We had a wonderful week in Laugharne. The house was spacious and light but still cosy. The views from the lounge were amazing, the castle was so beautiful and the changing tides meant the view of the estuary was always changing, absolutely breathtaking! We were able to easily walk to a variety of excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs, as well as all local Dylan Thomas attractions which we loved. A visit to the speed museum in Pendine was really enjoyable and only just over 10 mins by car. We would love to return to Laugharne again, it's a fabulous place. And the house was a very welcoming home from home which we were sorry to leave at the end of our holiday.

A lovely, spacious property which had everything we needed and more. Fantastic location close to castle, shops and pubs. Great communication throughout. Would highly recommend.

Chapel View is perfect for staying in Laugharne. Great to able to just walk to Dylan Thomas' Boathouse and Writing shed, the castle and local shops, Post Office and places to eat and walks up Sir John's Hill.<br/>The cottage is lovely, nicely decorated, clean and well equipped.<br/>We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Never before have we booked and the wonderful pictures where exactly what you got- In fact reality was better! Wonderful in every way lovely owner welcomed us with a kind message. We had some poor weather but the apartment meant that didn’t matter as so cozy and comfy we cooked some great meals and all the fabulous facilities were a home from home. Will look to book again!

Nothing it’s just lovely

Brilliant place to stay for a relaxing break away. Secluded enough to feel away from people but close enough drives to villages/towns.
The house was immaculate and much bigger than i anticipated from the photos. Comfy beds and nice to have a lounge separate from the kitchen.
We took our 9 month old with us and they had everything we needed such as travel cot, high chair, bath seat, all the way to spoons/bowls/swim nappies and more.
The hot tub was an added bonus, was lovely to sit in at night and relax listening to..well the silence!
Could not fault this place at all and will definitely return

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was lovely and it is clear that it is a very well looked after home. It’s easy to find and we had such a lovely time and were very comfortable. We appreciated everything and the host is a very nice lady who was a joy to speak to.

Such a big property for a large family or group to stay. Also has an annex which was great for my mum and a bungalow so suitable for all ages. Had a lovely large and pretty garden, so peaceful. Based in a beautiful area to explore the stunning coastline and pretty countryside. Short walk into the town itself which was handy too. Very impressed with the two ovens and air fryers. We all had a wonderful time, 8 adults and 2 dogs, it was perfect thank you.

Lovely accommodation. Everything we needed in quiet, beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed sitting outside on comfortable furniture with the fire pit on cool evenings. Our host was friendly and helpful.
An amazing experience!

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Awel Taf. The house was spotlessly clean, had all amenities for a week’s stay. This place is very well placed with a 15 min drive from Carmarthen and also not far from beaches in South Wales. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place itself was beautiful, it was so family friendly which was perfect for us and our little one, the host went above and beyond in ensuring there was everything you could require.

We have had a brilliant stay at Lloret. The property was spotlessly clean with everything we needed and more. The location was ideal for exploring on foot and further afield, and every morning I was wowed anew by the view. I would highly recommend Great Welsh Escapes. They go the extra mile with a personal touch, the best holiday company I have dealt with in recent times.

Gorgeous location with uninterrupted views! <br/>Weather was beautiful luckily and we caught the most beautiful sunset just at our doorstep. <br/>The property was clean and had all the necessary amenities. Lisa was very helpful throughout and responded very quickly. The place is private and very peaceful. Very ideal for a few days away 🤍

The house was beautifully furnished and well appointed. We had everything that we required and the town has a lovely range of restaurants and pubs for us to enjoy. High on the list of places to revisit.

We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed more! We were 10 people and found the home accommodated us perfectly . The large kitchen dining and living area was perfect for playing pool, watching tv , and cooking. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! The area is a small town very peaceful and very friendly people . There was a convenience store a 5min walk away and a stunning view nearby as well as an adorable gift shop to buy souvenirs. The home worked very well as a base to go on day excursions to areas like tenby and pembrokeshire. Overall we loved our stay and had a great time , cant wait to come back !

An absolute gem of a place. Spotlessly clean, immaculately presented and everything we needed for our 6 night stay. The location was perfect for touring South West Wales. The hosts were fabulous, offering us tips for places to visit and leaving us beautiful Welsh Cakes to welcome us. A fabulous restaurant 5 minutes walk away, offering delicious food. We couldn't have wished for anything more. Beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you 😊

Great place for a weekend getaway, plenty of space and really nice having a secure garden for the dog. Well equipped and appreciated having a lot of firewood on hand!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Tŷ’r Ardd. The accommodation was spotless and very well equipped for all our needs. Graham and Mona were fantastic and kindly provided local recommendations and made sure we were well looked after. The patio also provided a well enclosed yet spacious area for our dog. We have just arrived home after a fabulous stay at Round Park. The house was so much more spacious than expected and was a fabulous base for exploring the beautiful clean beaches and pretty towns and villages. There was a lovely welcome gift of wine , tea & stoopwaffles. Everything was catered for with cooking equipment including brand new airfryers. The beds were clean & comfortable.Would definitely recommend & use again in the future.

Great space in a good location - especially if walking the coast path. Some care is required negotiating the upstairs bedroom spaces as head height is very limited.

Amazing home from home with all you need and more, just with better views. This cottage has so much space and everything you could need. Great central location with little bits of magic like Llansteffan beach 10mins away. Also try the Fox n Hounds for Sunday lunch platter - yummy.

A beautiful barn in a very tranquil setting. We had storm Floris and could hardly hear it. We had everything we needed. Even the patchy internet signal was workable and meant less screen time which was a positive! So many lovely places to visit from sandy and pebble beaches, castles and beautiful gardens or shopping all within an hour. Great pub and café food in Laugharne and a warm welcome from all. Would highly recommend it. It really was relaxing and just beautiful.

We absolutely loved the views over Laugharne...spectacular!!! We would never tire of that!! Also, a short walk down the hill from the bungalow and you are in the middle of Laugharne! Perfect 👌 There are a number of pubs and cafes to pick from, all very good and very friendly!! Dylan Thomas' house all 3 to visit and the writing she'd! Laugharne Castle!!

We had a wonderful stay at Coedllys Cottage from 25th–27th August 2025. The cottage is delightfully, spotlessly clean, and set in a stunning countryside location with fantastic walking straight from the door. The swim spa and sauna were a real highlight and perfect for relaxing tired muscles after long walks. It’s also ideally located for easy access to beautiful scenic beaches and towns. The cottage is very well equipped and provided everything we needed for a peaceful, comfortable. The host was extremely helpful and welcoming, making the whole stay effortless. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

It was much better than expected, host Hazel was helpful, friendly and provides more extras than we have ever seen. It exceeded our expectations and if we go to Wales in future would always look to stay here again .

we enjoyed a fantastic stay in Llanstefan. beautiful location, a couple of great pubs and a lovely little pizza parlour. the house was clean, spacious and well stocked, just what we needed. highly recommended!

A beautiful house in peaceful surroundings. Gwalia house has been lovingly and thoughtfully decorated. The welcome gifts included home grown tomatoes and a delicious wine as well as some beautiful cut flowers. Also appreciated the very comfy beds and how clean the property was kept. Laugharne is a quaint and peaceful town with the castle, pubs and restaurants right on your doorstep. We recommend the local Dylan Thomas Boathouse walk. There’s lovely views of the Gower and River Taf. Also not too far away - a 30-45 minute drive - if you want to visit different parts of the South Pembrokeshire coast.

Wow what a place !! Totally remote ! Beautiful scenery , a secure garden for the dog (sheep next door) I walked the perimeter to make sure dog was secure which he was . You can only find the property by what3words. I was very impressed that Asda delivered the shopping which meant no supermarket visits, which are miles away. The cottage is warm and cosy ,it felt very homely , wonderful views from the living room , watching an ever changing weather across the hills all in front of a log fire. Would 100% visit again and recommend it if you like to get away from the rat race. The red kites were entertaining and regularly flew close to the cottage. The ponies are gorgeous. The sheep numerous !!!! There are lots of walks without using the car.

Everything. No issues with the property whatsoever, it’s just so nice and the hosts were so friendly and helpful as well. The welcome pack was very nice and much appreciated. It’s in such a quiet location, you could hear a pin drop when sitting outside.

Our second time at a Great Welsh Escape’s property. Had a lovely time in a beautiful recently refurbished barn.

Our dog also loved the enclosed garden that wrapped around the property.

There a is a beautiful beach 5min down the road, got in a few good walks even in February. Can imaging in summer it would be a daily trip.

Looking forward to future breaks.

Saundersfoot and surrounding areas are beautiful. This flat is the perfect base for making the most of it with its sea view and everything you need for a comfortable stay. We will gladly return to this location.

We absolutely loved our 6 day stay here. Felt right at home immediately. The lake is absolutely beautiful, and all the wildlife that visits is so wonderful. There's birds of all kinds. We saw Canada geese swoop in everyday and the Greylag geese had their little chicks swimming with them from the island. There's bats that come zipping right past your face if you stand outside at dusk. It's so peaceful and picturesque. There's so much to do, we didn't even get around to visiting Carmarthen! We would love to come back in the future

We loved our stay! It was in a great location for exploring the local area. There is so much to see and do. We had a great break!
We had plenty of space and the accomodation has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The shower and bath were brilliant and the beds were very comfy!
Loved waking up to the horses in the field in the morning.
We appreciated the milk in the fridge!
We also had a delicious meal at the hotel right next door which was super convenient with 3 children!

We recently stayed at Footprints in Saundersfoot. The apartment is fantastic and exactly what we were looking for as a base and a place to relax.

Saundersfoot is a lovely part of the Pembrokeshire coast and closer to Tenby and other local attractions than we thought.

The beach is beautiful, large and so peaceful out of season. It's very easy to get a coffee to accompany your walk and there were many locals to converse with.

There's a good chance we'll be back!

Such a comfortable and welcoming home in the most beautiful location. We felt right at home instantly and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local area. It is relatively remote, so you do need a car and some things take a little while to get to, but it's worth it for the amazing peace and beauty of the location. Also the cottage is so well equipped and we got a Morrisons delivery the day we arrived, so not that remote! We can't wait to come back.

A really comfortable and well equipped property and as is stated in the details. In a good location in the centre of Laugharne which has a good range of eating places and small stores. The food from Poons was fabulous.

Absolutely blown away by our stay, the accommodation is beyond beautiful and has that wow factor as soon as you walk in. The house is beautifully done and so well equipped! My little family had the most enjoyable stay. Location was amazing, walking distance to the town, bars, restaurants, lovely walks and the beach. View from the apartment is what we will most remember, watching the waves and the people coming and going. Apartment was comfortable and clean, plenty of space for a family of 3. Photos don’t really do it justice. Would definitely return.

I absolutely loved staying at Beudy. The beautifully converted barn looks even better in real life than the pictures. The kitchen is so well equipped, hot tub super reliable and comfortable, outdoor space is stunning and so well thought out, decor throughout space is so well curated, parking easy, location fabulous and hosts friendly and also allow for plenty of privacy. I fully recommend staying here :)

Former school house charm. Perfectly located close to all amenities and attractions. Accommodation comfortable, all kitchen equipment you would expect. Garden is dog safe, useful having gate at front to stop dogs running out into the street. <br/>Locals are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend restaurant/takeaway called Poon (directly opposite). Dylan Thomas Boathouse and Laugharne Castle visits are a must.

They had a lovely time watching the chickens in the eve
The owners were very friendly
A lovely welcome pack awaited them of eggs from the chickens and home made honey also from the bees they kept

we had a brilliant stay the bungalow was perfect very relaxing g watching the tractors go by visiting the beach and relaxing g in the hot tub we cant thank the host enough for the welcome hamper and makimg our stay less stressful with a 7 month old with all the stuff we need and the games room 4 our little boy to play in

The cottage was in a great location, close to the shops, restaurants, castle and Dylan's boat house. The facilities in the cottage were good. It was a nice touch to have a welcome pack on arrival.

My partner is tall and we did struggle with the double bed, would have liked a king-size, however we were fully aware of this when booking.

Ideal place for those looking to get away from it all in a quiet, secluded spot but not too far from the local town/shops and a great base to drive to surrounding beauty spots and places of interest. Also great for dogs, with a large, private area for them to run around. We really enjoyed our time here and would return in future.

Amazing place with fabulous views. Host has thought of every scenario for those that stay there. Unable to fault the place. It’s a peaceful stunning area. Host friendly and responsive. Hot tub time was magical and great as the sunsets. The patch of fake grass proved a hit too.
Kitchen was spacious and plenty of cupboard space.
Stayed over Christmas and the small Xmas decoration was a nice touch.
Would certainly recommend if you’re after an escape from the hustle of normal life. Would love to go back again in the future. 5 star place all over

Het ligt direct naast het huis van de eigenaren Lloyd en Buddug en hun superleuke hondjes. Het zijn hele fijne en attente mensen die je graag helpen bij vragen en die ook nog eens heerlijke honing maken. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien; aanrader!

An absolutely stunning farm house in a magical setting. Myself and my partner have stressful jobs, and live near Manchester, so to come here for absolute peace and tranquility was well needed, and couldn’t be faulted. <br/>The farm house is kept to a high standard, with everything you needed within. Check in was easy, and we were contacted to ensure we knew who to turn to should we need any help. <br/>The location is right on the Black Mountain, and weather conditions naturally can make the property a bit difficult to navigate to and from, however the road isn’t too bad, but we were glad for our 4x4!<br/>The views and remoteness you get for this however are well worth it! <br/>We will 100% be staying here again, and look forward to our next trip here. We already miss it terribly x

Honestly one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. Lovely property, we felt so at home. Had the best 3 nights sleep in years. Nice private location, plenty of walks to keep busy for a few days. The host was also great and very responsive. Only minor point would be that I didn’t find the WiFi usable, but I didn’t go for that, and 4G was good (I’m on O2). Overall highly recommended and I hope to return

we stayed at the property for our honeymoon and could not believe how beautiful and remote it was. the closest villages and towns are a 20 minute drive in any direction, the views are stunning and the space feels cozy and like home.

Really great family stay for 7 adults, 3 children and a dog. Plenty of room inside and outside the property. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Lovely quiet location with ample parking. The pool was a great feature of our stay and even better with the timeslots for private swimming sessions. We will hopefully be back next year!
