About Great Welsh Escapes

The bungalow is in a beautiful location with stunning views of Laugharne. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable short break. The bungalow was immaculate inside and the addition of a hot tub was a real luxury.
We met the owner who was extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

We had a lovely stay in Pendine, the apartment was clean and well kept plus the view over the beach was amazing. Only 15 mins walk to the local amenities and 20min drive to Saundersfoot and 25 mins to Tenby. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful. Fabulous kitchen and outdoor space. Very comfy beds and excellent showers.
My only slight criticism is the lounge sitting area isn’t very comfy. Thankfully we were only 2 people but would have struggled with 4/6.

Our stay at The Cors Country house for the second time was amazing. From the initial booking experience through to checking out, Jac made regular contact to ensure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful welcome pack including teabags, welsh cakes prosecco & more!
The house is stunning and well equipped including a newly appointed office space with a view to die for and a fantastic modern cinema room that comfortably sat 9 of us. The bar has a stunning botanical wall decoration which lit up to accompany the pool table and gorgeous velvet seating area.
The final beauty of this grand property was its 2.5 acre garden with an array of places to sit and take in the stunning scenery.
Hopefully we'll be back to enjoy this beautiful place again!

There was nothing everything was perfect

We had a wonderful stay, the house was great and provided a comfy and cozy base to explore West Wales from.

Our stay at Chapel View in Laugharne, Carmarthen was excellent. The cottage is ideal for two and decorated in modern style and comfort. It is well located in the centre of the upper town and is secure and quiet thanks to double glazing. We really enjoyed Laugharne and the surrounding area.

Wow, the most bautiful place and perfecto. I highly recomend this place for anyone who wants to explore South Wales. The Old School is bautiful inside and out. We cannot wait to back to the UK and stay here again. 5 stars

Excellent cottage with great walking options right from the doorstep. Remote setting in stunning scenery makes this a fantastic choice for a Welsh get-away.

The weeks break at the barn conversion was 1st class. The accommodation is excellent and the surrounding area stunning - Charlotte and Jerry were wonderful hosts and can’t do enough for you.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Perfect for our birthday celebration and the three generations who attended. We had everything we needed and more.

Really well equipped home (aside from no dishcloths or washing up sponges) with everything you could need - we managed to cook a full roast dinner.
Plenty of space with 2 bathrooms serving the 4 bedrooms.
The living areas were ideal for 2 families with 4 teenage children between them. Kitchen with sitting area and log burner was cosy and a great space.
Utility room was great for the dog and table tennis in the garage kept the teens entertained (Even if it was a bit nippy)
Overall the house was clean. Good sized bath towels (sheets rather than standard towel size) but bath mats would have been a welcome addition. Bedding was comfy.
Fabulous welcome pack and Christmas tree made a warm welcome and we had a great break over the new year.

The views of the harbour from the bay window are absolutely stunning and there is plenty going on in the sea to keep you entertained. We only wish we'd thought to bring binoculars! The apartment is very comfortable with great beds and both a shower and bath and the location is close to all amenities. There is a large lift. In the summer you can only drop off luggage after 5.30 pm due to traffic restrictions.

The enclosed garden was great. Our dogs really enjoyed running around. Plenty of parking spaces. Room for 3 cars. The verandas were fab. Plenty of room on both verandas. The property was large enough for plenty of people and very cosy. The 2 bathrooms were a bonus.

The only downside was the little bit of road going to the property was quite bumpy and the cold water tap wasn’t working in the main bathroom shower but could be easily rectified.

We really loved our stay in the Old Schoolhouse, it was bursting with charm and full of amenities. Would happily stay again.

We loved our short stay at the Great House, what a house. The children particularly enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and we all loved the snug and kitchen for being together. A perfect stay - we will definitely be back.

Lovely cottage with all modern comforts incl.uding dishwasher and smart TV. Felt right at home as soon as we arrived.
The cottage is recently built but in keeping with the period cottages and houses of King Street, Laugharne. Beautiful peaceful area with good shops and pubs and restaurants. Even has its own castle. Plenty to see; TV series "Keeping Faith" was filmed there and writer/poet Dylan Thomas lived there.

The house was beautiful and clean. The kitchen was amazing and fully furnished which was great for families to get together. The house was very secluded and private but you need a car as nothing really walking distance that is open in February.

Well what can I say! This accommodation went above and beyond our expectations completely, it is an absolutely stunning property equipped with everything you need to enjoy your holiday! It is also completely disabled friendly which is a lovely touch of inclusivity. We would 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in the area. The owners are such kind people also ( The hamper your greeted with is a beautiful touch also ). Super comfy seating areas and beds, lots of cupboards and wardrobes for storing your holiday essentials and the kitchen is completely fully equipped with everything you could possibly need! Our kids LOVED this holiday aswell as me and my husband, we can't say thankyou enough honestly! 5 stars from us 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A fantastic short break. The photos of the property do not do it justice. Close to Tenby town and the beaches. A well equipped kitchen - home from home. Would certainly book to stay here again.

A fabulous house. Lovely views over countryside in the back garden. The location is excellent you can get everywhere in the area very easily. We were family of 6 and everything worked so well. The weather was on our side and the beaches and facilities were amazing. Coppett Hall our favourite beach. Would book again.

The Boathouse is a super cottage with stunning surroundings, at the back of a farm, right by a gorgeous pond with ducks.

We came back today stayed 5 nights over Christmas. Myself, wife and our golden doodle Alfie. Views are amazing short 5 mins drive to Laugharne and 10 minutes to pendine. Super private and we were not bothered at all during our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was lovely and it is clear that it is a very well looked after home. It’s easy to find and we had such a lovely time and were very comfortable. We appreciated everything and the host is a very nice lady who was a joy to speak to.

Very warm and cosy. spotlessly clean and very well equipped. the bathroom door to the ensuite needs some attention as its very difficult to operate. someone else mentioned a smell of damp downstairs and we did notice this too although a quick blast of opening the downstairs patio doors helped a lot. we would absolutely stay again.

The only minor point was I found the bed very hot

Situated by a working farm, it is very quiet and peaceful. Hardly noticed the farm workings. It is on MOD land, thus you feel very safe as access to the area is very controlled. From 16.00 you can go to the beach, when we were their it was ourselves and four others. The accommodation is very spacious and spotless, although the internet is patchy.
For a quiet unwind this place is absolutely ideal.
For a great meal head to the Jabajak vineyard.

Sea Gem is truly a gem. The views from the kitchen are absolutely stunning and for our purposes the home was the perfect companion. We had a lot of fun figuring out how to work a UK washer/dryer! All of the rooms were comfortable and as described.

The neighborhood itself was also a gem; quiet and friendly. Loved waving to our neighbors as we were walking up/down the hill for our Tenby excursions.

Wales itself was a beautiful experience, we hope to come back soon.

The Cors is really a very special place in the fabulous town of Laugharne. Close to two very good pubs, an excellent Thai restaurant and a good Deli. What makes the holiday is the house with its fabulous grounds. Clean ,well equipped, very generous welcome pack and responsive host. Highly recommended.

Ein wunderschönes Haus auf einer Ebene zwischen dem Meer und dem Nationalpark. Alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Das Fenster im Wohnzimmer ist der Hammer. Der Garten ist nicht zu 100% eingezäunt, aber mit etwas Fantasie kann man ihn "Hundeausbruchsicher" machen.

We had a wonderful stay at Coedllys Cottage from 25th–27th August 2025. The cottage is delightfully, spotlessly clean, and set in a stunning countryside location with fantastic walking straight from the door. The swim spa and sauna were a real highlight and perfect for relaxing tired muscles after long walks. It’s also ideally located for easy access to beautiful scenic beaches and towns. The cottage is very well equipped and provided everything we needed for a peaceful, comfortable. The host was extremely helpful and welcoming, making the whole stay effortless. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

The apartment was exactly as described in the listing and perfect accommodation for my wife and I plus our young toddler. Comms and instructions from our host were great, with lots of clear info on the place and the surrounding area.

Sunnybank is to be highly recommended, Hazel was an amazing host & left us a beautiful welcome basket of goodies, it was much appreciated. Location is great, just what we wanted, nice & peaceful & the hot tub was very welcome after a long day exploring. Bed was so comfortable & the accessible shower & handrails were much appreciated by my husband.

It was a lovely bungalow. Everything which was needed to feel at home was present. All of the things for use were very high quality 👌. There was also a gift pack for us. Bottle of Milk Juice and wine was also given.

Was amazing place to stay. I have booked my parents in to the same place in a couple of weeks. Views were amazing, the apartment was clean, very well equipped and also the little touches of the shortbread & prosecco was so kind

My little family had the most enjoyable stay. Location was amazing, walking distance to the town, bars, restaurants, lovely walks and the beach. View from the apartment is what we will most remember, watching the waves and the people coming and going. Apartment was comfortable and clean, plenty of space for a family of 3. Photos don’t really do it justice. Would definitely return.

Wildhaven was the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. The views were absolutely stunning and the cottage was large and beautifully furnished. The beds were really comfortable and each bathroom luxurious. The garden was large, fenced, but sadly not secure enough for a determined Cocker Spaniel. It's isolation meant the only sounds were the mountain sheep and the early morning wake up call from the local crows. Our host, Jess was regularly in contact which was so helpful. Our week at Wildhaven has had such a positive impact on us that we will be back next year.

Laugharne is a fascinating little town with historical sites and beautiful walks, easily accessible for other attractions. The. castle is well worth a visit as well as the boathouse.

Location, location, location. Sitting in the hot tub with great views. Everything provided for even the biggest of family gatherings.

Stayed for a few days at The Cors. An amazing Arts and Crafts house in Laugharne. A beautiful large garden, lost in time, an oasis of tranquility, yet just minutes from the village and Dylan Thomas' Boathouse. The bedrooms are individually designed, all with big flat screen TVs and modern bathrooms. I highly recommend staying in this extremely romantic, charming and comfortable house.

Middlelands is in a truly peaceful location, at the end of a gravelled track with just one other holiday cottage nearby. It has a wonderful homely feel to it, but one made comfortable and welcoming to guests. The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds. Our grandchildren loved the bunk beds. The woodburners were laid ready to light if needed. Sitting outside for meals by the back garden with a lovely view was a particular treat.

Lovely welcome pack include prosecco nice after a 5 hour drive. The accommodation is perfectly presented in every room. Thanks so much Ann and Ian.

Wonderful week at Maes y Mel. GWE were well organised and efficient, checking if we'd arrived safely, later if we were settling in, and later in the week before leaving. Our hostess, Buddig was friendly and helpful. The accommodation was quiet, comfortable and set in rural bliss. Highly recommended!!

A lovely quaint cottage in Laugharne. Very clean with great heating which was needed. Had a large kitchen with dining room table and chairs and well appointed. Washer/dryer was great. Main bedroom had a small but lovely en-suite. We went there in winter but found really nice walks around the area and some nice cafes still open. Browns restaurant is def worth a visit. Interior abd food is excellent. The Dylan Coastal Resort was open and we enjoyed lovely meals there. Definitely take a trip to Tenby it’s a beautiful seaside town about a 30 min drive.

The property was fantastic. Everything that was stated on the site was accurate. The house is in a lovely location (up a hill), a short walk in to town, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The hosts had left us a welcome pack on arrival which was a lovely touch. We had taken two cars and parking was not a problem. The house was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for the five adults in our party. I would recommend this property and would definitely stay here again if we went back to Tenby.

Saundersfoot and surrounding areas are beautiful. This flat is the perfect base for making the most of it with its sea view and everything you need for a comfortable stay. We will gladly return to this location.

The apartment was very well equipped. Every small detail/need had been thought of. It was very comfortable & homely. Parking & security entrance was good. Sarah the host was excellent in checking everything was ok when we arrived. We ate in most evenings as the kitchen was so well equipped & the lighting was perfect & like home from home. Lovely cottage with amazing views. The welcome goodies were very thoughtful and appreciated. The cottage has everything you need and is the best stocked Airbnb we have stayed in. Dressing gowns and towels are provided. Hot tub is large and private. The cottage is very clean and cosy. Would definitely stay again!

WOW! This property was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are incredible. The house itself is furnished beautifully, amazing artwork and a mix of modern and an older feel! The property is so quirky, you really won’t find anywhere else like this. Jac was amazing throughout the booking process and whilst at the property too. He even got 50 balloons and a bottle of bubbly for my mum when I said we were coming for her birthday, so kind! Our dog Alfie loved the garden. The fact that this dog friendly makes it even better! Everything about this property is brilliant, I miss it already!

We had a lovely stay at Gwalia House. Everything was just as described. Very comfortable beds, kitchen very well equipped and the house was beautifully furnished throughout. Very good communication from the agent. There is plenty to do nearby - particular highlight was Barafundle Bay area - there is a stunning circular walk which takes about 3 hours starting from Bosherton Lily Ponds. We also had a delicious supper across the road at Dexters - but you need to book well in advance. All in all - highly recommended!

Lovely location for an extremely soothing break. Well equipped cottage and Robert was kind enough to get kids little games to keep busy when you are retiring after having a day out whether to botanical garden trip or folley farm.
Near by nisa local, fish and chips were handy to pop for a quick snack.
House was very clean and plenty of room for a family of six. We shall visit again and recommend this place.

We have stayed at Sunnybank twice now. First time as a couple and we couldn’t wait to return for our family holiday! 5 stars is not enough, I would give so many more if I could! Hazel and Hugh are wonderful hosts and they go above and beyond to ensure you have the most comfortable stay. Hazel gave us lots of ideas for things to do and places to explore which was great! The bungalow is a real home from home. It is spacious and comfortable and has everything you could possibly need, including lots of extra little touches that really sets this place apart from the others! Pendine beach is beautiful (pic below) we also drove a bit further up to New Quay where we hopped on a boat trip and saw lots of dolphins! 🐬 If you have children, we definitely recommend Folly Farm. We cannot wait to come back again. Thank you for a wonderful week.

A lovely, modern cottage right in the heart of Laugharne, Chapel View is a good size for two, with a patio garden that is a real sun trap in the morning. Luckily we had great weather so didn’t spend that much time indoors but for those not so fortunate the cottage is a very nice place to be. Easy to book through Great Welsh Escapes who provide plenty of support and who attended to a minor issue we had speedily and efficiently.

My only comment is to take care on the local roads as some become impassable without warning.

Stayed a Sunnybank beginning of October for ten days. Immediately when you walk in you can see that the cottage is so clean and fresh. Everything you need for a holiday is there, just like home from home. The hot tub (which is very private) is excellent and so it the games room. The owners were easily contactable if needed. We would highly recommend this cottage. Although we didn't require, the cottage is also ideal if there is a disability shower wise etc. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!
