Great location, peaceful surroundings & a beautiful view to wake up to.
The beach is right outside the door, never busy which we loved with our nervous dog.
House was lovely & had everything we needed for our trip.

Just an astonishing house, I think the most beautiful place I've ever stayed - the photos, beautiful as they are, don't quite do it justice. The restoration work on this old Georgian house has to be seen to be believed. Our teenagers loved the pool, the outside area and barbecue are wonderful, the bedrooms are breathtaking and very comfortable. Laugharne is wonderful and very friendly, and there are beautiful walks on your doorstep. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Exceptional, had a 3 night stay with the family , beautiful views, huge place to stay and very clean , bbq area and games room , loved everyminute , and great nights sleep too highly recommended, walking distance to beach and near by pub will defo be saying again , host was excellent great communication , a lovely bottle of wine on arrival and some Welsh teas ,coffees and gorgeous waffles , thankyou we all had a wonderful time

We loved our short stay at the Great House, what a house. The children particularly enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and we all loved the snug and kitchen for being together. A perfect stay - we will definitely be back.

Lovely big house for a family holiday. Plenty of space for everyone, with a very well appointed kitchen. Laugharne was an easy walk with lots to see and places to eat. A great location for exploring.

Beautiful cottage in a great location. The cottage was really comfortable and beautifully furnished. A real home from home! Laugharne is lovely. We loved Poons Street Food, the castle and the walls around Laugharne.

Family of 8 - 4 adults and 4 kids and all enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for everybody and having a 2nd lounge is great for when the children want to make some noise.
House is well maintained and gardens great for kids to play.
House is well appointed and hosts (GWE) made contact after check in - we had to solve a beeping dishwasher with some salt but that was it in terms of issues.
New pans were dropped off during our stay following previous guest feedback.
Really great stay and would happily return there or to another property managed by the host.

We had a thoroughly relaxing break and enjoyed Pendine. However, what made the break even more special was Ty'r Ardd. It was what we wanted and more. Accessible, exceptionally clean, comfortable, perfect size for a family of 4 & dog and the hosts were so kind and lovely.
We had an issue with the TV. The host came to the property to have a look, arranged an engineer and had it fixed within 12hrs!!!

Would 100% recommend and will 100% stay again.

This house deserves its name ‘Great House’.
Every room is spacious … and there are a lot of them over 4 floors! Special mention for the magnificent bathrooms!
Rooms full of furniture, splendid paintings and impressive pottery on display.
As for the basics: the house was spotlessly clean, gas central heating is very effective (plus a log fire), the huge beds are very comfortable and the kitchen comes well equipped.

Utterly wow from the first month you pull on onto a rather steep driveway.Everything is of such good quality.Kitchen so well stocked to wonder shower & bathroom.The TV for none technical ladies was a challenge but eventually got there.The hot tub view we just didn't want to get out.Beds are so comfy & a goodnight sleep was had by us all.If you don't want to cook they definitely had a good range of place's to eat & drink.We will definitely be coming back just stunning

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place itself was beautiful, it was so family friendly which was perfect for us and our little one, the host went above and beyond in ensuring there was everything you could require.

Beudy Howel was a beautifully renovated property. It was light & airy and exceptionally well appointed. There was a thoughtful welcome package. Lots of easy to follow instructions and lists of restaurants & beaches. I would highly recommend staying here, it was lovely & quiet.

One word - amazing. Is how I would describe this place. Peaceful and beautiful, this place is perfectly located to the west of the national park in the Black Mountains. Which is amazing for long walks great for the dog. The place itself is stunning, clean and well maintained.

Wow, the most bautiful place and perfecto. I highly recomend this place for anyone who wants to explore South Wales. The Old School is bautiful inside and out. We cannot wait to back to the UK and stay here again. 5 stars

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Middlelands in August (5 adults, 3 kids) The house has large living spaces, was immaculate, and tastefully decorated. Kitchen very well equipped. The location is rural but within 15-30 mins drive of many activities and beaches, great for families. Communication from Great Welsh Escapes was excellent. I hope we will return!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay from the welcome hamper in the kitchen which was a lovely surprise to the hot tub out the back which we enjoyed.Hazel even popped over after we had checked in to make sure everything was fine for us which was very nice of her,the area was very quiet and peaceful with the lovely views ideal for a relaxing holiday especially with Tenby just 25 minute's drive away we will definitely be booking again next year

A perfect place to stay over Christmas with two toddlers and a dog.
The Boathouse was exactly as described and decorated for Christmas when we arrived.
The pool was bigger than expected but perfect to use each day for kids working on their swimming and water confidence.
The host, Richard, was always available, friendly and chatty with the kids when they showed an interest in the animals.

Beautiful traditional Georgian house in all her finery. We loved our stay even though it was just the two of us! Kitchen was really well equipped and Log burner was perfect for afternoon tea and relaxing

The Cottage, Laugharne.
The house was absolutely perfect for us (11 of us), loads of room for us all and the dog.
The uninterrupted views of the estuary, from the garden and bedrooms, were amazing. The house was 5*.

Laugharne is a great place to holiday, the village itself having pubs, restaurants and tea rooms with loads to do within a short distance.

This is truly a magical place to stay. You feel like you are the only ones in the woods. The position is perfect. Surrounded by trees, the estuary, fields. The house is very characterful and quirky. Beds super comfy and upstairs very well decorated and clean. Downstairs is a little tired maybe but that can be my only negative. Hosts very very helpful. Loved my two weeks stay .

Absolutely beautiful setting for us. Felt quite and out the way but still close enough to grab groceries. We had a car so we was happy to drive to the top beaches in wales each day from here was around 50 minutes really happy with our pick with this one Highly recommended

The location was superb, overlooking a lake with wildfowl. Being on a farm at the end of a track, it was private and quiet. Having sole use of a large indoor heated pool was a real bonus. The property was comfortably furnished. There were shops in nearby St Clears with long opening hours, even on Sunday. The owner was friendly and helpful. There was plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.

The steps down to the property were steep.

Excellent location (right on the harbour and near the town centre, but not noisy). Not a 'luxurious' accommodation, if that's what you're after, but perfect for a beach side holiday - practical, clean, cosy, well equipped. Lots to do, right on your doorstep, including an excellent Italian restaurant! We were very happy with our holiday there.

Our stay at Chapel View in Laugharne, Carmarthen was excellent. The cottage is ideal for two and decorated in modern style and comfort. It is well located in the centre of the upper town and is secure and quiet thanks to double glazing. We really enjoyed Laugharne and the surrounding area.

The cottage was very central and close to restaurants and bars. Lovely place.

Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit. Schon der Empfang mit einem Korb mit walisischen Lebensmitteln und Getränken im Kühlschrank war außergewöhnlich und sehr erfreulich. Der Kontakt zu den Gastgebern war sehr nett. Das Haus ist extrem sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet, es fehlt einfach nichts.

Das ganze Haus ist behindertengerecht gebaut, so auch die Badezimmer.

Alles ist wie auf den Bilder und sehr zu empfehlen.

Eine sehr gute Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage, mitten in der Natur mit toller Aussicht und ideal für viele Tagestouren.

Wir waren sechs Nächte dort und haben noch lange nicht alles gesehen.



Ein sehr schönes Haus für Entspannung und Ausflüge.

The boathouse is a lovely little escape with complete peace, along with being close to local towns and beaches. The place is as described and as you see in the photos. The private pool and sauna is such a nice addition too, which our son loved. Our dogs were so excited by the lake and cows, and wanted to always been outside in the enclosed area.
Great Welsh Escapes sent through clear instructions before hand, and proactively messaged me on day 1 to ensure I had everything I needed. This was a nice touch!
Richard, the owner and farmer, was super welcoming and made an effort to come out when we arrived to show us around personally. When we had a small issue I text Richard and he walked down almost immediately to help. He also spent a little while answering all my silly questions about dairy farming and his cows!!
We certainly plan to go back in the future and stay again :)

This is a lovely house in a lovely village. We had a great stay and would definitely go back. The house and gardens are very spacious. The house is very well equipped and everything was just perfect. The house is a short walk to the beach and castle.

As a family of 6 with two you ger chikdren and two teenagers this has been the perfect holiday home for us. It's been spacious and comfortable for all. Its beautifully decorated and maintained and resourced to a very high standard. Communication throughout our stay has been amazing. We have loved morning coffee on the patio overlooking the views of the estuary and nights with the hot tub. Thank you so much for a lovely place home from home. Very thankful we chose here over other places.

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful and peaceful and lovely to be among the farm. Swimming pool and Sauna were excellent. The boathouse was lovely and cosy. Just great.

Wildhaven was the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. The views were absolutely stunning and the cottage was large and beautifully furnished. The beds were really comfortable and each bathroom luxurious. The garden was large, fenced, but sadly not secure enough for a determined Cocker Spaniel. It's isolation meant the only sounds were the mountain sheep and the early morning wake up call from the local crows. Our host, Jess was regularly in contact which was so helpful. Our week at Wildhaven has had such a positive impact on us that we will be back next year.

Gwalia House is beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. Laugharne is a fascinating village with a stunning castle, the Dylan Thomas museum, and the coastal path all on your doorstep. There are shops, pubs and places to eat within walking distance and great beaches a short drive away. Great Welsh Estates were so helpful and posted us some things we'd left behind. Highly recommended.

Unspoilt countryside, total privacy. Great to have a pool, jacuzzi bath and say to hello to the cows every morning whilst looking over the lake. We visited with our 8 month old and our 2 dogs. We all loved it. Even got a massage treatment at the property. Thank you!

A lovely spacious property which was exactly as described. Hosts were very good with communications before and during our stay and gave good local advice. Thanks for the gift of the Prosecco, tea and Bara Brith, much appreciated.The hot tub was excellent and super views over to the castle. Having extra towels for use in the hot tub was a bonus. The hill up to the property is a bit steep and may not suit everyone but we were fine with it. The property was very clean and tidy throughout, and the kitchen was fully stocked for self catering. I would certainly recommend this property to others.

Well what can I say! This accommodation went above and beyond our expectations completely, it is an absolutely stunning property equipped with everything you need to enjoy your holiday! It is also completely disabled friendly which is a lovely touch of inclusivity. We would 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in the area. The owners are such kind people also ( The hamper your greeted with is a beautiful touch also ). Super comfy seating areas and beds, lots of cupboards and wardrobes for storing your holiday essentials and the kitchen is completely fully equipped with everything you could possibly need! We loved our weekend away at Maes Y Mel and will definitely be coming back in years to come! Our hosts Buddug and Lloyd were absolutely wonderful and made us feel right at home. It was like a home away from home with all the amenities we needed to relax. Such a beautiful and tranquil location away from all noise and distractions. Thank you for hosting us, we had a fantastic time away in Wales.

We had a lovely time. Really liked the 2 lounges, when I got fed up of the Mrs I used the other lounge and could watch what I wanted on the TV. The double bed was quite firm which wasn’t to our liking. There were a few general maintenance and cleanliness issues but these didn’t affect our stay. The location was stunning and peaceful, we saw more tractors than cars 😀 Hazel visited us on the first evening to make sure we were all settled and gave us some good recommendations. We really enjoyed stargazing while sat in the hot tub and the visits every morning from the farm cat. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could want and need as well as some basic items in the cupboards (coffee, tea, salt, pepper, spices etc)

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Brofallen- the beautiful decor and gorgeous plants really made it feel like home from home only better! The view from the garden and conservatory is stunning- it was such a treat to start our day looking out to the distant sea, drinking the local, small batch roasted coffee left as part of the welcome pack. We had a couple of questions which were promptly and kindly responded to. We found the house very thoughtfully equipped and we cooked, played some of the games and used some DVDs and books as well. For most dogs the garden is very nicely enclosed and a great place to explore. For our rescued Serbian street dog, he did find a way out towards the neighbour's garden even though we were supervising him. We would definitely like to return- the house feels like a relaxing retreat.

I recently stayed at Frogmore in Laughne and had a fantastic experience. The rental was located in a beautiful area , including a great view of the nearby castle. The property itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also a very last minute booking and the contact at Great welsh escapes was incredibly helpful at accommodating us.

One thing I particularly appreciated was the attention to detail in the décor and furnishings. It was clear that the owners had put a lot of thought into creating a warm and inviting space that felt like a home away from home.

Overall, I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway . The location, amenities, and attention to detail made it a truly memorable stay.

Excellent from start to finish, the place was exactly as listed and really modern which was great!! My one critique would have been to have dog bowls as we actually forgot ours but not a major issue and honestly we had the best time all weekend!! Decor was lovely and really modern which I like as it felt super fresh and clean inside. Really clear instructions and everything around check in went smoothly, we were a little late checking out but again really lovely host said it’s fine and just waited 10 mins for us to leave. Excellent service and also lovely garden even though the weather wasn’t great having the private space for the dogs was really needed and welcomed. Love it all thank you so much

This property is ideally located next to the grocery shop, pubs, gift shops and restaurants. Especially marvelous was the the view of the massive castle and relics across from the property and dusk light reflecting off the castle walls that we could see from upstairs windows. The locals were very friendly and happy to fill us in on curiously spelt Welsh place names and local information. The property was exceptionally well presented and clean with car parking right out the front

Chapel view is a lovely cottage, super clean and comfortable. Easy parking outside the cottage and within walking distant to shops and places to eat. If you want to stay in and cook the cottage has everything you need.

The whole property was clean and very modern.
The village is very close with all amenities BUT please try Ty Glo....this eatery was one of the highlights.....a jewel that's hidden from sight.

The bungalows position is first class giving extremely beautiful views. Simply put in total it's a must come back situation. If there is a down side it would appear the time goes quicker staying here..

Exceptional stay , had a family break , 5 adults a 3 children , the accommodation was huge , lovely eating area for the whole family , game rooms , lovely comfy beds , we all slept well , had a bbq too , close watch to the beach and a pub up the road , bring lots of food for your stay as nearest shop is a spar 35 min drive , we stayed for 3 wonderful days great place to explore Wales, and thankyou for the wine and waffles and Welsh teas and coffees , will definitely return we had a lovely stay 😀

We stayed at Coedllys Uchaf. It was such a wonderful experience. Steward was a friendly guy as he recommended us an amazing visiting location place which we never even planned and thought of.
When we went to visit it, we truly saw a lovely and beautiful cultural of Wales.

Also, we enjoyed spending time looking at Peacock Charlie and the place where we stayed was nice, cosy and warm to stay. Enjoyed the sauna and hot tub bath, which was relaxing after hiking in Pen Y Fan mountain and after visiting beaches such as Newgale, Ramsay Island and Tenby.

Highly recommended it as we plan to book this place again when visiting in future. Looking forward to introduce Wales to our family, friends and relatives. Had a good time visiting Wales in June 2022.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Very spacious and clean. Had great facilities and everything we needed. Location was nice and not far from main town. Walks along the beach to the castle were peaceful and we enjoyed the surrounding scenery and village. Very quiet and relaxing.

Footprints is a fantastic apartment in a great location, short walk downhill into Saundersfoot, which is a gorgeous town. Apartment is spacious and really well presented with so many extra lovely touches. Large comfy bed. Communication with Sarah was excellent. We would like to return snd would definitely stay there again and recommend to others

Had a fantastic 3 nights at the bungalow. Nice and spacious, fantastic views and very peaceful.

We had a lovely family break at the Sea Gem. A 10 minute downhill walk to Tenby seafront. Lovely spacious house as described on the listing. Great communication from the hosts, even after we have left when we realised we’d left an item there, the host was extremely helpful in retrieving our forgotten item. Can’t thank them enough!

I want to give 5* for this accomodation, we will return in the summer .

Such a lovely place to stay, this is the second time I have stayed here. It's so quiet and cosy, everything you could need is provided. Fully equipped kitchen is amazing, made some decent dishes accompanied by a game of trivial pursuit (which was definitely a challenge). Sitting by the fire in the cold evenings, movie on - what more could you ask for!
There was a bit of snow during our stay and Katie at GWE made a point of letting us know the conditions before we arrived, and then checked with us the next day. Thanks Katie ;)

This is a beautiful barn conversion, you can really see the owners have put a lots of thought and effort into the finishing details. The location is perfect, peaceful and quiet but only a 30 min walk into Carmarthen.

The property itself is a private little gem, set down a long rural track away from the world it provides the perfect rural escape to enjoy some quiet time in the heart of a beautiful private estate and garden!
The 18th century cottage is like stepping back in time, reserved and understated and yet everything you need for a tranquil escape!
The property was easy to find and enter, clean, well furnished and homely! Ample supply of wood and kindling for the Aga and fires, well laid out and very enjoyable to be in!
It’s the perfect place to explore the local area or nestle down with a good book and ignore the world!

Wonderful stay at this gorgeous apartment. All the furnishings and equipment were excellent and the bed was big and very comfortable.

Ein wunderschönes Haus auf einer Ebene zwischen dem Meer und dem Nationalpark. Alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Das Fenster im Wohnzimmer ist der Hammer. Der Garten ist nicht zu 100% eingezäunt, aber mit etwas Fantasie kann man ihn "Hundeausbruchsicher" machen.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Awel Taf. The house was spotlessly clean, had all amenities for a week’s stay. This place is very well placed with a 15 min drive from Carmarthen and also not far from beaches in South Wales. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.

Had a fantastic family stay in the old school house. The facilities are high spec with a well equipped kitchen, in fact I’m now on the unit for a new bathroom following our visit.!
The only down side was that there are no draws or wardrobes in the bedrooms and therefore we were living out of suitcases for the week.

We had a very comfortable stay. The view is amazing from the lovely balcony. We appreciated the quiet location but also being so close to amenities and the beautiful beach.

We stayed at Sunny Bank over the school Easter holidays. Two adults and our children 6 and 3. Plenty of information was sent in advance making finding the accommodation easy. We arrived to find a beautiful hamper of Welsh products and a warm welcoming home. Sunny bank has all the amenities you could need plus the luxuries of gowns and towels for the hot tub. The home was immaculately clean and a perfect place to come back to after a day out exploring the Welsh countryside. Hazel and her family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, from popping in to show us how to work the hot tub to messaging to help me find a doctor for my daughter. She really makes every effort to ensure you have a wonderful time. Sunnybank is so peaceful and quiet, and if you enjoy the hot tub in the evenings it's a great spot to stargaze in the clear unpolluted skies.

It was a such lovely stay. The beds were very soft and towels provided were really clean! The house situated in a such peaceful and scenic location, and it’s a good distance to the town centre and the nearest beach. We enjoyed our time here and the host was really responsive to our messages. Thank you!

Great house. Spacious corridors and rooms. The main living room, the kitchen and one of the big rooms are great. Clean, comfortable. We couldn't use on the main living areas as it was under construction so they provided a hot tub outside. It's got great views and nice surroundings. Temperature was a bit funny at the beginning but it balanced after 24 hours. Great indoors fire! Very good communication and available. Great price for such space! Highly recommended.

We had a great few days at the house. The downstairs rooms are vast and gave us a lot of space. The garden is lovely - the cherry blossom was so beautiful! We did lots of interesting trips. We’d love to come back one day.
