lots of space for 1x person or for a couple. Sandersfoot is a beautiful village, smaller than Tenby and cuter with it. The flat is a 7 min walk down to the village and beach which when busy one welcomes the fact the apartment has its own parking. The accommodation felt almost brand new, wanting for nothing - supplying everything you could want. The bed was ever so comfortable with lovely sheets, the bathroom had great water pressure and brilliantly clean, the kitchen had everything you needed and all with a distant see view. It's also ideally located next to the Coastal Path, 13 mins from a tiny isolated beach. Can't recommend more. Thanks!

We visited The Cors as 2 families and were thrilled with the house. It had everything we needed for a wonderful week away, a home away from home, but better. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, great little bar and pool table and lovely cosy cinema room. We had a minor issue which Jac helped replace quickly and without fuss.
Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, lovely to sit outside with a glass of wine in the sun enjoying the garden. Great location within easy reach of the lovely Pendine Sands, a local dog friendly beach with lots of amenities, and walking distance of some great pubs and restaurants.
All in all a great break and would recommend.

A very comfortable and well-equipped place to stay and so convenient for visiting many beautiful places in the area. The views from the veranda are stunning - a fabulous place to sit and relax and to enjoy a G&T in the evening! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend it. We definitely hope to return in the not too distant future and were very sorry when our week's holiday ended.

What a fantastic trip. A lovely large bungalow with everything you could ever need for a relaxing family vacation. Well equipped kitchen with a large dining table for board games and meals. Lovely living room with blu ray and comfy sofas and chairs. Lots of space for 2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 children and a dog with more to sapre. Lovely personal touches by the hosts Jac and Michelle, the Welsh cakes and wine were a lovely touch as was the help with directions. Highly recommended.

Beautiful house and gardens, with fabulous views. The house has everything you need and there is everything you could need in the kitchen to cook with and clean up. We even did a roast dinner! The hot tub was lovely and clean. House was spotless. Good quality beds, bedding, towels etc. The host was very responsive to questions and even accommodated an early check-in to allow for a Tesco delivery. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely accommodation! We really enjoyed our stay. Host was very accommodating and helpful. Only 10 minutes away from pendine beach and lots of pubs around. Struggled to find places for breakfast / dinner Sunday and Monday so I’d suggest bringing plenty of food for backup if you can’t get in anywhere or book tables way in advance.

Stayed at the Lloret property for 4 days over Christmas. Exceeded our expectations. GWE communicated well throughout and were keen to do all they could to ensure that we had a good experience. All the facilities at the property were in excellent condition. Beds very comfortable. Lovely views. Couldn’t fault it. Highly recommended.

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Sunny Bank, an idyllic and private with every single thing you can imagine. We were provided with a full tea service and dinner set, basics for breakfast, bathrobes and towels for the stay as well as towels for the hot tub. I honestly think every possible amenity was thought about and provided. The cottage is on a family farm and you have complete privacy, esp in the hot tub which made the stay perfect for us.
The owners live down the road and when we told them the engine light had come on, on the car, and we needed to find a garage they came over and sorted the car, we needed oil but they also added screen wash and coolent and gave further advice. They went above and beyond.
You also don't have to worry about the hot tub, they come and treat it for you daily.

We had a lovely time at the cottage. It’s situated well to explore and go for rambles locally or you can jump in the car and head to the coast or the beacons in your car. The cottage itself is well kitted out and very comfortable for our family of 3 and our dog.

We stayed for 3 nights here as an extended family. Welcome pack on arrival - House had everything we needed as a large group (10). Games facilities were amazing - all in a self contained area and hot tub put to good use overlooking beautiful Welsh scenery.

The Barn and Chaffhouse was perfect for our getaway Christmas break- so quiet and peaceful, the open-plan living area was beautiful and the facilities were outstanding. We loved the remote location and walking on the nearby beaches. The house was warm and cosy- a really relaxing break.

All in top 1% of places stayed. Ensuite feature ALL bedrooms was a huge feature. Very spacious. Top notch dinner and cookware along with appliances. Washer and dryer was put to good use never having to fret about drying. For small village top notch restaurants right across street.

The cottage was completely immaculate, making us feel like we were the first guests ever to stay there. Walking through into the kitchen, we were greeted with delicious Welsh goodies in a thoughtful and much appreciated welcome-hamper, (including milk and juice in the fridge for the all-important post-travelling cuppa), and this pretty much set the tone for the perfect break-away!
From the super-comfy beds, which induced us all to lie-in of a morning, to the fabulous hot-tub with breathtaking views, which allowed us quality re-connecting time as a family with two teenagers, Sunnybank Cottage was perfect for a relaxing break as a family. We genuinely couldn't have asked for me - thank you for sharing your beautiful corner of the world with us.

Lovely place, well decorated and styled. Had everything we needed. Great location and easy to get to. We just wanted a little break and to get a way for a few days. This little place is perfect for a chilled couple’s getaway and is very well placed for walking weekends and visiting the home of Dylan Thomas.

This was by far the best accommodation we have ever stayed at, clean throughout too the highest of standards, perfect location, very peaceful and the hot tub an added bonus, Hazel the host was lovely nothing was too much trouble, this bungalow deserves 10 stars, two very happy guests ☺
