Gwalia House was simply perfect. Beautifully decorated and with everything you need.
The house has a comforting feel with the most restful beds and rooms where the light floods in.
I’m the evenings, games and books to entertain.
Laugharne was quant, quirky, friendly, and full of history.
Make sure to visit the 3 Mariners, Poons, the Deli and Choices gift shop.
Couldn’t have been a better half term with family.

My Wife and I feel really relaxed after a wonderful stay at this fantastic rural location. We ate dinner outside every night watching the sun go down. The chickens certainly kept us entertained too! You will not be disappointed booking to stay here.

What a fantastic place and an amazing base to explore Pembrokeshire. We arrived in the most wonderful grounds of Upton Castle and were welcomed by our friendly hosts who gave us all the necessary information to make our stay easy. The grounds are picturesque and the house is quiet and peaceful. There is everything you need and nothing you don’t, so don’t expect ultra-fast broadband but do expect wonderful nights by the fire roasting marshmallows, playing games, and doing things ‘offline’. Within 15/20 mins you have amazing beaches like Barafundle and Coppet Hall, towns such as Tenby and Narberth, castles, shops, National Trust sites, and nature. A little further afield you have St Davids, Fishguard, Cardigan, and Scomer Island but all very accessible from this great location. Our whole family thought the 10 day break was amazing and we are itching to get back.

Everything was really lovely & felt just like home from home.we really didn't want to leave.

We soon settled in & felt very relaxed the whole time. The beds were very comfy & all slept very well. The bathroom/ensuite were lovely & showers excellent. We never got bored of looking at the view. The location was perfect to walk into Tenby centre.

Our week at the Cors was our first family holiday for three years. It is a lovely, interesting house and there is plenty to do in Laugharne and the surrounding area. We had a really good time. Thank you to Jac and the team at GWE for all your help.

I recently stayed at Frogmore in Laughne and had a fantastic experience. The rental was located in a beautiful area , including a great view of the nearby castle. The property itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also a very last minute booking and the contact at Great welsh escapes was incredibly helpful at accommodating us.

One thing I particularly appreciated was the attention to detail in the décor and furnishings. It was clear that the owners had put a lot of thought into creating a warm and inviting space that felt like a home away from home.

Overall, I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway . The location, amenities, and attention to detail made it a truly memorable stay.

The house is spectacular and so historic. It is situated very conveniently in a great location, near to pubs and restaurants in a beautiful village.

Everything about this property is great. Hosts are very warm and takes guest's comfort very seriously. We were welcomed with Easter treats and a delicious welsh cake. The instructions booklet provided by host had everything we needed. Rooms were spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. Property had nice positive vibe that you start feeling like dear home instantly.

Great place for a weekend getaway, plenty of space and really nice having a secure garden for the dog. Well equipped and appreciated having a lot of firewood on hand!

Beautiful house and location! Hot tub and fire pit were lovely additions. Lots of things to do in the area and perfectly situated between the Brecon Beacons and pembrokshire. Only small thing I would say was that there was no tea bags, coffee was limited, no olive oil - Little things like this would make life much easier and don’t cost a lot! Other than this great stay and would stay again. Thanks so much :)

We stayed at Sunny Bank over the school Easter holidays. Two adults and our children 6 and 3. Plenty of information was sent in advance making finding the accommodation easy. We arrived to find a beautiful hamper of Welsh products and a warm welcoming home. Sunny bank has all the amenities you could need plus the luxuries of gowns and towels for the hot tub. The home was immaculately clean and a perfect place to come back to after a day out exploring the Welsh countryside. Hazel and her family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, from popping in to show us how to work the hot tub to messaging to help me find a doctor for my daughter. She really makes every effort to ensure you have a wonderful time. Sunnybank is so peaceful and quiet, and if you enjoy the hot tub in the evenings it's a great spot to stargaze in the clear unpolluted skies.

Stayed in the smaller cottage with my wife and two children under 10. The cottage was lovely and cosy, surrounded by lovely grounds. Close to beaches and attractions. Loved our stay.

The house was in a perfect location to view the castle and estuary. It is beautifully furnished and was exceptionally clean. It's an upside down living arrangement with the lounge and kitchen upstairs to make the most of the view and bedrooms on the ground floor Everything was thought of and a welcome pack of shortbread, waffle biscuits and prosecco was so appreciated.

Nothing! The house had been shut up so there was a slight musty smell when we first arrived but as soon as we opened the windows it was fine and in no way detracted from the lovely surroundings.

We had a great stay, the house was exactly as advertised and the location was particularly good. Right in town and an easy walk to lots of pubs and cafes.

Our second stay in Round Park and we will definitely be back again! Everything we needed for 8 of plus dog. Having the annex too, was great! Thanks Michelle, Jac and all the Great Welsh Escapes team.😃

Every single small detail had been considered. So peaceful with stunning views. Glorious sunrise and sunsets. Very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely little cottage in a fantastic location. Cosy, warm, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean. Perfect for a couple. Laugharne itself is well-worth a visit, and the location of Chapel View in the village couldn’t be better. Definitely try the Deli (Ferryman’s) 4 doors down for a day-time meal, and for a treat, go to Brown’s Hotel, again just a few steps away, for a drink and/or a meal. Kitchen in cottage is well-equipped if you want to cook your own food. Hosting is done through a company (Great Welsh Escapes). Don’t let this put you off. They do it really well and have thought of everything, with regular communication and a personal touch in all they do. Would definitely book this place again. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights stay in this lovely modern apartment. The location is very quiet but only a few minutes walk to the beach. The apartment is superbly and tastefully furnished with everything you need to make it feel like home from home. All the facilities were to a very high standard and everything was spotlessly clean. With lovely views to the sea and private parking it is a real gem and is highly recommended.

Sunrise Super View , Hot Tub

We had a fantastic staycation experience!

Firstly, the good view we experienced was stunning, especially we witnessed a sunrise you had never seen before. The fact that i am specially mentioning it as it left a strong impression on me .

Additionally, the facility good amenities, including a spacious and clean home and a hot tub. These types of features can make all the difference in creating a relaxing and enjoyable staycation experience.

Overall, it was very positive and happy time we spent with family.
Thanks again as this stay will remain in our and my 6 year old girl memories forever.

What a place the Great House is! We were two families with young kids and a dog and it was amazing, plenty of space for us all the kids loved exploring the different rooms at night with a torch!
The location was perfect with a short walk to Browns and the new pizza place, which is worth going to. We can’t wait to book again in the summer and make the most of the outdoor pool and walled garden! Thank you for an amazing stay.

What a stunning location , the view of the beach and harbour was wonderful . The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed , perfectly located for the shops and restaurant and beaches . Lovely walks , we didn’t use the car all week .very comfy beds ! !

Sunny Bank is an outstanding place to stay for a short or long break as it is remarkably well equipped with everything you require.

Immaculate throughout, extremely spacious making it easily accessible for disabled and wheelchair users .

Outside, the gardens are accessible, there are seating areas with extensive views across the countryside.

A hot tub to relax in the day or night ..just perfect.

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the
"Welcome Hamper" and Fresh goods milk ,juice eggs etc .

It was a good place, we had a good time and the owner was very communicative and very helpful.
We had issues with wifi not working during our stay, looks like it was an BT issue (BT were called and attended but couldn't rectify the issue). Which did rob us off some quality time in the evenings.
If not everything was really good.
I would recommend this place.

Hanna was the perfect host and helped us with anything we needed and was understanding when a few things happened (our toddler may have taken a remote back home with us🤦‍♀️) can’t recommend this place enough! Perfectly equipped apartment, tastefully decorated throughout with great views. Kitchen had everything we needed (though no cafetierre/French press). Very relaxing to sit in the lounge and look out to see. Loved walking down into the centre but also made some day trips further into Pembrokeshire. Will miss the sound of the owls hooting at night. Would love to book again.

Amazing huge house. Had a great time with all the family, rooms large enough for us all to sit together and the house was large enough for us all to have space. Kids and I really enjoyed the pool.

Spent 2 days there fabulous chalet containing everything you need with a fabulous view of the beach and sea ,self contained ,dogs allowed and hot tub and privacy and parking. I am not sure about wheelchair access you need to inquire but overall a great experience and only 15 miles from Tenby, loved it.

Wonderful stay in this beautiful house! The view from the house and the balcony is amazing. The house was clean and very well equiped. We really enjoyed the jaccuzi either by rain or sun. Nice places to visit around with children (Tenby, barafungle bay, carrew castle, laugharne castle, etc.). Everything. No issues with the property whatsoever, it’s just so nice and the hosts were so friendly and helpful as well. The welcome pack was very nice and much appreciated. It’s in such a quiet location, you could hear a pin drop when sitting outside.

We had a wonderful stay at Wildhaven. The cottage is beautifully situated with incredible views. The cottage itself is exceptionally well-equipped, comfortable, and spacious. Very dog-friendly. t's a perfect base for exploring the Black Mountains. We highly recommend it.

Lovely relaxing few days , everything that we needed . Only disappointment - I wish Id booked longer ! It was Mabel's (our 5 month old cockerpoo) first holiday and she had a safe enclosed patio to play in , and it was a short drive to new experiences on the beach! Would definitely book again :)

We have had a brilliant stay at Lloret. The property was spotlessly clean with everything we needed and more. Our stay was very nice to have some relaxing down time with family the weather was very kind to us although the forecast was poor the bungalow was very clean plenty of kitchen utensils for those who wish to cook fantastic views of the castle and estuary there are some very nice places to eat in the village. The only thing we couldn’t find was a mop as one day it had rained so you can mop the floor and it mentioned that there was a dryer in the utility?? One other thing as it took us over four hours to get from the Midlands we didn’t have a problem getting in at 4pm but we all thought to make sure we were packed and left the house as we found it 10am check out is a little early we didn’t even have time for breakfast before our long journey 12pm would have been more convenient and less stressful

I would highly recommend a stay at Gwalia house. My husband and I stayed here with our 2 sons and their partners during the Easter break. The house is beautiful throughout and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking, which worked well for us as a family. Location is also great. The house is exactly like the pictures and I would not hesitate to book this place again. Definitely worth a 5 star review.

Magnifique - spacieux, confortable, très bien équipé, très belle vue dégagée sur la campagne, très bonne situation pour visiter le sud du Pays de Galles !

La situation élevée (d'où la superbe vue) a une contrepartie : quand il y a du vent, ça souffle !!! (nous n'avons pas pu utiliser la spa.. dommage !) - mais ce n'est pas bien grave...

C'est vrai, comme le disent d'autres personnes les routes sont très étroites et il peut y a voir des engins agricoles... mais c'est juste comme presque partout dans la campagne britannique - donc pas un problème pour nous...

A lovely house, with fantastic gardens. Perfect place to stay and relax for a week with three generations of our family getting together. Minutes walk into town, plenty to do in the area and it’s such a nice place to stay you’ll be happy just staying in, even when it’s raining. If anything, it’s even nicer than it looks in the photos - though we were also lucky with the sunshine.

Communication was excellent, hosts were on hand and always helpful. Easy journey there, 4 hours from London. Great local trips to llansteffan, laugharne, pending.

We are a family of 5 and the house was definitely spacious enough for us. The views are breathtaking and the area is just so beautiful. We took time to enjoy the peace and the beautiful stars at night. The castle wonderful to see and the people were so welcoming and friendly. We would highly recommend.

Loved this place! Spotlessly clean and very homely - lots of lovely soft furnishings. Kitchen had everything we needed, bedrooms comfy and the hot tub was fantastic. Kids loved playing outside on their scooters. The view is beautiful and it’s nice and quiet. Def recommend.

Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit. Schon der Empfang mit einem Korb mit walisischen Lebensmitteln und Getränken im Kühlschrank war außergewöhnlich und sehr erfreulich. Der Kontakt zu den Gastgebern war sehr nett. Das Haus ist extrem sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet, es fehlt einfach nichts.

Das ganze Haus ist behindertengerecht gebaut, so auch die Badezimmer.

Alles ist wie auf den Bilder und sehr zu empfehlen.

Eine sehr gute Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage, mitten in der Natur mit toller Aussicht und ideal für viele Tagestouren.

Wir waren sechs Nächte dort und haben noch lange nicht alles gesehen.



Ein sehr schönes Haus für Entspannung und Ausflüge.

We had a lovely stay at the boathouse, it was clean and tidy. The pool was about a 1 minute walk from the cottage, it was lovely to have the pool to ourselves. The cottage is well away from the farm house, so it’s very private. Would definitely recommend.

The old school house is a beautiful unusual & spacious holiday home. It had everything we needed & is in a quiet location that allowed us to explore the local towns, castles & beaches easily. Travelling with a small child we loved finding the many games tucked away in various cupboards & especially enjoyed the welcome bottle of wine & cake!!

Better than expected. The cottage is in a such a lovely peaceful location, I only wish we could stay longer and not go back to the hustle and bustle back home. Everything about it is well thought out and the owners were extremely happy and friendly as well. I would highly recommend this if your visiting the area, from here there are several good places to visit not too far away in west Wales

One of our favourite places to stay ever. Everything about it was wonderful. The dining room was our favourite. Although a family holiday, eating our evening meal in such a room, we felt we need to dress up, such was the grandeur :0)

The Cors is really a very special place in the fabulous town of Laugharne. Close to two very good pubs, an excellent Thai restaurant and a good Deli. What makes the holiday is the house with its fabulous grounds. Clean ,well equipped, very generous welcome pack and responsive host. Highly recommended.

We loved everything of our stay. The house was very cosy and tastefully furnished and the bathrooms were superb. The kitchen was well equipped and nice were the wine in the fridge and the welsh shortbread as a surprise. Parking space was every day available in front of the door but best of all were the stunning views onto the castle and the river Taf. Pubs and shops were all within a very short walking distance. We really can recomand this cottage to everyone.

Perfect cottage in a very secluded location. Host was fantastic, recommended lots of places to go and was really helpful throughout our stay. The private pool was really great but it was the location that was really special so many great places to go. House is perfect for four plus a dog with everything you could possibly need. Was great having our own garden and having access to a big field too. Definitely need ten days next time, too much to see in seven!

A wonderful cottage which was beautifully furnished with everything you should need for a relaxing break away . Beds were so comfortable and was great that both bedrooms had en-suites . The lounge with the huge tv was lovely to relax in during the evening . Really convenient parking just opposite the cottage . A fantastic little place that we would highly recommend .

I've stayed in many places on the UK and this was by far the best weekend I've ever had. There's far too much to list that was good, it literally had everything and so much more!

There's absolutely nothing I could say that I didn't like about this accommodation.

I work in the private yacht industry so I am used to high standards, the old school house exceeded my expectations it was immaculately clean every detail was first class,the welcome hamper was such a lovely touch.
The area is so perfect for a family holiday the beaches,castles and countryside so much choice.

we had a lovely holiday at footprints beautiful clean and modern apartment everything we needed. close to beach and town .a little tricky to find to start but with a little help we found it .got to be one of the best places we have ever stayed at...the people were so friendly and the pubs and restaurants were superb fully recommend. just loved it ...🙂😊🏖😎

We often visit Laugharne and wood happily return to Min Yr Afon. Perfect location being walking distance to the castle, the beach, shops, restaurant and bars. Good sized accommodation for 4 people. Well equipped kitchen. Good sized bedrooms. thoughtfully looked after and well maintained.
