About Great Welsh Escapes

We were in Laugharne for five nights in May and enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The location is great: right across from the castle, with a café next door and a convenience store just around the corner.
The view from the living room was my highlight - perfect for castle enthusiasts! Lots of walking trails around and the area is full of birds!
It was helpful having two showers, and the small garden was a nice spot to sit out during warm evenings. The internet connection was reliable, even when two of us had to work remotely. The hosts were quick to respond and gave clear instructions.
We'd stay here again if we are in the area.

An absolutely perfect home to enjoy! Every little detail is catered for. It was the most amazing weekend with extended family celebrating a special birthday. So glad we found it. All contact has been perfect too… no question too silly! I am so impressed I want to tell everyone!! Perfect!! Thank you ☺️

A beautifully appointed, comfortable home to stay in. Stunning views and everything you need nearby. We stayed in November and enjoyed some snow. The dogs loved the beach at Pendine.

Lovely, peaceful location and light, airy and spacious space. The hot tub was a definite plus!

Had a lovely stay, the team at Great Welsh Escapes were always there and proactive in reaching out. They also messaged to check we had found everything OK.

Cottage was beautiful and well-equipped. Lovely village location. Parking was not always possible right outside the cottage but within a couple of minutes walk (literature in the cottage shared suggested parking locations).

We didn’t use the garden but it could do with a bit of tidying up … will be lovely if/when that is done though.

Would very much recommend this cottage as a beautiful, relaxing base for the area. A home from home.

Had a fantastic stay at Malt House Farm.
Booked for a birthday get away for a group of friends. The property was perfect and Great Welsh Escapes were friendly and helpful in all contact.

Stunning place, great views and comfy house. The pool is massive. Kids loved it at most.

We had a greta time here. The castle is viewable from the window and the location is great. Pendine Sands is a great little beach!

Incredibly spacious. Very modern. Immaculate. Great value! The hosts made us feel very welcome. The location is so peaceful and very quiet. We would highly recommend staying. In a beautiful location too!!!

Nothing it was perfect

We liked that the owners had clearly thought of everything. There was so much to hand, equipment wise and lots of home comforts. We took our own tea and coffee for instance but there was a great selection already there also plenty of condimentswhich we didn't expect. Footsteps is a very clean and modern apartment but still felt cosy. The bed was very comfortable and noticed when stripping the bed a think mattress topper was in place. Bliss! There is a lovely view of the sea from the living/ kitchen area. The location is perfect too, just a short downhill walk into Saundersfoot and about a forty minute walk into Tenby. We sat and watched TV one night and it felt like being at home.

We wished we could have stayed longer!

Great location for everything, cottage was perfect and modern.Much prefer the key safe for entry, can't be doing wth all that meet and greet stuff, thank you.

A beautiful house In a lovely quiet village. We always go away for a summer family week with our grown up kids and their partners and this house was big enough for them to all have their space and a kitchen and outdoor space for us to come together for big family meals .we had poor weather and there upstairs starting area was good for film night The enclosed garden was good for our two dogs.

Absolutely beautiful property. Very comfortable furnishings and beds. Wonderful little touches. We went near Christmas and the decorations were gorgeous. Spotlessly clean. The fact it was dog friendly was a massive bonus for us and we all loved the nearby beaches and walks. Great cafe next door. Highly recommend.

Balmoral us an excellent holiday property situated in Pendine with its lovely sandy beaches.
The owners are so welcoming and will do anything to make your holiday go well.

Lovely rustic house, amazing fireplace. great large garden plenty of room for large family, the house is in a good location ,(car a must ), to be able to go to Lovely beaches, within 15 minute's drive . Pendine beach 25 minute's drive fantastic beach Nice pubs ,restaurants all within 15 minute's drive .

A fabulous house. Lovely views over countryside in the back garden. The location is excellent you can get everywhere in the area very easily. We were family of 6 and everything worked so well. The weather was on our side and the beaches and facilities were amazing. Coppett Hall our favourite beach. Would book again.

We had a lovely 4 night stay and the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding areas. The house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. If we ever return to this part of Wales, we will look to book the same place.

Location and the property was very nice and we liked the courtyard area the garden was very pretty.

The road outside the house was very busy, we come frome a quiet location and we did notice the traffic coming past.

The apartment was very well equipped. Every small detail/need had been thought of. It was very comfortable & homely. Parking & security entrance was good. Sarah the host was excellent in checking everything was ok when we arrived. We ate in most evenings as the kitchen was so well equipped & the lighting was perfect & like home from home. Cannot recommend highs enough

Ein wunderschönes Haus auf einer Ebene zwischen dem Meer und dem Nationalpark. Alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Das Fenster im Wohnzimmer ist der Hammer. Der Garten ist nicht zu 100% eingezäunt, aber mit etwas Fantasie kann man ihn "Hundeausbruchsicher" machen.

An absolutely emaculate property nestled away in a perfect location. This is the second time we visited and it's just as beautiful and perfect as the first time we stayed!

We had a fantastic stay at Wildhaven - the remote location was exactly the break we needed.
The house is as lovely as the pictures, well equipped and extremely peaceful.
The weather wasn’t great the week we stayed but it didn’t matter! We had one clear night and the blanket of stars in the sky was magical. The WiFi was good and phone reception ok. We’d recommend staying!

The bungalow was both beautiful and tranquil, providing an exceptional experience. The beds were notably comfortable, and the entire space maintained a high standard of cleanliness. Overall, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable.

Property is in a delightful position and contains everything we needed for a lovely holiday stay.

We had such an amazing stay. The house is even better in real life and the kitchen is set up so well that cooking is a real pleasure. Any glitches were sorted immediately and everyone we met in Laugherne was so friendly (especially in Poon’s) - it was great being able to walk to get food/coffee etc. The pool was a perfect temperature and when the sun was out it felt like we were in Italy. Comfortable beds, incredible bathrooms and a cosy snug for when it rained. Perfect.

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful and peaceful and lovely to be among the farm. Swimming pool and Sauna were excellent. The boathouse was lovely and cosy. Just great.

We had a lovely stay - in particular we enjoyed the excellent living space/kitchen and outside area. Our baby especially loved playing on the big living room rug.

The surrounding area is amazing and the property is very well located for access to beaches, Tenby, Pembroke, Bosherston, Stackpole etc. The only thing was the proximity to the MOD area, which we were prepared for, but I think they were perhaps doing extra tank and machine gun practice during our stay. It can be a little disconcerting having your evening meal peppered with the sound of tank and machine gun fire. I understand this wouldn’t be a problem during the summer school holidays or weekend though.

We loved going to the different beaches etc. and we also had some lovely meals out - including at the fabulous Paternoster Farm which is only round the corner (must book in advance).

Absolutely beautiful cottage with everything you could need. We were the first guests to stay there and we absolutely loved it. We loved the garden and the horses in the field behind. The bed in the back room is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. We are already looking to book our next two breaks. The welcome pack was a really nice touch as well. Chocolate wine and even treats for the dog it was so kind. Thank you for making our break perfect.

It's a nice sized, comfortable house with good facilities. Quiet but in walking distance of Tenby.

Very Beautiful home located right next the beach! Friendly locals and home was perfectly spacious and accommodating for our family of 8 and our pet.
Interior aesthetic was stunning also, the home has clearly been thoughtfully designed- the kitchen being a particular family favourite!
Communication was swift and Check in likewise. I have recommended this home to family and friends and would more than happily stay at Llas Y Mor again.

Another lovely break at this gorgeous cottage! Perfect place for a quiet, relaxing get away! The cottage is very cosy and comfortable and has everything you need. Highly recommend.

fantastic house and host. 10 min walk down to beaches and town with bars and restaurants.

A lovely, modern cottage right in the heart of Laugharne, Chapel View is a good size for two, with a patio garden that is a real sun trap in the morning. Luckily we had great weather so didn’t spend that much time indoors but for those not so fortunate the cottage is a very nice place to be. Easy to book through Great Welsh Escapes who provide plenty of support and who attended to a minor issue we had speedily and efficiently.

A great location - as with every small town, parking can be an issue - we were out of season so local car park was ok.
Beware of the coastal path to Saundersfoot if it has been raining for a few months (we stayed in March) as it is really no longer a path, more of a water and mud assault course :-)
Tenby is Tenby - a fishing/seaside town town that seems to be able to hold its own well - enough locally to keep most folk happy - and locals seemed genuinely friendly

I would encourage anyone wanting to visit the area to stay at this property.great welsh escapes were extremely helpful on the rare occasions I had to make contact with them. thank you for your assistance in making my family break memorable.

What a beautiful spot on earth! After being away from Wales for 8 years, we were looking for a special place to return...and "The Lookout at Goscar" absolutely delivered...spectacular views over the harbour and North Beach...comfortable beds, nice kitchen...situated in the middle of town a stone throw away from the beach.
Tenby is such a beautiful place, with lonely mornings at spectacular beaches, boat tours to see Seals and busy pub live and sweets shops for the little ones.
All in all we had perfect holidays with our little daughter...we will be back!

It was very nice stay for us (two couples), felt like living in a farm house — just what we wanted! Highly recommend this place for quiet unity with nature.

The property at Frogmore was immaculate and everything seemed new. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Frogmore and Laugharne.

This was a beautiful hidden gem, that simply didn’t disappoint. Not only did it feel like a home from home, but after such a relaxing weekend, we didn’t want to leave.

This was an excellent house to stay in. Everything was very comfortable and was exactly like the pictures. We used it as a base to visit plenty of castles and go for walks around Carmarthenshire. As others have mentioned, taller people may hit the light fixture at the corner of the bed. Otherwise though, we would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay!! The house was so well stocked and had everything we needed. The views are amazing and the hot tub really helped us all to relax. Would definitely stay again!!

We enjoyed a lovely week at this beautiful cottage! Plenty of space for kids and dog both inside and outside. It was just a short drive to Freshwater West beach for awesome sand, surfing and rock pools. Would definitely recommend for a family holiday.

The house was amazing we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My daughter loved the Jacuzzi, myself and my wife love cooking so the kitchen was without doubt perfect and as a family entertainment wise the TV was perfect to relax chill and enjoy a few Xmas movies. I would definitely be back again !

The Cottage, Laugharne.
The house was absolutely perfect for us (11 of us), loads of room for us all and the dog.
The uninterrupted views of the estuary, from the garden and bedrooms, were amazing. The house was 5*.

Laugharne is a great place to holiday, the village itself having pubs, restaurants and tea rooms with loads to do within a short distance.

Everything was perfect, fully stocked kitchen even down to tea coffee and sugar plus a welcome hamper! the games room was a great addition perfect for the kids! ..and us 😆. Hot tub was brilliant! would love to go back again!!

We had a lovely weekend in Saundersfoot, and found the property within walking distance of everything we wanted, though the hill was a bit tough but good for us!
The house was clean and comfortable with good facilities. The beds were especially comfortable, I slept so well!

We have stayed in these apartments quite a few times. Why? Great location and easy to reach other locations. Very well maintained apartments, Cliff Haven is no exception. I would recommend it.

We had a wonderful time in this lovely bungalow. It was so welcoming when we arrived and we enjoyed the gifts that where left for us.
It had everything we needed and more and can't recommend this place enough. So spacious yet cosy and the hot tub was a real treat.
Hazel and Hugh were very welcoming and came to check we had settled in ok. We really had the best time and look forward to another trip there again sometime.

It was a cosy cabin,did barbeque and bonfire,Really quiet and remote to be in nature and do star gazing at night,close by beaches so good location.
Also had a fireplace and equipped kitchen with two beds and baths.

It was a good place, we had a good time and the owner was very communicative and very helpful.
We had issues with wifi not working during our stay, looks like it was an BT issue (BT were called and attended but couldn't rectify the issue). Which did rob us off some quality time in the evenings.
If not everything was really good.
I would recommend this place.

This house is magnificent. We had a fanatic joint 30th here and enjoyed every second. The house is so much bigger than we had anticipated, it’s huge! The heated pool was the cherry on the cake. We’d definitely come back here again - thanks so much.

Clean modern flat with a great view. Under floor heating. comfortable bedrooms. Everything you need in the kitchen and living room areas. Allocated parking at the property.
The location is up a hill and it's dark at night so I recommend you bring a torch if you're walking at night or coming by public transport.

Perfect cottage in a very secluded location. Host was fantastic, recommended lots of places to go and was really helpful throughout our stay. The private pool was really great but it was the location that was really special so many great places to go. House is perfect for four plus a dog with everything you could possibly need. Was great having our own garden and having access to a big field too. Definitely need ten days next time, too much to see in seven!

Lovely property, suited our stay of four adults perfectly.
One of our guests is around 6 3" and found himself hitting the light fittings as they are all quite low hanging!!
It was very cosy for an autumn break.

Wildhaven is a wonderful place to pause and reset. This was our second stay, and hopefully not our last! It really feels like it's in the heart of the Beacons National Park with nothing around by sheep, beautiful scenery, and wild horses. I can't recommend it enough.

We had a couple of hiccups with the house, but the hosts communicated well and they were resolved efficiently.

Our second time at a Great Welsh Escape’s property. Had a lovely time in a beautiful recently refurbished barn.

Our dog also loved the enclosed garden that wrapped around the property.

There a is a beautiful beach 5min down the road, got in a few good walks even in February. Can imaging in summer it would be a daily trip.

A really nice, well presented property. Spotlessly clean, with all amenities provided. Wonderful shower will plenty of hot water. Nice, fully enclosed courtyard garden which our dogs made full use of. The surrounding countryside and beach is perfect The owners were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. All in all, a very nice and comfortable stay. Thank you.

The property and grounds surpassed all expectations. Everything was spotless, the amenities are fantastic, including the hottub with outstanding views. The grounds are perfect for an explorative toddler with a lot of energy.
We cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back soon!

Everything thing was great....amazing views over the castle and the river Taff.
Even on a wet February morning the views where worth the money.
The whole property was clean and very modern.
The village is very close with all amenities BUT please try Ty Glo....this eatery was one of the highlights.....a jewel that's hidden from sight.

Chapel view is a lovely cottage, super clean and comfortable. Easy parking outside the cottage and within walking distant to shops and places to eat. If you want to stay in and cook the cottage has everything you need.

We really couldn't fault a single thing.

Our little dog really liked running around the garden too.

My little family and I had a wonderful 5-nights stay in Pendine. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we could need! Despite the weather being absolutely awful for 4 out of the 5 days, we still had a fab time :) views are unbelievable looking out over the seafront, highly recommend Great Welsh Escapes :)

Nice apartment very close to beach just up the hill. Sea views and well appointed inside.
Parking space was a real bonus for evening visits to town avoided having to pay for parking in town.

Wonderful, relaxing stay and the house had everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable with lovely quality linen.
