In the middle of a working castle farm.

Wildhaven is a wonderful place to pause and reset. This was our second stay, and hopefully not our last! It really feels like it's in the heart of the Beacons National Park with nothing around by sheep, beautiful scenery, and wild horses. I can't recommend it enough.

We had a couple of hiccups with the house, but the hosts communicated well and they were resolved efficiently.

Had a fantastic family stay in the old school house. The facilities are high spec with a well equipped kitchen, in fact I’m now on the unit for a new bathroom following our visit.!
The only down side was that there are no draws or wardrobes in the bedrooms and therefore we were living out of suitcases for the week.
Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We spent a wonderful week at the property. The rooms are spacious and everything has been well thought out.
The outdoor terrace is lovely with incredible views. A wonderful place to have breakfast and dinner.
The kitchen is well equipped with lots of cutlery, glasses and plates as well as anything you would need should you choose to cook a large meal.
The decor was original and made the house feel very cosy. The children enjoyed the selection of books and looking through the various toys.
We had very good weather so spent the days on the beach in Tenby and Saundersfoot which are about 30mins away. The nearby town which is a few minutes drive has a number of pubs, ice cream sellers and cafes.
Would highly recommend.

The house was immaculate - so clean and well equipped. Hanna had thought of everything. It was also warm and cosy and we were lucky with the weather, enabling us to sit outside on a few afternoons. The peaceful setting and wonderful views added to our great stay. Would highly recommend.

We have visited the area for many years and this was a fabulous apartment from which to explore, easy walking distance to town centre and to access the coastal paths. Place was immaculate with plenty of additional little touches in terms of advice and amenities that enhanced the experience. Apartment is easy to find, light and very spacious with everything you need and more.

Our stay at Chapel View in Laugharne, Carmarthen was excellent. The cottage is ideal for two and decorated in modern style and comfort. It is well located in the centre of the upper town and is secure and quiet thanks to double glazing. We really enjoyed Laugharne and the surrounding area.

We booked the place for our staff and it was just what they needed. Nice and clean.

A lovely, modern cottage right in the heart of Laugharne, Chapel View is a good size for two, with a patio garden that is a real sun trap in the morning. Luckily we had great weather so didn’t spend that much time indoors but for those not so fortunate the cottage is a very nice place to be. Easy to book through Great Welsh Escapes who provide plenty of support and who attended to a minor issue we had speedily and efficiently.

Great communication with host and had a lovely time in this preoperty. Really nice location , thuroughly enjoyed ourself!

Stunning house with all facilities needed, all the little touches provided, very much enjoyed our week here and didn’t want to leave. Laugharne a lovely, quirky village, enjoyed strolling by the estuary in the evenings. Good location to explore the local area, great beach for families at Pendine and only 30 minutes from Tenby.

What a lovely property! Three double bedrooms, all with en-suites. The house is high-spec with everything supplied that you could wish for. I heartily recommend if you are a Dylan Thomas fan or just want to check out the area. Response to issues was also super-quick.

Stayed at the Cors Country House for a weekend with my family. The people at Great Welsh Escapes were really helpful in booking the house and recommending activities for us to do over the weekend. I'd happily recommend these guys to anyone else and would use them again in the future. Thanks!

WOW! This property was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are incredible. The house itself is furnished beautifully, amazing artwork and a mix of a modern and an older feel! The property is so quirky, you really won’t find anywhere else like it! Jac was amazing throughout the booking process and whilst staying at the property. He even got 50 balloons and a bottle of bubbly for my Mum when I said we were coming for her birthday, so kind! Our dog Alfie loved the garden. The fact that this property is dog friendly makes it even better! Thank you Jac for an amazing stay at The Cors! We have made very special memories and I know for certain I will be returning in the future! I miss it already!

The location and view from the property was simply stunning.

The property is adequately equipped and immaculately kept and served as a perfect base for my family and I to explore South Wales. The owners live adjacent to the property and were extremely friendly and polite not that we needed to contact them for anything as the property was simply perfect.

The cottage was in a great location, close to the shops, restaurants, castle and Dylan's boat house. The facilities in the cottage were good. It was a nice touch to have a welcome pack on arrival.

My partner is tall and we did struggle with the double bed, would have liked a king-size, however we were fully aware of this when booking.

Beautifully restored home to luxury standard. Out of the places we visited Laugharne was the best. We loved the town, the estuary, the history and the people - all so friendly. Hope to be able to return sometime.

What an amazing time spent at the Cors with our 4 children. A beautifully decorated quirky home on the most fantastic grounds. Hours spent playing hide and seek in the garden and searching for fairies with our daughters.We feel so lucky to have made the best memories ever there with our family,that we will treasure. Beautiful, peaceful area, neighbours were very friendly. Lovely house that was well equipped and beautifully furnished. Very clean, bathrooms were spotless and well equipped with two showers, one downstairs and one upstairs in the family bathroom and with a bath. Beds were very comfortable, with clean linen and bath towels. Well equipped kitchen, with everything needed during our stay. Thank you for the bubbles and biscuits, they were very nice.
I would definitely try to book this place again when I return to the area.

Great Welsh Escapes' "Gwalia" in Laugharne is an amazing house, steeped in history and beautifully decorated. An ideal base from where to explore the fabulous Welsh beaches and countryside, you will return from there recharged and refreshed. Great local restaurants literally on the doorstep mean you can enjoy fantastic food without having to worry about cooking for yourselves, although there is also a small supermarket 2 minute walk away. We have been twice. We will return again.

As for Great Welsh Escapes themselves, they are friendly, easy to contact and responsive. A great outfit that you can trust.

I recently stayed at Frogmore in Laughne and had a fantastic experience. The rental was located in a beautiful area , including a great view of the nearby castle. The property itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also a very last minute booking and the contact at Great welsh escapes was incredibly helpful at accommodating us.

One thing I particularly appreciated was the attention to detail in the décor and furnishings. It was clear that the owners had put a lot of thought into creating a warm and inviting space that felt like a home away from home.

Overall, I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway . The location, amenities, and attention to detail made it a truly memorable stay.

We had an incredible time and loved staying at Maes Y Mel. It was a home away from home and we’ll definitely be coming back again in years to come. The hosts were so kind and friendly, a fantastic holiday spot to get away from it all and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Brilliant place to stay for a relaxing break away. Secluded enough to feel away from people but close enough drives to villages/towns.
The house was immaculate and much bigger than i anticipated from the photos. Comfy beds and nice to have a lounge separate from the kitchen.
We took our 9 month old with us and they had everything we needed such as travel cot, high chair, bath seat, all the way to spoons/bowls/swim nappies and more.
The hot tub was an added bonus, was lovely to sit in at night and relax listening to..well the silence!
Could not fault this place at all and will definitely return

Perfect location and very spacious apartment! The large living room and views are amazing.
We were lucky to be there during a heatwave so spent most of our time on the beaches. We left the car at the multi-storey car park for the whole week as everything you need is in walking distance. Car park only cost £30 for the week.
Kids were happy with the beach toys on offer at the accommodation to play with.
Beds were very comfortable and the shower was great.
Would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely beautiful house, and in a lovely location. We visited as a friendship group and it was just amazing! Great size bedrooms with huge comfy beds! All with en-suites, huge kitchen, lovely upstairs living room too. Great restaurants within a few minutes walk, and nice beach walks super close too!

Absolutely stunning and immaculate house in beautiful Laugharne. Ideally located for exploring Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Very well equipped property, easy check in and hosts easy to contact.

A really lovely property- I stayed with five friends for a long weekend and we loved the space, the kitchen was so well appointed and the bathrooms all lovely. Comfy beds, warm and cosy, and it was easy to find parking which was great with three cars. I’d easily recommend it to others- Laugharne isn’t the most bustling location (loved the Three Mariners pub!) but really easy to get out to Tenby and other beautiful areas around. I only wish we’d had slightly later check out!

Fast and simple check-in. Location as perfect for our coastal travel/drive as well as convenient to supermarkets/gas stations. Spacious home with fully-equipped kitchen. Very peaceful environment, which made for a great place to come home to after an explorative day.

The Cottage, Laugharne offers a huge, warm Welsh cwtsh. Set on the stunning estuary, the house with its magnificent rooms and facilities is an absolute gem, for groups and families. Highly recommended!

What a beautiful place. We stayed at ‘The Old School’ in Laugharne. It has everything you’d want and more. It is a place where a car is needed as you cannot really walk anywhere directly from here as there are no paths or public rights of way but without doubt if you need a base to explore Carmarthenshire or Pembrokeshire then this is it. Great Welsh escapes were also very good to deal with and we would recommend them to others.

A wonderful place to stay - stylish, thoughtful accommodation right in the centre of Laugharne and a short walk to stunning views. Thoroughly recommend.

The most beautiful apartment in our favourite place (Saundersfoot.) From the moment we walked in we knew we would love it, spotlessly clean & beautiful apartment and they really have thought of absolutely everything!!! Great shower and lovely sized bath. Very comfortable bed. Lovely modern kitchen and living room. Absolutely faultless, we loved our stay so much!

We had a superb 10 days at Yr Hen Feudy in Llandybie, which completely lived up to our expectations. Our hosts greeted us and showed us around, and nothing was too much trouble. We were grateful for the thoughtful little creature comforts which made our destination into a 'home from home', as well as all the information relating to the area and places of interest. We were blessed with lovely weather as well, enabling us to enjoy walking in the Brecon Beacons as well as along Rhosili Bay. Our Great Welsh Escape provided a much needed opportunity to unplug, rest and relax, restoring both mind and soul. Thank you very much.

Our stay at Gwalia House was great. A fabulous house with everything you need. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped kitchen. Plenty of pubs to choose from in the village and lots of blustery beach walks a few miles away. I would highly recommend.

What a find!! We were looking for a last minute break and stumbled across this beautiful house. When we arrived we were blown away. It’s quirky decor, the size, the facilities (pool table and cinema room were a massive hit!), the grounds and the location were spot on. It was refreshing to find something so beautiful that was also dog friendly. Our dog is a big part of our family, she has mobility issues so we struggle to leave her, having the option to take her to such a stunning house was perfect.
Big thank you to Jac for all the beautiful little touches, those that were specific to us (the welcome hamper and sign) and those that were just throughout the house (the bbq with gas ready to use, the hot water bottles in the bedrooms, the toiletries etc) it really does make your house and our holiday even more memorable.

Beautiful cottage in a great location. The cottage was really comfortable and beautifully furnished. A real home from home! Laugharne is lovely. We loved Poons Street Food, the castle and the walls around Laugharne.

A brilliant 3 night stay at Cors Country House in Laugharne. Great value for money and ideal facilities for a big group (we had 7 but ample room for several more) including comfortable rooms, bar, pool table & the cinema room is an amazing space! I’d thoroughly recommend this venue and the company who were very responsive throughout our stay, making everything hassle free.

The venue is also very well placed to discover Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. We managed to do some outdoor activities such as climbing & archery at nearby Pendine as well as taking in the coastal path between Saundersfoot & Tenby which was just 25 mins drive away.

We had a wonderful long weekend in Laugharne! The cottage was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, the pictures don't really do it justice. The view from the balcony is breathtaking on a sunny day, with the sea on the horizon. We were also greeted with a small selection of treats that were greatly appreciated.
The only thing to note is that the access is through a slightly bumpy downhill farm path - this wasn't an issue for us in the spring though.

We stayed at Sunny Bank over the school Easter holidays. Two adults and our children 6 and 3. Plenty of information was sent in advance making finding the accommodation easy. We arrived to find a beautiful hamper of Welsh products and a warm welcoming home. Sunny bank has all the amenities you could need plus the luxuries of gowns and towels for the hot tub. The home was immaculately clean and a perfect place to come back to after a day out exploring the Welsh countryside. Hazel and her family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, from popping in to show us how to work the hot tub to messaging to help me find a doctor for my daughter. She really makes every effort to ensure you have a wonderful time. Sunnybank is so peaceful and quiet, and if you enjoy the hot tub in the evenings it's a great spot to stargaze in the clear unpolluted skies.

Everything was really lovely & felt just like home from home.we really didn't want to leave.

We soon settled in & felt very relaxed the whole time. The beds were very comfy & all slept very well. The bathroom/ensuite were lovely & showers excellent. We never got bored of looking at the view. The location was perfect to walk into Tenby centre.

The pictures don’t do it justice, perfect location so peaceful we slept like logs. House was brilliant and clean, hot tub amazing. Hanna was the perfect host and helped us with anything we needed and was understanding when a few things happened (our toddler may have taken a remote back home with us🤦‍♀️) can’t recommend this place enough! Nice kitchenette, every thing you could want ,the only negative would be the shower room could have been a little larger ,otherwise comfortable stay .

Had an absolutely amazing stay here, so peaceful and isolated. Great place to unwind. Everything you could need, great sound system in the living room with tv and comfy beds. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

The Old School is a really beautiful building. It was also very clean with lovely fixtures and fittings which made our stay both comfortable and relaxing - the house is in a quiet location near both countryside and the coast. The beds were really comfy and the kitchen well-stocked - we eat in most evenings because of Covid and really enjoyed the spaciousness of the house.

We stayed for 3 nights here as an extended family. Welcome pack on arrival - House had everything we needed as a large group (10). Games facilities were amazing - all in a self contained area and hot tub put to good use overlooking beautiful Welsh scenery.

Lovely place to stay. Perfectly located in a quiet village with tonnes of history and places to visit. Absolutely recommend this place!

Hazel could not of been anymore hospitable could she of tried. We had a stunning welcome pack and then Hazel went above and beyond with some eggs and after she spent a morning strawberry picking she even shared what she had gathered with us. The location is remote but perfect. Stunning bungalow with amazing and tranquil views from every window and the most well equipped air BnB I have ever stayed in. Honestly we did not want for anything. From a bbq, fans, torches, shower items, robes, towels - you name it. And the hot tub just topped it off!!
We struggled to get in touch with Welsh Escapes for check in info.
But please rest assured, Hazels place is well worth the money and Hazel is super friendly and super helpful. And the communication initially is with Welsh Escapes and not Hazel directly.

Great Welsh escapes was wonderful!! It was so nice to get out of the city and have a break. The location was beautiful as was the cottage.

The team were always very speedy with their responses to any questions I had and they made sure I got to the location okay and that I had everything I needed.

I had an amazing birthday and would love to revisit in the summer to hopefully go stargazing! :)

Stayed at Gwalia House with a group of friends. Fantastic place, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The house is ideally situated, just a short stroll from the castle and the centre of town. Will definitely return.

I've stayed in many places on the UK and this was by far the best weekend I've ever had. There's far too much to list that was good, it literally had everything and so much more!

There's absolutely nothing I could say that I didn't like about this accommodation.

This lovely house nestled in the middle of the beautiful town of Laugharne is absolutely exceptional in every way. Absolute perfection, the property is luxurious with beautiful furniture and artworks. Located a few yards away from Browns Hotel with parking too. We had the best time and will be booking another trip next year. Cannot recommend highly enough. Five star!!!

Such a gorgeous home! Something really special and so beautiful. Brilliant location - a lovely beach nearby at Pendine Sands and a great base for day trips to Barafundle Bay, Tenby etc. We want to go back already!

The accommodation was just what we wanted for a relaxing break with our dogs, just perfect.
Lots of walking from the door and only a short drive to lots of different areas including the coast.

The Barn and Chaff House was very comfortable. We stayed with our son and young family so the spiral staircases were a bit tricky for the two year old but we were able to cope. The house was very well equipped and we had everything we needed. The garden was great for the kids and the dog - totally enclosed. There is not a lot to do in the village but The beaches at Freshwater West and Broad Haven were absolutely stunning. The pub at stackpole was fantastic. We had a great time and it's a good base to explore from.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place itself was beautiful, it was so family friendly which was perfect for us and our little one, the host went above and beyond in ensuring there was everything you could require.

Parking was a little tricky at times

Lovely peaceful place, just what we wanted to rest and recuperate. Beautiful walks we enjoyed with our dog. Easy to get to the Welsh coast for nice days out. Sitting near the fireplace with a warm fire was a treat. Cute cottage with character, with lovely private outdoor space.

Had a super stay at the Barn and Chaffhouse in Castlemartin. It was ideally located for glorious beaches and scenery. Very well appointed and great hosts. Would recommend a stay here anytime.

Lovely little holiday home, great location. Steep hill to walk back to the property from the beach but definitely not enough to put us off coming back.

The place was very clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home. We had an amazing time and would love to visit again in the future.

We found the kitchen well equipped and spacious and the lounge cosy in the evenings. Beds were comfy and we used all 3 bedrooms. The location is good with easy access to walking paths. Laugharne was quieter than we had anticipated for early July and not all businesses were open, e.g. the fish and chip shop was open at lunchtime but closed in the evening. As other reviewers have commented, we did not find it possible to park in the street near the house during our stay. We used the washing machine and an outdoor washing line would have been useful.
There is a garden/outside space but we didn’t use it as we didn’t have great weather.
Great Welsh Escapes were easy to contact and helpful. We would happily book via them again if we were to revisit Wales.

We loved staying at Drefach! The beautiful massive garden with the hot tub was the highlight of our holiday. We also enjoyed the spacious house that was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Gorgeous little house, just next door to a fab deli that does amazing tapas on Friday and Saturday nights. The Poons Thai take out down next the castle is also fantastic. A fab little town and would definitely recommend it for a relaxing friendly break.

My stepdaughter and I spent an amazing week over Christmas and it was every bit as we imagined it would be. We took our 2 dogs with us and spent days at the dog friendly beaches near by. It was all so picturesque and peaceful. Would recommend it 100%

Rustic little cottage in a very rural location. Ideal for exploring West Wales. It had all the amenities described and we had a lovely few days with our two young children.

Just an astonishing house, I think the most beautiful place I've ever stayed - the photos, beautiful as they are, don't quite do it justice. The restoration work on this old Georgian house has to be seen to be believed. Our teenagers loved the pool, the outside area and barbecue are wonderful, the bedrooms are breathtaking and very comfortable. Laugharne is wonderful and very friendly, and there are beautiful walks on your doorstep. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

We enjoyed our short stay at Sunnybank. The accommodation is very homely & has everything you could need. Lovely hamper & card was left for our arrival 🥰 so thoughtful! Very friendly host & fabulous hot tub with views. We loved an evening soak - stargazing 🌟🤩

Large, clean and private indoor heated pool plus sauna. Very tranquil location overseeing the lake. There are not other guests as there is only one property for holiday makers so it is very private feeling just like a second home. There are everything needed in the house.

Occasional flies in the house and farm smell outside 😄 but no smell in the house.

Our trip couldn't have been more perfect – the town is lovely and the location of the cottage perfect for estuary walks and trips to the castle, restaurants and pubs. So many things to do nearby too, we will be back!

What a fantastic place, we had a wonderful time here and would visit again. Place was warm and cosy and very clean upon arrival, with all that you could need if you hadn't had chance to pick up any food at the shops (coffee, tea, wine, milk & even soup). The house is beautifully styled and the log burning fires were perfect for the rainy, cold days of which we had a few. We had good response to our messages even over the Easter BH weekend, they did everything to ensure we had a good time.

We had a 3 night stay at Dylan's Den in Laugharne and it was amazing. 4 well appointed en-suite bedrooms and a lovely cosy lounge area and kitchen. Plenty of room for the 7 of us (and our dog)
We were also left a comprehensive welcome pack which was gratefully received. If you haven't been to Laugharne then you really should add it to your list of places to visit. Wonderful.
Jac was very communicative throughout our stay, checking in that all was well, which of course it was, but it we still appreciated the fact he cared. We would love to return to Laugharne one day and would certainly aim to stay at Dylan's Den when we do..Thanks again.

What a place the Great House is! We were two families with young kids and a dog and it was amazing, plenty of space for us all the kids loved exploring the different rooms at night with a torch!
The location was perfect with a short walk to Browns and the new pizza place, which is worth going to. We can’t wait to book again in the summer and make the most of the outdoor pool and walled garden! Thank you for an amazing stay.

Great House is a lovely place to stay.It is old and quirky and really big so everyone has loads of space and their own (Website hidden by Airbnb) stocked modern kitchen,lovely raised patio for Al fresco dining and of course the heated pool.On the main Street so handy for the local deli and convenience store We also booked some big shops from Tesco .(Put a sign out for them to find you).

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage in the Brecon Beacons; a perfect place to escape the world for a little while.

This house was perfect for our needs. Daughter, son in law & grandchildren (age 2 & 3) slept downstairs and the rest of us were upstairs. Rooms were clean, comfortable & spacious. Two living room areas which were well equipped. Kitchen also had plenty of space and all that was needed for our stay. We appreciated the car parking space rather than parking on the street as the village is quite narrow in places. We didn’t use the log burner as the house was lovely and warm & there was always lots of hot water.
We would definitely recommend this house & would book again. Booking with Welsh Escapes was easy and communication excellent.

Lovely little cottage in a fantastic location. Cosy, warm, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean. Perfect for a couple. Laugharne itself is well-worth a visit, and the location of Chapel View in the village couldn’t be better. Definitely try the Deli (Ferryman’s) 4 doors down for a day-time meal, and for a treat, go to Brown’s Hotel, again just a few steps away, for a drink and/or a meal. Kitchen in cottage is well-equipped if you want to cook your own food. Hosting is done through a company (Great Welsh Escapes). Don’t let this put you off. They do it really well and have thought of everything, with regular communication and a personal touch in all they do. Would definitely book this place again. Highly recommended.

Never before have we booked and the wonderful pictures where exactly what you got- In fact reality was better! Wonderful in every way lovely owner welcomed us with a kind message. We had some poor weather but the apartment meant that didn’t matter as so cozy and comfy we cooked some great meals and all the fabulous facilities were a home from home. Will look to book again!

Nothing it’s just lovely

Lovely setting, even though it mostly rained it was AMAZING!
The Cottage is incredible and I would love to go back in the Summer and make even more use of the outdoor space. The dogs absolutely loved it from arrival to departure. Spacious, clean, warm and delightful.

Stayed for a week with my family over the summer. The Hidden Valley is beautiful - newly decorated, super comfy sofas and beds, kitchen fully equipped (they have thought of everything!), and the snug is a real bonus. It was fantastic to walk out of the bedroom door in the morning and enjoy the spectacular view. I'm a keen stargazer, and the dark skies were an absolute wonder. Got some great photos of the Milky Way and it was a real treat using my telescope. Location-wise, there are so many gorgeous beaches nearby (Tenby, Saundersfoot, Wisemans Bridge, Manorbier and Barafundle were our favourites), lots to do for the kids and for adults, and plenty of places to stock up on amenities just a short drive away. Loved every minute, thank you for a fantastic week!

Fantastic week away in a beautiful location. We were able to travel to the beach a few days and my daughters especially loved the hot tub. would certainly stay again.

The Cottage was the perfect family house for the 12 of us ranging from 10 to 75 years. We loved the amazing views from the sun room and garden. It was an ideal location to base ourselves with beautiful beaches, walks and lots of things to do close by. The house was clean and very well kept, Great Welsh Escapes were responsive and quick to reply to any questions and kept in touch through out the stay. We had a fabulous Family Holiday and would definitely recommend this property.
