Beautiful home with luxurious touches that made our visit even more special and memorable

My mother and I just had a lovely 5 nights at Min Yr Afon.

It was absolutely fantastic.

Your kitchen was beautifully thought through. The cosy living room couches and fireplace and decor was appreciated.

We enjoyed visiting Dhillon Thomas's grave, the boathouse his writing shed, walking around the castle....Becoming locals at the three Mariners and a couple dinners at Brown's Hotel (particularly loved the pub side) and had coffee to enjoy the vies from the resort.

Lovely peaceful place, just what we wanted to rest and recuperate. Beautiful walks we enjoyed with our dog. Easy to get to the Welsh coast for nice days out. Sitting near the fireplace with a warm fire was a treat. Cute cottage with character, with lovely private outdoor space.

What a lovely place to stay, great for walking and relaxing admiring the fantastic views. Would happily stay here again.

Family of 8 - 4 adults and 4 kids and all enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for everybody and having a 2nd lounge is great for when the children want to make some noise.
House is well maintained and gardens great for kids to play.
House is well appointed and hosts (GWE) made contact after check in - we had to solve a beeping dishwasher with some salt but that was it in terms of issues.
New pans were dropped off during our stay following previous guest feedback.
Really great stay and would happily return there or to another property managed by the host.

Beautiful bungalow, decorated and furnished to high standard. Cosy kitchen/, diner lounge area. China crockery. Lots of kitchen equipment, washing machine, ironing board, beautiful fluffy white towels. Walk in im wet/shower area. Hot tub putdoor seating area.

We had a lovely stay at this property in the quiet village of Llansteffan. Our hosts were helpful and communicative. House was spotless and tidy, plenty of cooking equipment etc and a very short distance from the estuary and castle walks.

A fabulous property, full of character. Spacious, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. In centre of Laugharne so great for exploring the town. Welcome gifts on arrival much appreciated. Great Welsh Escapes were helpful and quick to respond to our queries, we would be happy to use them again.

Lack of parking at property could have been an issue but we had no problems parking in the small, nearby carpark.

This was a great base for a long weekend away with 6 adults and a baby. The house is on a quiet, private street and is a walkable distance from the town centre and the beach. The walk is a steep one but doable, even with a buggy. The house itself is spacious and well thought- out with nice, homely touches like live plants, umbrellas, blankets etc. The garden is lovely and there are sea views from the back bedrooms. The place was very clean and we were able to check in early which was very helpful after a long journey with a small baby. The communication with the host was very good. 5/5 ☺️

Lovely location for an extremely soothing break. Well equipped cottage and Robert was kind enough to get kids little games to keep busy when you are retiring after having a day out whether to botanical garden trip or folley farm.
Near by nisa local, fish and chips were handy to pop for a quick snack.
House was very clean and plenty of room for a family of six. We shall visit again and recommend this place.

This property is at the top of a hill with a gorgeous view of the countryside. There is an outdoor garden area with a lawn that was perfect for our grandson to run and explore. The unit is spacious with all you need to cook, wash clothes, and relax. This was our favorite place to stay during our holiday.

This did not bother us, but there are no shops or restaurants in the village. You need to make a short drive to nearby villages for supplies.

Had a fabulous time…Such a lovely, well equipped house. Really tastefully designed and in a perfect spot in Laugharne. We will definitely be back and counting down the days in the meantime!

We had a wonderful stay at Sunny Bank with two children, the bungalow is lovely. It feels like everything is brand-new and we are the first people to stay there, everything was so clean!
We loved:

There is loads to do in the area, we were here for a week and went to:
- Folly Farm
- Local beaches which are all fabulous, especially Llansteffan with the fish & chips
- The National Bird of Prey Centre
- Pembrey Country Park
- Gwili Steam Railway
- Tenby
I highly recommend staying here it is a wonderful place, really well located, and the hosts Hazel and High are so nice and have such a great attention to detail.

A fantastic short break. The photos of the property do not do it justice. Close to Tenby town and the beaches. A well equipped kitchen - home from home. Would certainly book to stay here again.

The apartment was amazing. Tastefully decorated and furnished. Everything you needed was provided down to an array of herbs and spices to produce any meal if you wanted. The bed was very comfortable bathroom large and spotlessly clean throughout.

Beautiful barn conversion set in a tiny hamlet not for from Carmarthen with great modern facilities and a hot tub. Would stay here again

We had a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing time at the Boat House which had everything we needed for our weeks stay.
Lovely to be able to sit outside and to only hear the sounds of cows lowing or the ducks and moorhens on the pond. Truly had a great rest and would highly recommend for anyone wanting total peace and quiet but within driving distance of some great sights.

As a family of 6 with two you ger chikdren and two teenagers this has been the perfect holiday home for us. It's been spacious and comfortable for all. Its beautifully decorated and maintained and resourced to a very high standard. Communication throughout our stay has been amazing. We have loved morning coffee on the patio overlooking the views of the estuary and nights with the hot tub. Thank you so much for a lovely place home from home. Very thankful we chose here over other places.

We stayed at Sunny Bank over the school Easter holidays. Two adults and our children 6 and 3. Plenty of information was sent in advance making finding the accommodation easy. We arrived to find a beautiful hamper of Welsh products and a warm welcoming home. Sunny bank has all the amenities you could need plus the luxuries of gowns and towels for the hot tub. The home was immaculately clean and a perfect place to come back to after a day out exploring the Welsh countryside. Hazel and her family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, from popping in to show us how to work the hot tub to messaging to help me find a doctor for my daughter. She really makes every effort to ensure you have a wonderful time. Sunnybank is so peaceful and quiet, and if you enjoy the hot tub in the evenings it's a great spot to stargaze in the clear unpolluted skies.

The views of the harbour from the bay window are absolutely stunning and there is plenty going on in the sea to keep you entertained. We only wish we'd thought to bring binoculars! The apartment is very comfortable with great beds and both a shower and bath and the location is close to all amenities. There is a large lift. In the summer you can only drop off luggage after 5.30 pm due to traffic restrictions.

We had a great time in Tenby, house was very clean, within walking distance to all amenities. Host was very responsive and we will definitely come back again.

Absolutely beautiful property in a breathe taking location. A real 'off the grid' feel without feeling like you are completely isolated. Incredible walks on the door step and a lovely cosy but very private property. The wood burners were a real highlight. Great proactive and very responsive communication from the host. We felt right at home and enjoyed the thoughtful touches and masses of local information provided. We will definitely be returning (asap I hope)!

Exceptional, had a 3 night stay with the family , beautiful views, huge place to stay and very clean , bbq area and games room , loved everyminute , and great nights sleep too highly recommended, walking distance to beach and near by pub will defo be saying again , host was excellent great communication , a lovely bottle of wine on arrival and some Welsh teas ,coffees and gorgeous waffles , thankyou we all had a wonderful time

A lovely house, with fantastic gardens. Perfect place to stay and relax for a week with three generations of our family getting together. Minutes walk into town, plenty to do in the area and it’s such a nice place to stay you’ll be happy just staying in, even when it’s raining. If anything, it’s even nicer than it looks in the photos - though we were also lucky with the sunshine.

Chapel view is a lovely cottage, super clean and comfortable. Easy parking outside the cottage and within walking distant to shops and places to eat. If you want to stay in and cook the cottage has everything you need.

We often visit Laugharne and wood happily return to Min Yr Afon. Perfect location being walking distance to the castle, the beach, shops, restaurant and bars. Good sized accommodation for 4 people. Well equipped kitchen. Good sized bedrooms. thoughtfully looked after and well maintained.

Really well equipped home (aside from no dishcloths or washing up sponges) with everything you could need - we managed to cook a full roast dinner.
Plenty of space with 2 bathrooms serving the 4 bedrooms.
The living areas were ideal for 2 families with 4 teenage children between them. Kitchen with sitting area and log burner was cosy and a great space.
Utility room was great for the dog and table tennis in the garage kept the teens entertained (Even if it was a bit nippy)
Overall the house was clean. Good sized bath towels (sheets rather than standard towel size) but bath mats would have been a welcome addition. Bedding was comfy.
Fabulous welcome pack and Christmas tree made a warm welcome and we had a great break over the new year.

Very very clean spacious property, which contained everything we needed. Felt very homely. The garden was gorgeous. The beds were very comfortable. Excellent location for exploring.

We loved staying at Drefach! The beautiful massive garden with the hot tub was the highlight of our holiday. We also enjoyed the spacious house that was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

A great place for a weekend trip with family and friends, quiet, peaceful and clean. I will recommend this property to anyone looking for private accommodation for few days getaway. Close to the coast and attractions easy to get Around (if you got a car). Place was clean and looked like the pictures, easy and flexible check in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maesteg Cottage, it was very well equipped and we found everything that we needed plus a lovely welcome pack including Welsh cakes, wine and coffee. The cottage has a few quirky features including an unusual upstairs toilet!! It is a very comfortable and homely property, particularly the beds, we all slept very well. There is also a beautiful enclosed garden on different layers with a secluded spot at the top where you can sit and enjoy the view in the evening sun. The location is good for visiting a variety of places and we enjoyed Laugharne, Tenby, Cardigan, Gwbert and Tresaith Beach and waterfall, all within around 35 minutes travel by car from the cottage. We would stay again.

Everything. No issues with the property whatsoever, it’s just so nice and the hosts were so friendly and helpful as well. The welcome pack was very nice and much appreciated. It’s in such a quiet location, you could hear a pin drop when sitting outside.

Fantastic location, really quiet and peaceful but also not too far away from supermarkets, beaches, coastal walks and tourist attractions.
We loved walking through the woods down to the creek every day to see what was new (lots of autumn colours and fungi in our case). We don't normally visit the same place twice but in this case we are already planning the next trip!

Great location close to campus. Space to park two vehicles. The house was comfortable for five of us.

It was an amazing experience I have been before many properties it’s very quite and peaceful place host was very helpful she came to property to greet us which Was appreciated much I love this property everything was neatly arranged.

This is a lovely flat, with a great view of Tenby harbour and all the way down the beach (and the coast beyond). The flat is also beautifully positioned for visiting the town and all it has to offer. Nice decor and OKish bedding (next time we would take our own pillows). The flat is well laid out and was perfect for our family of three (four would be cramped around the tiny dining table). We had a great stay and we would be more than happy to return.

A beautiful barn in a very tranquil setting. We had storm Floris and could hardly hear it. We had everything we needed. Even the patchy internet signal was workable and meant less screen time which was a positive! So many lovely places to visit from sandy and pebble beaches, castles and beautiful gardens or shopping all within an hour. Great pub and café food in Laugharne and a warm welcome from all. Would highly recommend it. It really was relaxing and just beautiful.

Really excellent stay, even with average weather we got a lot of use out of the pool. The house is amazing and really spacious with great Wifi throughout. Would definitely return. Thanks for the great break.

Gorgeous bungalow plenty of space and room in the property I would say a few things need looking at like the curtain rails don’t draw properly. The kitchen knives were really blunt. The fish slice fell apart and I cut myself on the tin opener otherwise I can’t fault it plenty of space for everyone.

The property was fantastic. Everything that was stated on the site was accurate. The house is in a lovely location (up a hill), a short walk in to town, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The hosts had left us a welcome pack on arrival which was a lovely touch. We had taken two cars and parking was not a problem. The house was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for the five adults in our party. I would recommend this property and would definitely stay here again if we went back to Tenby.

The bungalow was beautiful, clean and well equipped. It was great for us that it is fully accessible as my disabled mother could visit.

This property is a great base for lots of beautiful Welsh places and only 10 mins drive from Carmarthen. Hot tub was lovely. I lay in it and looked at the stars.

Our stay at great Welsh was great, we enjoyed our stay including clean and tidy bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful garden, and amazing view. We also enjoyed hot tub. There were lots of things for kids and other things to play sports. Also host left us many things to eat and drink. Overall it was a perfect house and I recommend it if anyone wants to stay. We were given a warm welcome by the host.

Lovely welcome pack include prosecco nice after a 5 hour drive. The accommodation is perfectly presented in every room. Thanks so much Ann and Ian.

Nice apartment very close to beach just up the hill. Sea views and well appointed inside.
Parking space was a real bonus for evening visits to town avoided having to pay for parking in town.

Apartment clean enough and well equipped. Lovely balcony and views. Everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The guest book is great and has all the details you need. Hosts were friendly and responsive when recommending places for food.
Not much to do around the location but easy enough to get into Saundersfoot and Tenby.
Luckily no one was staying in the apartment above us but I didn’t see a mention of this when booking. Car park space right outside which is good and then an overflow car park for any extra cars.

We had a lovely 6 night stay in the Coach House with our elderly dog. It was very quiet, with close parking and a view out over a horse field. The fenced garden was very practical for the dog and pleasant to have a coffee in. The accommodation was cosy and comfy and we liked having the option of using the pub/restaurant as well. There was plenty to see and do in the area. The owner was very reactive to any questions we had. We thought this was very good value.

Amazing property to spend Christmas at with my children. Views from the cottage are beautiful and the pool facility is a treat!

Unspoilt countryside, total privacy. Great to have a pool, jacuzzi bath and say to hello to the cows every morning whilst looking over the lake. We visited with our 8 month old and our 2 dogs. We all loved it. Even got a massage treatment at the property. Thank you!

We had a really good stay at The Barn and Chaffhouse. The accommodation is well decorated and comfortable. Nice welcome park on arrival including tea and coffee. Dishwasher tablets were appreciated.

Constructive feedback that can be offered
1) provide more cleaning products. It’s turn easier to keep the place clean. E.g lichen spray, kitchen roll.
2) please provide some more bowls for breakfast and replace chipped crockery.

We loved our stay with our young family. Great location to visit local attractions. Our boys loved meeting our neighbours (goats and chickens) and our hosts were very helpful and attentive.

Middlelands is a high quality place to stay and 10-25 mins to all the finest of Pembroke's beaches (therefore some of the most beautiful in the world). Plenty of space for my party and our dog. Amenities are as described with excellent cooking facilities. The owner, Ros, lives nearby and accessible so you are not dealing with a faceless agent. Highly recommended.

Stayed for a week with my family over the summer. The Hidden Valley is beautiful - newly decorated, super comfy sofas and beds, kitchen fully equipped (they have thought of everything!), and the snug is a real bonus. It was fantastic to walk out of the bedroom door in the morning and enjoy the spectacular view. I'm a keen stargazer, and the dark skies were an absolute wonder. Got some great photos of the Milky Way and it was a real treat using my telescope. Location-wise, there are so many gorgeous beaches nearby (Tenby, Saundersfoot, Wisemans Bridge, Manorbier and Barafundle were our favourites), lots to do for the kids and for adults, and plenty of places to stock up on amenities just a short drive away. Loved every minute, thank you for a fantastic week!

Stayed a Sunnybank beginning of October for ten days. Immediately when you walk in you can see that the cottage is so clean and fresh. Everything you need for a holiday is there, just like home from home. The hot tub (which is very private) is excellent and so it the games room. The owners were easily contactable if needed. We would highly recommend this cottage. Although we didn't require, the cottage is also ideal if there is a disability shower wise etc. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!

Peaceful and beautiful.

It was a beautiful house and with all the amenities anyone could ask for. It really felt as if we were staying in someone's home. Everything you could think of was in the ktichen. It made it very nice to be able to cook home meals there. The view is spectacular from the sun deck and the local town of Laugharne was super friendly. We loved it. highly recommend.

Cartrefle was all we expected and more. The log burners made it feel very cosy, large bedrooms and really comfortable beds were a real bonus. The attic room is a great space too, with en-suite bathroom and large TV. Great location, not too far from the beach and surrounded by beautiful countryside! The Cottage, Laugharne offers a huge, warm Welsh cwtsh. Set on the stunning estuary, the house with its magnificent rooms and facilities is an absolute gem, for groups and families. Highly recommended!

Clean and tidy very well presented barn. Could not fault it in any way, lovely owners who greeted us on arrival. Would 100% stay again and we are looking to book again in March 2026 for our son’s birthday! The goats were definitely a nice surprise too!
