About Great Welsh Escapes

The location was perfect. We enjoyed staying somewhere tranquil but within easy reach of the beaches. The garden was lovely and perfect for our energetic boys. The house was very spacious and perfect for 2 families. The hosts were great and very responsive to all our queries.
The only minor improvement we would suggest is having a drier as we stayed for 2 weeks and it was difficult to dry our clothes. Also the knives for chopping were not sharp at all and were really difficult to use.

We all hade a great time in Laugharne, it was great to get away from the busy life we all have.

We had a superb 10 days at Yr Hen Feudy in Llandybie, which completely lived up to our expectations. Our hosts greeted us and showed us around, and nothing was too much trouble. We were grateful for the thoughtful little creature comforts which made our destination into a 'home from home', as well as all the information relating to the area and places of interest. We were blessed with lovely weather as well, enabling us to enjoy walking in the Brecon Beacons as well as along Rhosili Bay. Our Great Welsh Escape provided a much needed opportunity to unplug, rest and relax, restoring both mind and soul. Thank you very much.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place itself was beautiful, it was so family friendly which was perfect for us and our little one, the host went above and beyond in ensuring there was everything you could require.

Stayed at Gwalia House with a group of friends. Fantastic place, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The house is ideally situated, just a short stroll from the castle and the centre of town. Will definitely return.

A brilliant 3 night stay at Cors Country House in Laugharne. Great value for money and ideal facilities for a big group (we had 7 but ample room for several more) including comfortable rooms, bar, pool table & the cinema room is an amazing space! I’d thoroughly recommend this venue and the company who were very responsive throughout our stay, making everything hassle free.

The venue is also very well placed to discover Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. We managed to do some outdoor activities such as climbing & archery at nearby Pendine as well as taking in the coastal path between Saundersfoot & Tenby which was just 25 mins drive away.

Awesome Taf is a great location to be when visiting carmerthen , it is actually withing 25 mins drive to Oakwood theme park, 24mins to Dinosaur park, Heathertons etc and 3.5 miles to Pembroke Castle and very close to McDonald's. The host was very nice, the house was 100percent very clean. Very comfortable felt like home.

Ideal place to spend a week with the family. The Cors has very impressive gardens and a peaceful location with uniquely styled rooms. An excellent location for walks , pubs, castle & Dylan's Boathouse.

Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful setting. We stayed here as a group of 11 in Sept 23 and there was so much space to all have your own time and space.
Fantastic walks and super comfortable beds.

Beautiful house with a very high level of comfort and well equipped with everything needed. Excellent location. Unfortunately the Covid situation means that some businesses are not fully open or open at all at the moment but those that were, were very friendly. Great to see that the preventative measures are being taken very seriously both in Laugharne and West Wales generally.

We couldn’t have asked for more for our holiday. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and provided a perfect base from which we could explore the area. Mel and Neil were thoughtful and helpful hosts with good recommendations for places to visit and local places to eat.

Absolutely fantastic stay at this amazing, quirky house. We couldn't believe it when we arrived, the photos do not do it justice. Really don't want to leave but will be back, the village is fabulous, the people so friendly, recommend it all.

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Sunny Bank, an idyllic and private with every single thing you can imagine. We were provided with a full tea service and dinner set, basics for breakfast, bathrobes and towels for the stay as well as towels for the hot tub. I honestly think every possible amenity was thought about and provided. The cottage is on a family farm and you have complete privacy, esp in the hot tub which made the stay perfect for us.
The owners live down the road and when we told them the engine light had come on, on the car, and we needed to find a garage they came over and sorted the car, we needed oil but they also added screen wash and coolent and gave further advice. They went above and beyond.
You also don't have to worry about the hot tub, they come and treat it for you daily.
These are truly good people

We loved staying at Drefach! The beautiful massive garden with the hot tub was the highlight of our holiday. We also enjoyed the spacious house that was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

We spent ten days in this beautiful cottage and had a wonderful time. It is very spacious, especially the principal bedroom and bathroom. The decor is very pleasing and tasteful, while the kitchen is modern and equipped. We used the oven, hob, washing machine and dishwasher, and all appliances worked perfectly. There is a Co-op just down the street, and there are a few nice takeaways within town.
The cottage is centrally located to cover both Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, and it is very convenient to do day trips to Tenby, Marloes Sands, St. Davids, Brecon Beacons and a dozen small beaches and castles -- the closest of which, Laugharne, is hardly a 12 minute drive away.
All in all, I can very strongly recommend staying here to explore known and unknown parts of the beautiful South Wales. And yes, Melanie and Neil are both wonderful hosts!

A stunning house in a stunning location- what is there not to love?! We had a fantastic time at the Cors - the house is beautiful, a real mix of old-fashioned charm and modern elegance, perfect for a weekend away.

Jac was extremely helpful before, during and after our visit - I can’t recommend this place enough. We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights stay in this lovely modern apartment. The location is very quiet but only a few minutes walk to the beach. The apartment is superbly and tastefully furnished with everything you need to make it feel like home from home. All the facilities were to a very high standard and everything was spotlessly clean. With lovely views to the sea and private parking it is a real gem and is highly recommended.
There is absolutely nothing to dislike.

This place is an absolute treasure. Very spacious, tastefully decorated and in the most beautiful setting. We loved that we could just walk out the door and could tramp around the Brecons. Our labrador loved the choice of two fireplaces and the garden is very dog friendly and secure. Do yourself a favour and have a bottle of bubbly on the hill watching the sunset go down - just magical.

We loved how isolated the property was - but it is best to come prepared for for your trip. Whilst the kitchen is well kitted out with crockery, kitchenware etc - no basics such as oil, sugar etc are provided (?due to COVID) and we got caught out on the first night. However, all in all a wonderful weekend away.

Beautiful little property in the centre of Laugharne - perfect for a couple! There’s a few pubs, The Three Mariners being the best in our opinion. Not so many places close by to eat in the evening (not all the pubs do food in the evening) but the property is well equipped for cooking. Dexter’s steak restaurant at Browns Hotel is fantastic & worth a try!
Good location for visits to Tenby, Stackpole & the Pembrokeshire coast in general - lots of things to do/see/walk within an hour’s drive.
Parking wasn’t really an issue - it’s on the road outside the property. Managed to parked straight outside every day apart from one when we parked outside Browns Hotel.
Communication with the host, Jacs, was excellent - very helpful & friendly.
Would highly recommend to anyone who wishes to stay in this area!

A lovely home in a nice village close to local pubs, shops, restaurants and costal walks. We really enjoyed the home and will be back again. A visit to the castle with the kids is also great fun. Would highly recommend.

location great for exploring the south Wales area, which is a lovely part of the world. Easy access to Laugharne but outside the village, so very quiet. The apartment is perfect for a couple and the hosts are so thoughtful.

The house was great - so beautiful - the different spaces suited the needs of three generations and 7 people, with lots of places to hang out in. Everywhere was very spacious and cosy, with lots of interesting art work on the walls. We felt some of the furniture was looking a bit tired and could do with a bit of an overhaul.
It was a great location, with lots of interesting walks on the door step and a beach with cafes a 10 minute drive away. We had a fantastic meal at Dexters at Browns, moments from the house and there were enough shops in the town to pick up a few bits and peaces.

I recently stayed at Frogmore in Laughne and had a fantastic experience. The rental was located in a beautiful area , including a great view of the nearby castle. The property itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also a very last minute booking and the contact at Great welsh escapes was incredibly helpful at accommodating us.

One thing I particularly appreciated was the attention to detail in the décor and furnishings. It was clear that the owners had put a lot of thought into creating a warm and inviting space that felt like a home away from home.

Overall, I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway . The location, amenities, and attention to detail made it a truly memorable stay.

The Cors is really a very special place in the fabulous town of Laugharne. Close to two very good pubs, an excellent Thai restaurant and a good Deli. What makes the holiday is the house with its fabulous grounds. Clean ,well equipped, very generous welcome pack and responsive host. Highly recommended.

Having the right code upon arrival seemed to be an issue. Maybe my fault for not understanding the procedure.

You couldn't wish for anywhere in nicer. The cottage had everything that you could want, and had been furnished to a high standard. The views were excellent and whatever the weather there was something to look at. We would definitely recommend this property to all our friends and family.

Great spacious home with beautiful gardens which are not shown. Our grandchildren loved the gardens and the fairy garden which has been created by the owner. Although there was a large lounge we spent our time in the kitchen/diner enjoying breakfast together and then playing card games together after dinner in the evening.

The location was great for the historic sites and for our family reunion (32 of us) on Pendine Sands. We didn’t all stay in the bungalow, only 9 of us!

Stayed at Chapel View. A few teething problems as brand new but dealt with brilliantly and quickly by GWE and the lovely owners who live next door. Beautiful cottage - didn’t want to leave!!! And would hugely recommend local walks and a trip to Pendine Sands. And Tapas from the Ferryman which is 2 doors down!!

We decided to treat ourselves to a beautiful home for a few days and the Old School was perfect. Easy to find, excellent communication from Jess, problem with bathroom light that was quickly rectified whilst we were out and about.

Laugharne is small but peaceful with all amenities you may need (if you need to do a large food shop however I’d do this before you arrive as the convenience store is very limited in terms of veg / selection etc).

Lovely stay in a beautiful cottage with fabulous views. Loved the furnishing and the beds were so comfortable. Would absolutely love to return for another week.

Jess was very responsive and helpful. Our son got very high fever on the last day and Emily was very kind to extend our check out by a whole hour. The house in itself is gorgeous and extremely clean just as the pictures. However, in regards to the location of the house, it’s not close to either the beach or the castle unlike the impression we got from the pictures posted. It’s in the middle of a farm residential area. Our son quite enjoyed waking up to the mooing of cows but the stench of the cow manure does waft through the house if you open the doors and the windows. All in all, we did enjoy our stay at the house immensely.

Amazing house, so comfortable and stylishly decorated. Three gorgeous king size rooms with ensuites make for a very enjoyable stay.

Attention to detail was second to none and we wished we could have stayed longer.

Laugharne is a great base for exploring Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire

A beautiful cottage right in the centre of Laugharne. Beautifully clean and everything there we needed, including some beautifully fresh bread and butter on arrival, after a 3 hour journey it was most welcome.

Beautifully styled compact cottage situated on the high street close to the amenities of Laugharne. Everything in the village is a short walk away, including the magnificent castle down the hill. We liked the Farrow and Ball decor. The galleried bedroom area upstairs, not shown in the spec, had a wow effect when we first viewed it, presented in a boutique hotel style. Best of all the bathroom with a great walk in shower. Everything in the property felt brand new and was immaculate upon our arrival. All in all I would be happy to recommend this property to anyone wanting a break in this part of Wales.

This house deserves its name ‘Great House’.
Every room is spacious … and there are a lot of them over 4 floors! Special mention for the magnificent bathrooms!
Rooms full of furniture, splendid paintings and impressive pottery on display.
As for the basics: the house was spotlessly clean, gas central heating is very effective (plus a log fire), the huge beds are very comfortable and the kitchen comes well equipped.

Just an astonishing house, I think the most beautiful place I've ever stayed - the photos, beautiful as they are, don't quite do it justice. The restoration work on this old Georgian house has to be seen to be believed. Our teenagers loved the pool, the outside area and barbecue are wonderful, the bedrooms are breathtaking and very comfortable. Laugharne is wonderful and very friendly, and there are beautiful walks on your doorstep. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Loved our stay in this spacious bungalow, it was ideal for a large family and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed the gardens. You couldn’t hear a sound in the night, it was so relaxing and just perfect for a break down west.

Lovely bungalow with extensive garden just a shame it’s not gated to make it safer for dogs and children. Handy position close to the village of Laugharne. Would gladly stay again. Great to have Jac on the end of the phone if needed. A lovely personal touch.

Really lovely property surrounded by beautiful Welsh nature! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We had such a great time and wished we had a few extra days. The kitchen was prepped with everything we needed (and more!), with a nice welcome basket filled with delicious treats. We also enjoyed browsing through the vast DVD collection. Can't wait to go back!

We spent xmas at The Great house and it was magical. Great welsh escapes went above and beyond when helping organise our stay and once we arrived and during. Beautiful place in beautiful surroundings. Less than 10 min drive to stubby freshwater west beaches and within 30 minutes of tonnes of activities and days out. Place was spotless, well stocked and very spacious. Communication was speedy and friendly. Would recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Very spacious and clean. Had great facilities and everything we needed. Location was nice and not far from main town. Walks along the beach to the castle were peaceful and we enjoyed the surrounding scenery and village. Very quiet and relaxing.

Our stay at great Welsh was great, we enjoyed our stay including clean and tidy bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful garden, and amazing view. We also enjoyed hot tub. There were lots of things for kids and other things to play sports. Also host left us many things to eat and drink. Overall it was a perfect house and I recommend it if anyone wants to stay. We were given a warm welcome by the host.

We had a great stay with Hugh and Hazel. They'd put a lot of effort into making the home as welcoming to all (including supplies for rainy days). It was comfortable, well stocked (beyond what I'd normally expect) and they'd left us with plenty of recommendations. Couldn't fault them!

A lovely cottage in a quiet, Welsh village. Perfect for a little getaway if you’re after peace and quiet, with lots of local walks. There a couple of places to eat in the village and a convenient store for the basics, which was helpful to have on the doorstep. We would definitely return.

I booked this house for a birthday trip for my Mum and nieces. The communication prior to arriving was great. It provided lots of info not just about the house but also about the area and restaurants etc.

The house is filled with character and history but restored to a incredibly high standard.

The bedrooms and en suites with lovely and the sitting room and snug just wonderful. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped and stylish.

I would highly recommend this property and will certainly be returning.

Beautiful, peaceful area, neighbours were very friendly. Lovely house that was well equipped and beautifully furnished. Very clean, bathrooms were spotless and well equipped with two showers, one downstairs and one upstairs in the family bathroom and with a bath. Beds were very comfortable, with clean linen and bath towels. Well equipped kitchen, with everything needed during our stay. Thank you for the bubbles and biscuits, they were very nice.
I would definitely try to book this place again when I return to the area.

This is a lovely, modern property outside Laugharne with a very friendly and helpful host. We stayed during the heatwave so the BBQ supplied was ideal for our stay. The area is stunning with plenty of lovely walks. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here!

We LOVED York Lodge - Laugharne is beautiful and although I didn't know much about Dylan Thomas before I went, reading his 'Poem in October' written on his 30th birthday; whilst walking his 'birthday walk' (in October) and seeing what he was looking at and referring to was one of the most moving experiences. The emotion of it took me by surprise! The views are out of this world and a short walk from York Lodge. I am SO glad we came here and will most definitely come back again.

Perfectly situated for the town estuary local walks restaurants etc great family home for a big group loads of space for everyone all rooms en-suite which really helps we all wanted to move in!!

The Cors was ideal for us, a party of two families with 5 teenagers between us. The house itself was homely and charming, and the location is great to explore this stunning part of Wales. Plenty of space to get together as a group, or to have some time to yourself.

What an amazing time spent at the Cors with our 4 children. A beautifully decorated quirky home on the most fantastic grounds. Hours spent playing hide and seek in the garden and searching for fairies with our daughters.We feel so lucky to have made the best memories ever there with our family,that we will treasure. This property that we stayed in was fantastic. We could see that Mel and Neil put their heart and sole into making it perfect. It is so cosy and unique, easily the most beautiful accommodation that we have stayed in so far.
Our stay was made so much nicer by our communication with Mel and Neil, they gave us fantastic recommendations of restaurants and places to visit. A lovely couple, a pleasure to have met them and stayed in their gorgeous cottage.

Clean modern flat with a great view. Under floor heating. comfortable bedrooms. Everything you need in the kitchen and living room areas. Allocated parking at the property.
The location is up a hill and it's dark at night so I recommend you bring a torch if you're walking at night or coming by public transport.

The Cottage was the perfect family house for the 12 of us ranging from 10 to 75 years. We loved the amazing views from the sun room and garden. It was an ideal location to base ourselves with beautiful beaches, walks and lots of things to do close by. The house was clean and very well kept, Great Welsh Escapes were responsive and quick to reply to any questions and kept in touch through out the stay. We had a fabulous Family Holiday and would definitely recommend this property.

We booked The Cors through Air B&B. The communication throughout the process was responsive and informative. We were very warmly welcomed by Michelle the property manager, who showed us round the whole house and gave us lots of really useful information. Michelle was at the end of the phone should we have needed her and checked in via txt a couple of times to make sure everything was ok for us.
The house is so lovely, a real home from home, my family and I have very fond memories of it having enjoyed many meals there when it was Nicks restaurant, it’s so special to be able to return and stay in this beautiful house in magical Laugharne.
The house was so comfortable and well equipped and the welcome goodies were very much appreciated! This really is a very special place in a very special town, we look forward to returning very soon.

Absolutely fantastic stay at this amazing, quirky house. We couldn't believe it when we arrived, the photos do not do it justice. Really don't want to leave but will be back, the village is fabulous, the people so friendly, recommend it all.

The neighbours parking outside the gates, it’s a very narrow gateway into the property. Most nights were impossible to get in.

The property was stunning, beautiful views from every window. Beds were extremely comfortable. Location was great, with shops, restaurants/bars very close to the property. We drove out to Tenby which was only 30mins away, but the beach at pendine sands was only a 10min drive Laugharne castle was great and you can see it from the property, plenty of walking routes in the area. Lastly the hot tub was a great touch! 100% recommend.

This is a beautiful and very characterful house! It is tastefully quirky and a perfect place to spend time with family or friends. A few great pubs and a lovely Thai within walking distance too! Recommended!

This lovely house nestled in the middle of the beautiful town of Laugharne is absolutely exceptional in every way. Absolute perfection, the property is luxurious with beautiful furniture and artworks. Located a few yards away from Browns Hotel with parking too. We had the best time and will be booking another trip next year. Cannot recommend highly enough. Five star!!!

A magnificent home with fantastic contained garden and pool area for entertaining and family

What a fantastic trip. A lovely large bungalow with everything you could ever need for a relaxing family vacation. Well equipped kitchen with a large dining table for board games and meals. Lovely living room with blu ray and comfy sofas and chairs. Lots of space for 2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 children and a dog with more to sapre. Lovely personal touches by the hosts Jac and Michelle, the Welsh cakes and wine were a lovely touch as was the help with directions. Highly recommended.

Wonderful little one bed house - immaculate & really lovely! Location was great (heads up parking can be a little bit of challenge but really just needs you to be patient). Really great communications with our host and so pleased we booked!

We had a truly relaxing stay in this wonderful cottage. The outside space was perfect and the town delightfully welcoming . The cottage is a great start for exploring the coast and the nearby towns of Pembroke and Carmarthen. We fell in love with this area of Wales~ gentle and peaceful.

Everything, the bungalow had the 'Wow' factor in every way Hazel was very welcoming, the views were amazing, it is a real home from home was nice to just chill or explore if you wanted to will definitely stay again

Dolau Taf is the perfect accommodation for two people. Apart from it being warm & welcoming, it was the little simple but thoughtful touches that appealed. Salt & pepper, herbs & oil for cooking meals & a bottle of red wine to enjoy with your meal. These are things that make the difference on arrival. Thank you Anne & Peter.
There wasn't anything we didn’t like about Dolau Taf apart from having to leave after only three days to continue with our holiday at another location in Wales. We will definitely return in the future.

What a wonderful, peaceful experience we have had staying here at Old Oak Barn, the cottage is beautiful, picturesque walking grounds surround the barn. Look out for the little surprises! We were made to feel so welcome, outstanding hospitality. What a Gem, you will not be disappointed and we look forward to another visit

We loved our stay at the Boathouse, which was set in a quiet and beautiful location and within easy reach of most major attractions that we wanted to see (less than 30-45 mins away for pretty much everything). We had the pool to ourselves every time we used it, and it was great to be able to access it basically any time we wanted to. We had one minor issue with the water pressure one day but the hosts were great and fixed it in short order, so no complaints from us. We would definitely stay again next time we go to South Wales - rare find indeed.

Beautiful cottage in a great location. The cottage was really comfortable and beautifully furnished. A real home from home! Laugharne is lovely. We loved Poons Street Food, the castle and the walls around Laugharne.

The house was beautifully furnished, spacious, clean and tidy. Views from the terrace and the windows across Laugharne to the castle, and of the tidal estuary were incredible.
Everything we needed was provided, and we definitely return to Lloret.

The cottage is very cosy. Living room is cosy with a large fireplace but plenty of space. The sofas are a bit tired but not a problem.
We travelled during a 30°+ heat wave and the living room was very cool due to the stone walls which made it a very welcome place to be!
The garden is lovely and full of secret paths for the kids but be warned, there is a pond exposed, so no good for toddlers.
The area is fantastic with Pembrokeshire coast and loads of things for the kids.
Only gripe is that there is no parking by the cottage other than a layby. There is a car park 150 yards up the road however which allows you to see some incredible scenery of the area, so absolutely this is not a negative overall.
Worth mentioning that there is no TV signal or mobile coverage although there was broadband and WiFi available.

Cannot say how great this place is. Probably the best beach in Great Britain over the road. Flat spotless. Has everything you could ever want.

Lovely space on one level, great for little ones. Grand parents escaped to the annexe, which was rented separately, well equipped, bed linen beautiful , kitchen brilliant for larger numbers, two ovens, two fridges , great area, laugherne is special, and close to those important beaches for the little ones . We loved the cottage and the warm welcome. The cottage is so well appointed, with large rooms and modern equipment designed into a characterful style. The best thing we can say is that we would love to come back soon.
Parking is a little tight, but was adequate for our small car. That is really the only criticism. We are not critical guests anyway, but our hosts made us feel like we were their special guests. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location in a beautiful village with gorgeous walks and breathtaking views down in the estuary. A compact cottage but has everything you need and lots of character. Impeccably clean. Lovely and very responsive management.

Hazel could not of been anymore hospitable could she of tried. We had a stunning welcome pack and then Hazel went above and beyond with some eggs and after she spent a morning strawberry picking she even shared what she had gathered with us. The location is remote but perfect. Stunning bungalow with amazing and tranquil views from every window and the most well equipped air BnB I have ever stayed in. Honestly we did not want for anything. From a bbq, fans, torches, shower items, robes, towels - you name it. And the hot tub just topped it off!!
We struggled to get in touch with Welsh Escapes for check in info.
But please rest assured, Hazels place is well worth the money and Hazel is super friendly and super helpful. And the communication initially is with Welsh Escapes and not Hazel directly.

Everything!! From the moment we got there to the moment we left. The owners have thought of absolutely everything, it was spotless and just luxury. Welcome pack was amazing, hot tub AMAZING! Location is stunning and so relaxing, owners went above and beyond for us. 100% going back!

What an Amazing house - there really aren’t enough superlatives to describe it .Every room was a delight & we revelled in staying in such grandeur . We had an absolutely wonderful time & the pool was an extra bonus. . Great comms & Michelle was very helpful. We have already booked a return trip.

Beautiful characterful house, with a gorgeous garden. The situation is very peaceful but shops and restaurants/pubs are in easy walking distance. Very well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Plenty of room for a family party and a small dog (who spent a lot of time on the very welcome dog bed - much bigger than his at home!). We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Our week at the Cors was our first family holiday for three years. It is a lovely, interesting house and there is plenty to do in Laugharne and the surrounding area. We had a really good time. Thank you to Jac and the team at GWE for all your help.

We picked the location as it was close to family. A beautiful rural spot surrounded by countryside. We loved the cottage. Great for young children to play outside without the worry of traffic. It had everything we needed with comfortable beds and a huge comfortable sofa.

It’s a beautiful home and the location is very peaceful perfect for evening walks….Only downside is the parking issue as the street is quite a busy street.

Very well presented throughout and spotlessly clean. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you would possibly need, just relax on the lovely comfy sofa and enjoy your stay! The location is perfect to explore the beautiful surrounding area and South Wales best beaches. The hosts are very attentive and helpful. We would love to book another stay here soon, everything was perfect.

The property was fantastic. Everything that was stated on the site was accurate. The house is in a lovely location (up a hill), a short walk in to town, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The hosts had left us a welcome pack on arrival which was a lovely touch. We had taken two cars and parking was not a problem. The house was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for the five adults in our party. I would recommend this property and would definitely stay here again if we went back to Tenby.

Very well appointed house with all mod cons. Tons of parking space - and an easy woodland amble down to the metropolis that is Laugharne.
Great village stores for all the things you forgot and a friendly neighbour (we couldn’t track down) who let in the grocery delivery which pitched up 24 hours early!
Thoroughly recommend for a Welsh Coastal holiday

Superb accommodation and location. Beautifully decorated and furnished, you pay a little more for this type of accommodation, but it really is worth it. My children, normally very fussy, adored their bedrooms and the whole house, which is full of character. Ideally placed within the village, and whilst there is no parking with the property, we never had a problem finding a parking space within a few footsteps, even in the school holidays. Pubs and restaurants are within a stone throw, and all are excellent. It's a very relaxing village, with beautiful walks, and superb beaches within easy travelling distance. We love the area, and will be back.

We have had a brilliant stay at Lloret. The property was spotlessly clean with everything we needed and more. The location was ideal for exploring on foot and further afield, and every morning I was wowed anew by the view. I would highly recommend Great Welsh Escapes. They go the extra mile with a personal touch, the best holiday company I have dealt with in recent times.

This house is magnificent - a feast for the eyes if you enjoy this period of architecture. The house is enormous and but warm and comfortable at the same time. Great Welsh Escapes could not have done more to make our stay more special. Can throughly recommend! Will be looking to see what other properties this agency look after because they really are the best!

Laugharne is a fascinating little town with historical sites and beautiful walks, easily accessible for other attractions. The. castle is well worth a visit as well as the boathouse.

The house was warm and cosy on arrival. It literally has everything you need and a bit more to enjoy a fabulous stay!

We found the beds really comfy, enjoyed the living room and kitchen areas as this allowed us all to gather in one space (6 of us). Our group also really enjoyed the hot tub too! We loved all the little details that had been put into the home, it really was a great experience!

Would highly recommend a stay here. Beautiful views and lots of opportunities for star gazing in the evenings.

Booking to go to Laugharne I used Great Welsh Escapes and they managed our booking brilliantly. The place we had booked was amazing, a huge 1 bed in a quiet area just walking distances from the town centre and the castle! Highly recommend and I am already using Great Welsh Escapes again in the next couple of months!

We LOVED York Lodge - Laugharne is beautiful and although I didn't know much about Dylan Thomas before I went, reading his 'Poem in October' written on his 30th birthday; whilst walking his 'birthday walk' (in October) and seeing what he was looking at and referring to was one of the most moving experiences. The emotion of it took me by surprise! The views are out of this world and a short walk from York Lodge. I am SO glad we came here and will most definitely come back again.
