What a place the Great House is! We were two families with young kids and a dog and it was amazing, plenty of space for us all the kids loved exploring the different rooms at night with a torch!
The location was perfect with a short walk to Browns and the new pizza place, which is worth going to. We can’t wait to book again in the summer and make the most of the outdoor pool and walled garden! Thank you for an amazing stay.

We stayed at Sunny Bank over the school Easter holidays. Two adults and our children 6 and 3. Plenty of information was sent in advance making finding the accommodation easy. We arrived to find a beautiful hamper of Welsh products and a warm welcoming home. Sunny bank has all the amenities you could need plus the luxuries of gowns and towels for the hot tub. The home was immaculately clean and a perfect place to come back to after a day out exploring the Welsh countryside. Hazel and her family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, from popping in to show us how to work the hot tub to messaging to help me find a doctor for my daughter. She really makes every effort to ensure you have a wonderful time. Sunnybank is so peaceful and quiet, and if you enjoy the hot tub in the evenings it's a great spot to stargaze in the clear unpolluted skies.

A beautiful flat, very clean and with everything you need. Anne, the host, was very kind and always available when needed. We loved our stay, with a car you can easily visit both Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. We definitely recommend it. Thank you Anne.

Footprints is a fantastic apartment in a great location, short walk downhill into Saundersfoot, which is a gorgeous town. Apartment is spacious and really well presented with so many extra lovely touches. Large comfy bed. Communication with Sarah was excellent. We would like to return snd would definitely stay there again and recommend to others

Stayed in Great Welsh Escapes for two days and had a lovely time. The owner would message regularly asking if everything’s okay and the farm owner Richard on site was very helpful.

We had a really lovely stay here perfect base for us with a young family. We visited Saundersfoot and Tenby mainly. It was great to have a washing machine after beach days!

Firstly this place is just so amazing, stunning inside, very clean, really good communication, planty of space for our dog, and much more good things I definitely recommend this place and planning already to come back soon.

great open space. ideal for the grand kids to run around and play both indoors and outside in the gardens. it was great to have great grand parents, grand parents, parents, kids and the dog in one place. great family atmosphere and get together.

plates to big for microwave or microwave to small. 13.5 tog winter duvet's in summer were to hot and you were not able to change for lighter sheets.

Small but very well done, only surprise was just a microwave for cooking, no hob. But fine for breakfast! Milk in fridge on arrival plus Welsh cakes which was nice.

We recently stayed at Footprints in Saundersfoot. The apartment is fantastic and exactly what we were looking for as a base and a place to relax.

Saundersfoot is a lovely part of the Pembrokeshire coast and closer to Tenby and other local attractions than we thought.

The beach is beautiful, large and so peaceful out of season. It's very easy to get a coffee to accompany your walk and there were many locals to converse with.

There's a good chance we'll be back!

The property and grounds surpassed all expectations. Everything was spotless, the amenities are fantastic, including the hottub with outstanding views. The grounds are perfect for an explorative toddler with a lot of energy.
We cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back soon!
Great escapes were fantastic with communication prior to and during our stay and we would not hesitate to use them in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely comfortable, well equiped cottage. Everything was as described and the location was just what we were looking for, so peaceful. Would very much like to return again when back in the area.

The steep driveway and narrow lanes we walked a lot so coming back driveway was a struggle for the elder ones in the group could probably have done with a handrail along driveway wall but nothing really negative great property all round

Beautiful house, fantastic gardens. Jac was very responsive to the few queries we had.

The house is situated high on a hill overlooking beautiful farmland and the beach. It was so incredibly peaceful to sit on the veranda. The beds were very comfortable and the place was decorated beautifully. The cupboards were labelled and stocked with everything you could need for cooking a family meal.

The en-suite shower pressure wasn’t the strongest, but still nice and warm. We didn’t have fire wood for the wood burner, but didn’t need to use it because the weather was lovely! No complaints though! Would book again!

Holly and the team made us feel very welcomed. The coach house was a great base in the area with a lovely outlook from the garden for our family and two dogs. Easy access to the main road as well to get to the local beaches.

Once again we had a wonderful stay at the Great House in Laugharne.
The house is spectacular and so historic. It is situated very conveniently in a great location, near to pubs and restaurants in a beautiful village.

What a fantastic place and an amazing base to explore Pembrokeshire. We arrived in the most wonderful grounds of Upton Castle and were welcomed by our friendly hosts who gave us all the necessary information to make our stay easy. The grounds are picturesque and the house is quiet and peaceful. There is everything you need and nothing you don’t, so don’t expect ultra-fast broadband but do expect wonderful nights by the fire roasting marshmallows, playing games, and doing things ‘offline’. Within 15/20 mins you have amazing beaches like Barafundle and Coppet Hall, towns such as Tenby and Narberth, castles, shops, National Trust sites, and nature. A little further afield you have St Davids, Fishguard, Cardigan, and Scomer Island but all very accessible from this great location. Our whole family thought the 10 day break was amazing and we are itching to get back.

This was by far the best accommodation we have ever stayed at, clean throughout too the highest of standards, perfect location, very peaceful and the hot tub an added bonus, Hazel the host was lovely nothing was too much trouble, this bungalow deserves 10 stars, two very happy guests ☺

Cartrefle was all we expected and more. The log burners made it feel very cosy, large bedrooms and really comfortable beds were a real bonus. The attic room is a great space too, with en-suite bathroom and large TV. Great location, not too far from the beach and surrounded by beautiful countryside! Stayed for a week with my family over the summer. The Hidden Valley is beautiful - newly decorated, super comfy sofas and beds, kitchen fully equipped (they have thought of everything!), and the snug is a real bonus. It was fantastic to walk out of the bedroom door in the morning and enjoy the spectacular view. I'm a keen stargazer, and the dark skies were an absolute wonder. Got some great photos of the Milky Way and it was a real treat using my telescope. Location-wise, there are so many gorgeous beaches nearby (Tenby, Saundersfoot, Wisemans Bridge, Manorbier and Barafundle were our favourites), lots to do for the kids and for adults, and plenty of places to stock up on amenities just a short drive away. Loved every minute, thank you for a fantastic week!

We loved our stay! It was in a great location for exploring the local area. There is so much to see and do. We had a great break!
We had plenty of space and the accomodation has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The shower and bath were brilliant and the beds were very comfy!
Loved waking up to the horses in the field in the morning.
We appreciated the milk in the fridge!
We also had a delicious meal at the hotel right next door which was super convenient with 3 children!

We have just arrived home after a fabulous stay at Round Park. The house was so much more spacious than expected and was a fabulous base for exploring the beautiful clean beaches and pretty towns and villages. There was a lovely welcome gift of wine , tea & stoopwaffles. Everything was catered for with cooking equipment including brand new airfryers. The beds were clean & comfortable.Would definitely recommend & use again in the future.

Ideal place for those looking to get away from it all in a quiet, secluded spot but not too far from the local town/shops and a great base to drive to surrounding beauty spots and places of interest. Also great for dogs, with a large, private area for them to run around. We really enjoyed our time here and would return in future.

The best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in! The house was incredible, it had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated. The gardens were beautiful. We had 4 young children and a dog in our party and so had to keep a really close eye on them as the garden wasn’t fully enclosed and had a couple of ponds. This wasn’t a problem for us at all but other guests may be interested to know about this. Jac was a great host, he responded to messages very quickly and gave us lots of tips about the area etc. The location is great, the village is lovely and a short drive to beautiful beaches. We are looking forward to going back!

A really nice, well presented property. Spotlessly clean, with all amenities provided. Wonderful shower will plenty of hot water. Nice, fully enclosed courtyard garden which our dogs made full use of. The surrounding countryside and beach is perfect The owners were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Hazel really does go above and beyond, we stayed for a romantic weekend and the house is so quiet and serene and peaceful. Hazel popped round on our arrival to show us everything and talk us through the local things to see and do, really super helpful. The hot tub is simple to use, the surroundings are beautiful, clear sky for sunset in the horizon as well as completely clear starry nights.

100% couldn’t recommend this place more, well defo becoming back!

Un bel endroit pour des vacances loin de la canicule de notre sud ouest français.

The Cottage was stunning and in a fantastic location. Mostly everything you needed was there even bath towels. The rooms were lovely and well presented. The place was welcoming and clean and the view over the river/estury was amazing. Such a peaceful location ideal for families right next to the town, walks, pubs, restaurants, shop, castle and the Dylan Thomas boathouse. Parking is limited around so the 6 car driveway was useful. Communication was excelkent too. We would really recommend.

A totally beautiful barn conversion that thought of every possible thing that any guest could possibly want. Stunning!
It was slightly more remote than we had anticipated which didn’t really worry us but it may do for some guests.

Bath water not as hot as we would have liked.

We had a great stay at the cottage. It was even more lovely than the photo's. There was lots of space and it worked well for two couples. The living room was so cosy especially with the fire going, great garden for doggie too. Very handy to have a Co-op a short drive down the road and a bonus that it's open till 10pm. If you're planning on eating out for dinner at any local pubs it's probably best to book in advance especially if you're taking doggie. That said we had a great meal at the Savoy Country Inn which is a 15 minute drive away. I'd definitely stay at Maesteg Cottage again :0)

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Sunny Bank, an idyllic and private with every single thing you can imagine. We were provided with a full tea service and dinner set, basics for breakfast, bathrobes and towels for the stay as well as towels for the hot tub. I honestly think every possible amenity was thought about and provided. The cottage is on a family farm and you have complete privacy, esp in the hot tub which made the stay perfect for us.
The owners live down the road and when we told them the engine light had come on, on the car, and we needed to find a garage they came over and sorted the car, we needed oil but they also added screen wash and coolent and gave further advice. They went above and beyond.
You also don't have to worry about the hot tub, they come and treat it for you daily.

Lovely warm, modern top floor apartment. Tastefully decorated with little accessories, made it feel restful and peaceful. Beautiful view from the comfortable lounge window across the bay. The kitchen had every gadget you may want to use to cook or serve food. We used the fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

Our navigation app took us to the wrong side of the main road, so we had to make contact for directions on arrival. Easy parking at the complex. Well sited in walking distance of the beaches and town centre.

Wandered if you could adapt the sitting room to a dinning room and use more lounge space where dinning able is. Releasing this for a lounge area means you could use the upstairs lounge as an extra bedroom.

My little family and I had a wonderful 5-nights stay in Pendine. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we could need! Despite the weather being absolutely awful for 4 out of the 5 days, we still had a fab time :) views are unbelievable looking out over the seafront, highly recommend Great Welsh Escapes :)

Perfect cottage in a very secluded location. Host was fantastic, recommended lots of places to go and was really helpful throughout our stay. The private pool was really great but it was the location that was really special so many great places to go. House is perfect for four plus a dog with everything you could possibly need. Was great having our own garden and having access to a big field too. Definitely need ten days next time, too much to see in seven!

WOW! This property was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are incredible. The house itself is furnished beautifully, amazing artwork and a mix of modern and an older feel! The property is so quirky, you really won’t find anywhere else like this. Jac was amazing throughout the booking process and whilst at the property too. He even got 50 balloons and a bottle of bubbly for my mum when I said we were coming for her birthday, so kind! Our dog Alfie loved the garden. The fact that this dog friendly makes it even better! Everything about this property is brilliant, I miss it already!

Well what can I say! This accommodation went above and beyond our expectations completely, it is an absolutely stunning property equipped with everything you need to enjoy your holiday! It is also completely disabled friendly which is a lovely touch of inclusivity. We would 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in the area. The owners are such kind people also ( The hamper your greeted with is a beautiful touch also ). Super comfy seating areas and beds, lots of cupboards and wardrobes for storing your holiday essentials and the kitchen is completely fully equipped with everything you could possibly need! Our kids LOVED this holiday aswell as me and my husband, we can't say thankyou enough honestly! 5 stars from us 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A fantastic short break. The photos of the property do not do it justice. Close to Tenby town and the beaches. A well equipped kitchen - home from home. Would certainly book to stay here again.

Great base for exploring Pembrokeshire. Lovely views and apartment is exactly as described. It is properly equipped too! Views are magnificent, and it is close to all local amenities. I can recommend the Springwell Inn and The Coffee Shop for a visit… The beach is lovely, dog-friendly but very clean. It is a long stroll to the sea when the tide is out! Would definitely come again!

The pictures don't do it justice...we were in town for the laugharne festival... watching the light change on the sea and the tides come and go was very peaceful between gigs.
It was a breeze on the bus from Carmarthen train station...lots of lovely walks and places to eat on the doorstep.

Would stay again. The Owner of the house (Ros) was extremely helpful! We had a few issues with the hot water going down, but Ros got someone out straight away the it was fixed with hours! She couldn't do enough for us, would love to stay again.

Excellent location (right on the harbour and near the town centre, but not noisy). Not a 'luxurious' accommodation, if that's what you're after, but perfect for a beach side holiday - practical, clean, cosy, well equipped. Lots to do, right on your doorstep, including an excellent Italian restaurant! We were very happy with our holiday there.

What a lovely house. The living room was very spacious, light and airy thanks to the double aspect windows and huge front window with view over the local area.
There was so much space, it was a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Very quiet and close enough to the town to walk.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and the towels and linen were very high quality. The bedroom is a lovely size and the open plan kitchen/lounge is just perfect for a few days’ R&R. It had everything you could need for a relaxing stay and we were very impressed. The rainfall shower was a wonderful addition.
The cottage is on a main road which was a little noisy at times but only because we’re not used to traffic. There is only a double bed as well which, again, we’re not used to but everything else was just perfect.

Lack of parking at property could have been an issue but we had no problems parking in the small, nearby carpark.

Lovely peaceful place, just what we wanted to rest and recuperate. Beautiful walks we enjoyed with our dog. Easy to get to the Welsh coast for nice days out. Sitting near the fireplace with a warm fire was a treat. Cute cottage with character, with lovely private outdoor space.

Excellent location for us, we needed to be able to walk into Carmarthen but wanted a countryside place to stay. The walk into Carmarthen took 30 mins. It was easy to get supplies from marks and Spencer’s and take them back. Sometimes we also used excellent and readily available cab services. The location felt isolated but we knew owners were nearby so felt very safe if anything went wrong. Very stylish high spec decoration, esp. for a dog friendly space. Enjoyed hot tub. Loved goats and chickens.

I work in the private yacht industry so I am used to high standards, the old school house exceeded my expectations it was immaculately clean every detail was first class,the welcome hamper was such a lovely touch.
The area is so perfect for a family holiday the beaches,castles and countryside so much choice.

Perfectly equipped apartment, tastefully decorated throughout with great views. Kitchen had everything we needed (though no cafetierre/French press). Very relaxing to sit in the lounge and look out to see. Loved walking down into the centre but also made some day trips further into Pembrokeshire. Will miss the sound of the owls hooting at night. Would love to book again.

we stayed at the property for our honeymoon and could not believe how beautiful and remote it was. the closest villages and towns are a 20 minute drive in any direction, the views are stunning and the space feels cozy and like home.

Really enjoyed staying at tranquil house by the lake. Very cosy and well maintained, it was a great place to unwind for few days. didn't use the pool but having the sauna available during the winter was nice. Communication from Jess was great and spoke to the owner on site who was very friendly also. The Boathouse would be even better in the summer to be able to sit out and watch ducks swim around.

We had a fantastic week in Laugharne at Gwalia House. The accommodation was fantastic, spotlessly clean and exactly as described and was perfectly located to enjoy all the Laugharne and the surrounding area has to offer. Laugharne itself is gorgeous and such a friendly place, we especially liked Poon over the road! The hosts (Great Welsh Escape) were very communicative and even responded to questions on bank holiday! We loved Gwalia House and definitely hope to be back.

Gwalia House is beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. Laugharne is a fascinating village with a stunning castle, the Dylan Thomas museum, and the coastal path all on your doorstep. There are shops, pubs and places to eat within walking distance and great beaches a short drive away. Great Welsh Estates were so helpful and posted us some things we'd left behind. Highly recommended.

The Cors is an absolute gem! The house itself is remarkable. Not only is it incredibly spacious, but it's also equipped with an array of amenities that made our stay truly exceptional. The interior is both child-friendly and adult-friendly, offering something for everyone.

Jac, our wonderful host. He ensured that every detail was perfect, making our stay seamless and enjoyable. His excellent communication and warm, friendly manner added an extra layer of comfort to our experience.

Absolutely superb. Charlotte didn’t miss a detail and I was just in awe of her thoughtfulness towards our whole family, with stashes of toys hidden throughout the barn. The woodland and farm are as beautiful as the barn with ingenious play ideas throughout; we needn’t have gone any further all week! But it is an ideal spot to venture out to Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. We were a family, but it would be a wonderful couple’s getaway too.

Stayed at the most beautiful place in Laugharne. The view was spectacular. Good communication throughout from Great Welsh Escapes.

We had a wonderful stay at Creek Cottage. Such a peaceful and tranquil place in beautiful surroundings. Close enough to the castle grounds to explore them but far enough away to be in your own space with no one else around.
The house was lovely, full of character, very comfortable and had all we needed. Set in its own woodland to explore and we woke to birdsong, lambs and other livestock in nearby fields. We got the Rayburn range going pretty easily and used it to cook several meals as well as adding some warmth after the sun went down.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Only 10 minutes from Carew Castle which we visited on Sunday morning followed by a lovely Sunday lunch at the Carew Inn opposite.

This is a lovely cottage in the grounds of a castle. A real escape from the modern world. A perfect place to holiday with our 8-month old daughter. We had early morning walks in the castle grounds and cozy evenings in with the fires lit. Internet was only capable of handling messages, but that added to the experience in our opinion. A few cobwebs could be cleared up, but otherwise clean and the beds were very comfy.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Brofallen week.
The bungalows position is first class giving extremely beautiful views. Simply put in total it's a must come back situation. If there is a down side it would appear the time goes quicker staying here..

Magnifique - spacieux, confortable, très bien équipé, très belle vue dégagée sur la campagne, très bonne situation pour visiter le sud du Pays de Galles !

La situation élevée (d'où la superbe vue) a une contrepartie : quand il y a du vent, ça souffle !!! (nous n'avons pas pu utiliser la spa.. dommage !) - mais ce n'est pas bien grave...

C'est vrai, comme le disent d'autres personnes les routes sont très étroites et il peut y a voir des engins agricoles... mais c'est juste comme presque partout dans la campagne britannique - donc pas un problème pour nous...

Great cottage with everything you need for a great time amazing for the value of money and great comfort just like being at home but better loved every part of the holiday and lovely owners greeting us as soon as we got there and checking to make sure we had everything we needed 😁

Our second stay in Round Park and we will definitely be back again! Everything we needed for 8 of plus dog. Having the annex too, was great! Thanks Michelle, Jac and all the Great Welsh Escapes team.😃

Had a super stay at the Barn and Chaffhouse in Castlemartin. It was ideally located for glorious beaches and scenery. Very well appointed and great hosts. Would recommend a stay here anytime.

A beautifully appointed, comfortable home to stay in. Stunning views and everything you need nearby. We stayed in November and enjoyed some snow. The dogs loved the beach at Pendine.

We loved our short stay at the Great House, what a house. The children particularly enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and we all loved the snug and kitchen for being together. A perfect stay - we will definitely be back.
