Lovely little cottage in a fantastic location. Cosy, warm, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean. Perfect for a couple. Laugharne itself is well-worth a visit, and the location of Chapel View in the village couldn’t be better. Definitely try the Deli (Ferryman’s) 4 doors down for a day-time meal, and for a treat, go to Brown’s Hotel, again just a few steps away, for a drink and/or a meal. Kitchen in cottage is well-equipped if you want to cook your own food. Hosting is done through a company (Great Welsh Escapes). Don’t let this put you off. They do it really well and have thought of everything, with regular communication and a personal touch in all they do. Would definitely book this place again. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing property with plentiful space for everyone in the house including pool room and cinema room. The gardens are simply stunning, packed full of plants and with at least four sets of outdoor furniture.
Getting in and out of the drive was awkward on several occasions due to parked vehicles on the road outside.

Kate G. Stayed in Round Park 20.01.2021

We were a family group ranging from age 10 to 73, plus 3 dogs and this property suited everyone perfectly. Super spacious bungalow with areas for everyone to enjoy. With a large garden to the front (ideal for sitting and relaxing), a small enclosed garden to the rear (ideal for the dogs) and a large paved outside eating area, we were spoilt for choice.
A short walk down into the village there are two pubs serving lunchtime food, evening food was more limited. The Portreevers was expensive, and although good service and a nice atmosphere, food was average. Poons Thai restaurant however was AMAZING!! We wished we had found this earlier in our stay, take away and eat in (bring your own alcoholic drinks) the food was delicious.
We found Amroth beach to be absolutely ideal for us. Free parking right on the sea wall in front of the year round dog friendly section, acres of sand, safe water to paddle board and toilets nearby. We spent 3 full days on the beach and had such a good time, it was just 25 mins car trip and well worth it.
We would recommend Round Park to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway and as a good base to explore the area.

Had a great weekend at Jac’s place. Two families together ranging from age 7- 74. The house is lovely and spacious so plenty of room to cater for everyone. We had some rain, it didn’t matter though, whilst some were playing pool in the games room, others were playing board games in the dining room, which left the cinema room for playing on the Nintendo switch or watching tv. We made the most of the dry weather and had a couple walks into Laugharne. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The garden is huge and would be wonderful during summer I’m sure.

Our family of 5 (3 teen boys) had a relaxing and very comfortable stay. I love an open plan setting - so much more opportunity for chatting whilst you are preparing a meal. The arrangement of the rooms is really good - it means that the early birds can mooch around in the morning without disturbing the sleepy heads. I loved the conservatory area. It added some extra space from which to escape teen noise and it was lovely to sit out there and take in the elements. The covered outside area is also a bonus. It is sheltered from the wind and thus you can sit there on what might be a chilly evening and enjoy the last of the sun. The enclosed garden was a delight and was really handy for us - as it meant that our cocker spaniel could not escape chasing rabbits. This family home has a welcoming feel and we hope to return. The kitchen has everything that you might need - plenty of utensils. We would recommend Good Trails (Coppet Hall Beach near Saundersfoot) for paddle board lessons and bike hire. I also highly commend the whole booking experience. We found the online personal check-in area really useful for things to do / places to eat (plus the personal recommendations from the owner). Battlefield Live laser tag was on that list and it was brilliant fun. The agency responsible for this property were really communicative, friendly and helpful - good job guys!

Tucked away in a tranquil setting, the charming cottage provided the perfect escape from the city. The accommodation was cozy and thoughtfully decorated, ensuring everyone felt at home. The Old School House far exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful place to stay in. It’s spacious, clean, peaceful & looks stunning.
Clear instructions, especially the tip for using What3Words! The hosts were very responsive when emailed.
We had everything we needed. We spent plenty of time chilling there, but also went to Pendine Beach which was a great place with plenty of space, glorious sand & great views.
There’s a lovely cafe literally next door to the property in a converted barn, great food & friendly hosts.

A spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped and comfortable apartment just a short walk away from the sea front. A very relaxing break where everything had been thought of.
The door key to the apartment doesn't fit easily into the lock as it is slightly bent. Checkout at 11am would be much more relaxing than 10am especially as guests are asked to strip the bed and collect up the towels before departure. The sloped low ceilings in the bathroom, dining area and bedroom resulted in a few bumped heads. Scaffolding outside spoiled the view

Beautiful little property in the centre of Laugharne - perfect for a couple! There’s a few pubs, The Three Mariners being the best in our opinion. Not so many places close by to eat in the evening (not all the pubs do food in the evening) but the property is well equipped for cooking. Dexter’s steak restaurant at Browns Hotel is fantastic & worth a try!
Good location for visits to Tenby, Stackpole & the Pembrokeshire coast in general - lots of things to do/see/walk within an hour’s drive.
Parking wasn’t really an issue - it’s on the road outside the property. Managed to parked straight outside every day apart from one when we parked outside Browns Hotel.
Communication with the host, Jacs, was excellent - very helpful & friendly.

We had such a wonderful few days at Brofallen as a family of 5 adults and a toddler. The house is in a fabulous location with gorgeous views (particularly from the conservatory which got really lovely and toasty throughout the day). The house was really tastefully decorated, even down to the lighting being just right to have a cosy evening, it felt like a family home rather than a generic whitewashed holiday place. Our toddler loved exploring, there were toys dotted around which he loved finding and it was a pretty safe childproof environment for him to toddle about, which helped us to relax all the more. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept really well. Communication with Great Welsh Escapes was easy too.
The only negative would be that it was so nice we really had to convince ourselves to go out and about each day and not just stay in and enjoy it!
We will definitely be booking again for another trip!

We had such a lovely stay here and we would love to come back. Ros got back to us very quickly if we had any questions and kindly let us check out later. She was a brilliant host.

Superb little bolthole. The owners have renovated this place to a very high standard and you can tell that so much love has gone into it with perfect finishing touches. The main bedroom is nothing short of wow!

We LOVED York Lodge - Laugharne is beautiful and although I didn't know much about Dylan Thomas before I went, reading his 'Poem in October' written on his 30th birthday; whilst walking his 'birthday walk' (in October) and seeing what he was looking at and referring to was one of the most moving experiences. The emotion of it took me by surprise! The views are out of this world and a short walk from York Lodge. I am SO glad we came here and will most definitely come back again.

Beyond grateful to have found Sunny Bank as a base mid house move. The team at Great Welsh Escapes were really helpful in brokering our arrangements with the owners and since we’ve arrived Hazel and Hugh have been nothing short of AMAZING hosts. They’ve consistently gone over and above to accommodate what we’ve needed and ensure that our stay has been a good one. The property itself is beautiful and probably the cleanest and most well equipped accommodation we’ve stayed in. More little extra details than there’s time to list but they all make such a difference to the experience of being away from home. It’s always a challenge for us to find accommodation that is genuinely wheelchair accessible and Sunny Bank is just that. A rare find as properties go and made all the more special by the nature of the welcome and hosting. Thank you so much Hazel and a Hugh. You’ve made our move to Wales so much easier than it might otherwise have been and we’ll always really appreciate that!

4 of us went to stay in Laugharne based on the view from the living room window! Te living room (with a big Smart TV that I could get my Netflix account up on) is lovely simply because of the view. The large kitchen and dining room area is lovely and interestingly where we stand up most nights playing al the games the hosts have kindly left in the hall cupboard. Perfect space. A large, quality table and very comfortable chairs made it a great place to sit and eat and chat. The utility room off that room is very useful and the brand new washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher would make a longer stay very easy.
The main bathroom is big with a bath and a nice powerful shower. The 2 smaller bedrooms are still plenty big enough with nice furniture and overlooking the same amazing estuary view as the picture window in the lounge. Oddly, the larger master bedroom has a large window that faces a small block wall and patch of grass with no views. The tiny washroom is functional if a tiny bit dated.
The other 2 slept well but I hardly got any sleep at all as the bed had such a hard mattress on a pine frame that my back hurt too much to sleep. It may well be only personal and objective but if I were to stay again I would have to bring a 6" memory foam topper to be able to sleep better. The bedding (pillows, duvet and sheets etc) was perfectly laundered but very poor quality. Many people might not know, or care, but if you are used to a high thread count and good hotel quality duvet/pillows, you will very much notice! In fact, just that one change would elevate this property to luxury. from good In may opinion).
Overall, it is a beautiful, well laid out bungalow which it would be hard not to appreciate. I would happily return but will cross my fingers that the owners will change the mattress/bedding. :)
Te views are outstanding and the little shed in the garden is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the estuary and raise a glass of something to Dylan Thomas. I was not a huge fan before visiting but now, having read his 'Poem in October' whilst on his 'birthday walk' (in glorious technicolour in October) was beyond beautiful.

Great on all counts - location, accommodation, gardens and the host.

The location is very quiet and isolated, even though its just outside of Laugharne. The large gardens just add to that 'get away from it all' feel. Ideally located for exploring Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

The accommodation is excellent - a large house full of character and nice features. The cinema room, bar and pool table went down particularly well. Being a dog friendly property further added to its appeal.

Gardens - beautiful large gardens, professionally designed and planted, with lots of areas for exploration - it felt as if we were driving through Jurassic Park (minus the dinosaurs) when we first arrived, due to the abundance of tree ferns and Gunnera.

Finally, Jac is a great host, updating and making sure everything is right before and during your stay. The welcome pack was a nice touch, plus the information pack provided loads of information about whats available locally.

Excellent from start to finish, the place was exactly as listed and really modern which was great!! My one critique would have been to have dog bowls as we actually forgot ours but not a major issue and honestly we had the best time all weekend!! Decor was lovely and really modern which I like as it felt super fresh and clean inside. Really clear instructions and everything around check in went smoothly, we were a little late checking out but again really lovely host said it’s fine and just waited 10 mins for us to leave. Excellent service and also lovely garden even though the weather wasn’t great having the private space for the dogs was really needed and welcomed. Love it all thank you so much

Superb accommodation and location. Beautifully decorated and furnished, you pay a little more for this type of accommodation, but it really is worth it. My children, normally very fussy, adored their bedrooms and the whole house, which is full of character. Ideally placed within the village, and whilst there is no parking with the property, we never had a problem finding a parking space within a few footsteps, even in the school holidays. Pubs and restaurants are within a stone throw, and all are excellent. It's a very relaxing village, with beautiful walks, and superb beaches within easy travelling distance. We love the area, and will be back.

The Cors is a really stunning place to stay - the house is full of character and very comfortable with lots of fun 'extras' like the pool room, the cinema room and lots of games - and the garden is enormous and very tranquil and beautifully kept! The owners were also very hospitable and responsive and suggested many 'hidden gems' in the nearby area for us to explore, which we loved! Laugharne, we were delighted to discover the best place to stay in our seven years of visiting. Laugharne is a charming town with a rich history.
One of the highlights of our trip was visiting Laugharne Castle, which we highly recommend to anyone visiting this area. The castle not only offers a glimpse into the past but also treats visitors to breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
While our stay was fantastic, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. There was no bathroom blind in our accommodation. Although the glass was frosted, it did not provide enough privacy for our liking. It would have been more comfortable to have a proper blind or curtain in place, ensuring a sense of privacy while using the facilities.
Another small issue we encountered was the lack of tea towels in the kitchen, there was only one tea towel provided.
Despite these minor issues, our overall experience at this accommodation was exceptional.
We hope to come back!
