Really enjoyed staying at tranquil house by the lake. Very cosy and well maintained, it was a great place to unwind for few days. didn't use the pool but having the sauna available during the winter was nice. Communication from Jess was great and spoke to the owner on site who was very friendly also. The Boathouse would be even better in the summer to be able to sit out and watch ducks swim around.

We really enjoyed our stay in Castle View in Laugharne. The house was just as described , small but beautifully appointed and ideal for a couple with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. It was centrally located on the main street only a short walk from the pubs, shops and excellent restaurants. Laugharne is a great base for exploring the area as well as having lovely walks and places of historical interest, notably the Castle and Dylan Thomas's house and writing shed. The locals are really friendly and made us welcome, especially Vince in Poon's and the staff in Portreeves bar.
Altogether we had great holiday and can't wait to go back again. Highly recommended

A brilliant 3 night stay at Cors Country House in Laugharne. Great value for money and ideal facilities for a big group (we had 7 but ample room for several more) including comfortable rooms, bar, pool table & the cinema room is an amazing space! I’d thoroughly recommend this venue and the company who were very responsive throughout our stay, making everything hassle free.

The venue is also very well placed to discover Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. We managed to do some outdoor activities such as climbing & archery at nearby Pendine as well as taking in the coastal path between Saundersfoot & Tenby which was just 25 mins drive away.

What an Amazing house - there really aren’t enough superlatives to describe it .Every room was a delight & we revelled in staying in such grandeur . We had an absolutely wonderful time & the pool was an extra bonus. . Great comms & Michelle was very helpful. We have already booked a return trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Very spacious and clean. Had great facilities and everything we needed. Location was nice and not far from main town. Walks along the beach to the castle were peaceful and we enjoyed the surrounding scenery and village. Very quiet and relaxing.

Great Welsh Escapes' "Gwalia" in Laugharne is an amazing house, steeped in history and beautifully decorated. An ideal base from where to explore the fabulous Welsh beaches and countryside, you will return from there recharged and refreshed. Great local restaurants literally on the doorstep mean you can enjoy fantastic food without having to worry about cooking for yourselves, although there is also a small supermarket 2 minute walk away. We have been twice. We will return again.

As for Great Welsh Escapes themselves, they are friendly, easy to contact and responsive. A great outfit that you can trust.

Our week at the Cors was our first family holiday for three years. It is a lovely, interesting house and there is plenty to do in Laugharne and the surrounding area. We had a really good time. Thank you to Jac and the team at GWE for all your help.

We had a lovely stay at this property in the quiet village of Llansteffan. Our hosts were helpful and communicative. House was spotless and tidy, plenty of cooking equipment etc and a very short distance from the estuary and castle walks.

Stayed for a week with my family over the summer. The Hidden Valley is beautiful - newly decorated, super comfy sofas and beds, kitchen fully equipped (they have thought of everything!), and the snug is a real bonus. It was fantastic to walk out of the bedroom door in the morning and enjoy the spectacular view. I'm a keen stargazer, and the dark skies were an absolute wonder. Got some great photos of the Milky Way and it was a real treat using my telescope. Location-wise, there are so many gorgeous beaches nearby (Tenby, Saundersfoot, Wisemans Bridge, Manorbier and Barafundle were our favourites), lots to do for the kids and for adults, and plenty of places to stock up on amenities just a short drive away. Loved every minute, thank you for a fantastic week!

Stayed at this place a number of times while working in the area. I've worked away from home for nearly 10 years and this is by far one of the best I've stayed. From the warm welcome from Richard. To the attention to detail the place has. It isn't like a holiday let. More like a home for the week.

My Wife and I feel really relaxed after a wonderful stay at this fantastic rural location. We ate dinner outside every night watching the sun go down. The chickens certainly kept us entertained too! You will not be disappointed booking to stay here.

Chapel view is a lovely cottage, super clean and comfortable. Easy parking outside the cottage and within walking distant to shops and places to eat. If you want to stay in and cook the cottage has everything you need.

This is a beautiful and very characterful house! It is tastefully quirky and a perfect place to spend time with family or friends. A few great pubs and a lovely Thai within walking distance too! Recommended!

Great place to stay and would very highly recommend it - lots of little touches to make you feel at home and welcome you in. Very very quiet and peaceful. Lovely to take time out and a great place to explore Carmarthenshire. Remember this is a working farm so cattle wandering down the track behind the cottage is a lovely sight to see, maybe not so nice on the nose occasionally but it really didnt bother us.

Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit. Schon der Empfang mit einem Korb mit walisischen Lebensmitteln und Getränken im Kühlschrank war außergewöhnlich und sehr erfreulich. Der Kontakt zu den Gastgebern war sehr nett. Das Haus ist extrem sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet, es fehlt einfach nichts.

Das ganze Haus ist behindertengerecht gebaut, so auch die Badezimmer.

Alles ist wie auf den Bilder und sehr zu empfehlen.

Eine sehr gute Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage, mitten in der Natur mit toller Aussicht und ideal für viele Tagestouren.

Wir waren sechs Nächte dort und haben noch lange nicht alles gesehen.

Wonderful home away from home with everything you need for a short or longer stay.
Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, and powerful showers. Close to the beach and a lovely garden to relax in. Plenty of games available for rainy days.

Stayed at Chapel View. A few teething problems as brand new but dealt with brilliantly and quickly by GWE and the lovely owners who live next door. Beautiful cottage - didn’t want to leave!!! And would hugely recommend local walks and a trip to Pendine Sands. And Tapas from the Ferryman which is 2 doors down!!

A beautiful, spotless home ,in a great location for the best tourist destinations(about 20 mins from Tenby).Dont let the price put you off, its well worth the money. The attention to detail is amazing ,from the power shower (downstairs) to the top quality bedding ,and there is EVERYTHING you need. Only here for 3 nights, but wished we had booked for longer.......

Our stay at The Old School House in Carmarthenshire was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was something special.
The open-plan kitchen and dining area, with underfloor heating and a boiling water tap, was impressive, and we were greeted with a lovely hamper.
The living room had a cosy sofa facing an 83-inch OLED TV with a great sound system. Every detail in the bedrooms, bathrooms, and en-suites was finished to the highest standard.
The hot tub was a perfect way to end the day, and it was here my partner proposed—I’m happy to say, I said yes!
The house is easy to find, with ultra-fast gigabit broadband and immaculate cleanliness.
We truly loved our stay and look forward to returning one day. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Simply put, the apartment was great. There was no concerns with being there; a little dusty on the kitchen worktop, but nothing seemed out of place or dirty. Great comms from the host; responsive, friendly and pleasant. I would definitely stay again and recommend to anybody.

One of the nicest places I've stayed when using AirBnB. A little expensive, but what isn't these days, and it was Easter weekend, so no real complaints there.

The location was good. It was on a main road out of Saundersfoot, so it had a little traffic noise, which was hardly noticeable. A 5-10 minute walk up a hill from the centre of town and out of the way enough that getting out was simple. Convenient parking too.

We have had a brilliant stay at Lloret. The property was spotlessly clean with everything we needed and more. The location was ideal for exploring on foot and further afield, and every morning I was wowed anew by the view. I would highly recommend Great Welsh Escapes. We booked this house for my partners parents and they were amazed by the views and how gorgeous the house was! They want to book it every time they come and visit.

Wildhaven is a wonderful place to pause and reset. This was our second stay, and hopefully not our last! It really feels like it's in the heart of the Beacons National Park with nothing around by sheep, beautiful scenery, and wild horses. I can't recommend it enough.

We had a couple of hiccups with the house, but the hosts communicated well and they were resolved efficiently.

We had a wonderful long weekend in Laugharne! The cottage was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, the pictures don't really do it justice. The view from the balcony is breathtaking on a sunny day, with the sea on the horizon. We were also greeted with a small selection of treats that were greatly appreciated.
The only thing to note is that the access is through a slightly bumpy downhill farm path - this wasn't an issue for us in the spring though.

There was nothing everything was perfect

When we got home, my daughter said, “I miss Rhif Un.” What a lovely stylish cottage. Everything was lovely; the sofa, the 72” TV, the bedrooms, the bathroom fixtures… everything!

We ate at one of the pubs in Laugharne and the food was scrumptious. Tenby beach was half an hour away. We parked at the Park and Ride. We ate Florentino’s Italian Restaurant - amazing food here.

Laugharne is very peaceful and there is a park near the cottage. It’s literally a minute’s walk.

The kitchen had everything we needed. You won’t be disappointed if you stay at Rhif Un.

A lovely and cosy air bnb, we loved every second of our stay there. The bed was very comfortable, the record player was a great touch, the bathroom and kitchen had everything that we need and more, and the fire place set a lovely mood for the evening. A lovely cottage in a quiet, Welsh village. Perfect for a little getaway if you’re after peace and quiet, with lots of local walks. There a couple of places to eat in the village and a convenient store for the basics, which was helpful to have on the doorstep. We would definitely return.

Picton cottage studio was beautiful and immaculate. It is furnished to a very high standard. Lovely, warm, peaceful and comfortable. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was really good, so close to Laugharne, St clears and the Pembrokeshire coast.
Picton house hotel 100yrds away serving superb food and entertainment and the Savoy Inn about a mile away also serving great food. Will definitely go back and reccomend.

It’s a beautiful home and the location is very peaceful perfect for evening walks….Only downside is the parking issue as the street is quite a busy street.

Great House is a unique and an amazing experience. Having an understanding of such a building the owner has lavished attention to detail beyond expectation. Must be seen to be believed.

Gwalia House was absolutely exceptional. Beautifully decorated inside and accommodated our young family perfectly. So much space for the little ones and luxury comfort for the adults. We would not hesitate to book again.

Laugharne is a fascinating little town with historical sites and beautiful walks, easily accessible for other attractions. The. castle is well worth a visit as well as the boathouse.

We found the beds really comfy, enjoyed the living room and kitchen areas as this allowed us all to gather in one space (6 of us). Our group also really enjoyed the hot tub too! We loved all the little details that had been put into the home, it really was a great experience!

Would highly recommend a stay here. Beautiful views and lots of opportunities for star gazing in the evenings.

A truly beautiful place in a very peaceful spot. You do need a car to get about and there are lovely villages and beaches to visit. The house is perfect even if the weather is so bad, it is a perfect place to relax.

Eine große Wohnküche, gemütliche Zimmer und atemberaubende Ausblicke in den Garten. Perfekt für Gruppen geeignet, um hier ein Wochenende mit Freunden zu verbringen. Die Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten von Laugharne sind einfach zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Haus ist liebevoll mit Kunst aller Art und interessanten Objekten dekoriert, Highlight ist sicherlich die eigene Bar des Hauses mit Billardtisch.

The property suited us well, and the views were lovely. The layout worked really well as we had our dog with us. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Laugharne area.

Amazing huge house. Had a great time with all the family, rooms large enough for us all to sit together and the house was large enough for us all to have space. Kids and I really enjoyed the pool.

Lovely farmhouse located in wonderful and peaceful location in the Brecon Beacons. Great surroundings and view. It has a nice big garden that is good to relax in and watch the sun set on an evening. It is very quiet and peaceful that is perfect to get away from it all.
Very comfortable furniture to relax in. Nice and functional kitchen with great electric cooker that is easy to use and gets the job done.
Had a few house spiders inside but that is to be expected with the location in the countryside and they were easily removed and put back into nature.

Overall, really nice stay and would go back and stay again.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and peaceful place. Lovely people around the village.

This place is an absolute treasure. Very spacious, tastefully decorated and in the most beautiful setting. We loved that we could just walk out the door and could tramp around the Brecons. Our labrador loved the choice of two fireplaces and the garden is very dog friendly and secure. Do yourself a favour and have a bottle of bubbly on the hill watching the sunset go down - just magical.

We loved how isolated the property was - but it is best to come prepared for for your trip. Whilst the kitchen is well kitted out with crockery, kitchenware etc - no basics such as oil, sugar etc are provided (?due to COVID) and we got caught out on the first night. However, all in all a wonderful weekend away.

Took elderly parents for 5 day break. Location was spot on. To look out at laugharne castle and the estuary through the living room window was awesome and watching the mist rolling up the estuary in the early morning. House was so well equipped, everything you could need. Would definitely go back.

A beautiful cottage, with some lovely welcoming touches. Very peaceful and we all slept really well. My children loved watching the wildlife in the lake and playing in the swimming pool. Close to all the places we wanted to visit. Thank you!

We chose this beautiful home for my 60th birthday celebration with all my family and it did not disappoint us. The property was spacious and so very well equipped throughout. There is plenty of car park space too. The 5 bedrooms with 3 of the 4 double bedded rooms having en-suite bathrooms with a family bathroom for the other double and twin attic bedroom. Unfortunately the 3 nights stay wasn’t long enough and wished stayed longer. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jac for the welcome pack of local produce together with my 60th balloon which was an added touch much appreciated. The bar and pool table were used each night. It was a great way to celebrate with my family thank you for everything

The house was beautifully furnished, spacious, clean and tidy. Views from the terrace and the windows across Laugharne to the castle, and of the tidal estuary were incredible.
Everything we needed was provided, and we definitely return to Lloret.

The house was amazing we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My daughter loved the Jacuzzi, myself and my wife love cooking so the kitchen was without doubt perfect and as a family entertainment wise the TV was perfect to relax chill and enjoy a few Xmas movies. I would definitely be back again !

Such a comfortable and welcoming home in the most beautiful location. We felt right at home instantly and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local area. It is relatively remote, so you do need a car and some things take a little while to get to, but it's worth it for the amazing peace and beauty of the location. Also the cottage is so well equipped and we got a Morrisons delivery the day we arrived, so not that remote! We can't wait to come back.

Great value for money and ideal facilities for a big group (we had 7 but ample room for several more) including comfortable rooms, bar, pool table & the cinema room is an amazing space! I’d thoroughly recommend this venue and the company who were very responsive throughout our stay, making everything hassle free.

The venue is also very well placed to discover Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. We managed to do some outdoor activities such as climbing & archery at nearby Pendine as well as taking in the coastal path between Saundersfoot & Tenby which was just 25 mins drive away.

What a beautiful cottage, in gorgeous surroundings. The cottage itself is exactly like the photos - spotless clean and so comfortable & cosy. Everything you might need is available in the kitchen and throughtout the property. The cottage is in a remote area, on a farm, so is extremely peaceful and relaxed. Paula, the owner of the property lives close by and is a lady! She gave great recommendations of places to visit. Overall a lovely trip away from home.

Brofallen is an excellent property. Very clean and spacious. My Husband and I took our elderly and slightly mobility challenged parents here for a family birthday. They had no issues getting around the property. The thoughtful nightlights were a great touch.The property is as described, but the photos do not do it justice. The views are incredible and ever changing. The wild birds were a joy to sit and watch at the feeders. Great kitchen with pretty much everything you could possibly need. So peaceful and relaxing. Really comfortable beds, lovely dark skies. If you happen to meet the neighbours they are very knowledgeable of the local area and the history of the property.
I would highly recommend Brofallen for the peace and location. Great area for exploring.

Great house. Spacious corridors and rooms. The main living room, the kitchen and one of the big rooms are great. Clean, comfortable. We couldn't use on the main living areas as it was under construction so they provided a hot tub outside. It's got great views and nice surroundings. Temperature was a bit funny at the beginning but it balanced after 24 hours. Great indoors fire! Very good communication and available. Great price for such space! Highly recommended.

A lovely quaint cottage in Laugharne. Very clean with great heating which was needed. Had a large kitchen with dining room table and chairs and well appointed. Washer/dryer was great. Main bedroom had a small but lovely en-suite. We went there in winter but found really nice walks around the area and some nice cafes still open. Browns restaurant is def worth a visit. Interior abd food is excellent. The Dylan Coastal Resort was open and we enjoyed lovely meals there. Definitely take a trip to Tenby it’s a beautiful seaside town about a 30 min drive.

A beautiful location - very rural and out of the hustle and bustle of city life. There are no shops / pubs or restaurants near the property so go prepared. The garden is a lovely place to relax and the cottage is a special experience- cosy and adequate. Parking is a problem though, the neighbours occupy the parking space which is meant for this property so we had to squeeze into the left over spot which left our car exposed and sticking out into the road, and I had to park so close to the hedgerow that I had to exit the vehicle from the passage door. This is a real downer for this property as otherwise it was a lovely stay.

The Cors Country House exceeded all my expectations, we had an amazing time, the house and grounds were beautiful. I would highly recommend this property.

Stayed at footsteps in saundersfoot, wonderful place. Spotless and very well equipped. Great location, easy walking distance to saundersfoot harbour and the coastal path

We had a great couple of days at Wildhaven. It was an ideal combination of remote, long walks from the door, quiet, yet an easy 20 minutes drive from a few villages with pubs and shops. The dogs loved it too! The house itself was fantastic, really great facilities and furniture. Everything was perfect!

Sunrise Super View , Hot Tub

We had a fantastic staycation experience!

Firstly, the good view we experienced was stunning, especially we witnessed a sunrise you had never seen before. The fact that i am specially mentioning it as it left a strong impression on me .

Additionally, the facility good amenities, including a spacious and clean home and a hot tub. These types of features can make all the difference in creating a relaxing and enjoyable staycation experience.

Overall, it was very positive and happy time we spent with family.
Thanks again as this stay will remain in our and my 6 year old girl memories forever.

A great few days away at this fab apartment. Very well equipped, clean and tidy and only a short walk to the centre.

Property was excellent with the facilities and equipment as much as anyone could ask for.
All in all a wonderful weekend.

We had such a lovely stay at the Cors, the location was beautiful and very secluded. The house inside was stunning and absolutely spotless, and the kids found it all very exciting. Jac was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions I had, and we will definitely return in the future. I would highly recommend The Cors to anyone looking for somewhere to stay with a large group!

I would highly recommend a stay at Gwalia house. My husband and I stayed here with our 2 sons and their partners during the Easter break. The house is beautiful throughout and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking, which worked well for us as a family. Location is also great. The house is exactly like the pictures and I would not hesitate to book this place again. Definitely worth a 5 star review.

What an amazing house - huge, comfortable and well-equipped. The swimming pool was an extra bonus. A really special place in a fantastic location. We enjoyed our stay very much.

It is on quite a busy road and the bedrooms at the front do get traffic noise so take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. In the loft, the chairs are quite old and rickety and the water was not connected to the tap in the kitchen. But these were minor irritations in an otherwise wonderful stay.

Michelle could not have been more helpful or welcoming. When there was a power cut one morning and we could not prepare breakfast she organised for us all to have breakfast from a local cafe. There were lovely welsh treats for us when we arrived so we had local goodies on hand. Thanks very much to Michelle for all her hospitality.

A lovely cottage nestled around farm lands all around. we had a great time away from the usual hustle. Having exclusive access to the pool was a bonus for our stay. Certainly worth the money!

We loved everything of our stay. The house was very cosy and tastefully furnished and the bathrooms were superb. The kitchen was well equipped and nice were the wine in the fridge and the welsh shortbread as a surprise. Parking space was every day available in front of the door but best of all were the stunning views onto the castle and the river Taf. Pubs and shops were all within a very short walking distance. We really can recomand this cottage to everyone.

A 30th birthday trip of dreams!
The Great House in Laugharne was everything and more. Check in was super easy with a key/lockbox.
The heated pool was incredible, when we first arrived we all ran around looking at ALL the incredible bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces.
We felt so bougie and smiled, laughed, played games, ate, drank the whole weekend it was perfect.
The Ferryman Delicatessen is a stones throw away from the house and has a wonderful selection of delicious food we visited a few times!
Wouldn’t change a thing, amazing stay, I’d love to go back.

We had a superb 10 days at Yr Hen Feudy in Llandybie, which completely lived up to our expectations. Our hosts greeted us and showed us around, and nothing was too much trouble. We were grateful for the thoughtful little creature comforts which made our destination into a 'home from home', as well as all the information relating to the area and places of interest. We were blessed with lovely weather as well, enabling us to enjoy walking in the Brecon Beacons as well as along Rhosili Bay. Our Great Welsh Escape provided a much needed opportunity to unplug, rest and relax, restoring both mind and soul. Thank you very much.

The cottage was in a great location, close to the shops, restaurants, castle and Dylan's boat house. The facilities in the cottage were good. It was a nice touch to have a welcome pack on arrival.

My partner is tall and we did struggle with the double bed, would have liked a king-size, however we were fully aware of this when booking.

A lovely spacious property which was exactly as described. Hosts were very good with communications before and during our stay and gave good local advice. Thanks for the gift of the Prosecco, tea and Bara Brith, much appreciated.The hot tub was excellent and super views over to the castle. Having extra towels for use in the hot tub was a bonus. The hill up to the property is a bit steep and may not suit everyone but we were fine with it. The property was very clean and tidy throughout, and the kitchen was fully stocked for self catering. I would certainly recommend this property to others.

Lovely cottage with amazing views. The welcome goodies were very thoughtful and appreciated. The cottage has everything you need and is the best stocked Airbnb we have stayed in. Dressing gowns and towels are provided. Hot tub is large and private. The cottage is very clean and cosy. Would definitely stay again!

We had an incredible time and loved staying at Maes Y Mel. It was a home away from home and we’ll definitely be coming back again in years to come. The hosts were so kind and friendly, a fantastic holiday spot to get away from it all and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

We all hade a great time in Laugharne, it was great to get away from the busy life we all have.

Beautiful house with a very high level of comfort and well equipped with everything needed. Excellent location. Unfortunately the Covid situation means that some businesses are not fully open or open at all at the moment but those that were, were very friendly. Great to see that the preventative measures are being taken very seriously both in Laugharne and West Wales generally.

York Lodge is an amazing house which was beautifully presented and in immaculate condition.
Everything you need is within a five minute walk and the views are stunning.

We didn't use lounge upstairs or sitting room off kitchen.
Wandered if you could adapt the sitting room to a dinning room and use more lounge space where dinning able is. Releasing this for a lounge area means you could use the upstairs lounge as an extra bedroom.

Fantastic stay, felt very welcome. Lovely touches, like the welcome basket and local guidance. Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful area!

No handrail on the stairs. Not a problem for the younger members of our group but 1 was an 88 year old who just needed help with the stairs. Would be great if one could be put up but wouldn’t stop us from staying again

We have visited Laugharne several times over the last eight years, and this years stay was definitely enhanced by our stay at Gwalia House. A stunning property with a boutique hotel feel. Couldn’t fault anything. My family & I just loved it! Already looking forward to a repeat in 2021!
