Frogmore

Laugharne

Frogmore is a newly refurbished cottage, situated in the heart of Laugharne with views directly to the castle and estuary. Perfect for walks along the beautiful shoreline, or venture around the historic town.

This quirky upside down house offers modern newly refurbished accommodation with fantastic views.

Enter the front door through the lovely hallway and up the staircase to a semi open plan living space with modern kitchen diner and living room. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious, with a dining table to the centre.

Enter the comfortable living room, with uninterrupted estuary and castle views. Sit on an evening with a hot cup of cocoa or a glass of your favourite tipple and snuggle up in front of the 55 inch Smart TV and watch your favourite film.

There is also a handy cloakroom on this level.

The ground floor has a master bedroom with king bed, a Smart TV and en suite shower room. The second twin bedroom can be made up as a king, upon request, also has an en suite shower room and access to the lovely courtyard garden.

This property is perfect for a couple wanting to enjoy stylish and modern accommodation, or a small family getaway.

Laugharne itself is an ancient town steeped in history, and a popular tourist destination with many great attractions in the area. With its easy accessibility to the M4, and prime location, also makes it a great base to visit Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

There is a good choice of eateries and lovely coastal walks, and some country pubs to sit and enjoy your evenings.

There are also a good choice of outdoor activities available in the area, ranging from horse riding, coasteering, to a variety of water sports, abseiling, orienteering, caving and gorge walking.

Just a 20 minute drive away you will reach the lovely market town of Carmarthen, with so many amenities. Carmarthen offers a large selection of restaurants and you will be spoilt for choice for eating out. Or venture 10 minutes in the other direction and you will reach the 7 miles of beach at the famous Pendine Sands.

There are an abundance of attractions in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, ranging from stunning beaches, castles, Botanical gardens and Country parks.

For the younger generation we are a short drive away from the likes of Folly Farm, Oakwood, Manor House Wildlife Park, Heatherton World of Activities and Dinosaur Park to name a few.

If you are a "foodie" then there is a fantastic choice of restaurants within a 20 - 30 minute's drive ranging from Coast in Coppet Hall to Y Polyn, just 5 minutes from Carmarthen.

A car is recommended but there is a limited local bus service available.

Nearest train station is Carmarthen or Whitland.

The house was in a perfect location to view the castle and estuary. It is beautifully furnished and was exceptionally clean. It's an upside down living arrangement with the lounge and kitchen upstairs to make the most of the view and bedrooms on the ground floor Everything was thought of and a welcome pack of shortbread, waffle biscuits and prosecco was so appreciated.
Nothing! The house had been shut up so there was a slight musty smell when we first arrived but as soon as we opened the windows it was fine and in no way detracted from the lovely surroundings.

Great cottage in a lovely position with a fabulous view. Within walking distance to restaurants and the local shop.
Ideal location to visit other areas of interest.
Loved the upside down living, especially with the glorious weather we had. Well appointed and immaculate.
If you’re a Dylan Thomas fan there is no place better!
Would recommend this property to anyone and we would love to return in the future.

It was such a pleasure to stay at this cottage in gorgeous Laugharne. The cottage is recently renovated and was fresh, clean and comfortable throughout. And the cottage has a great view of the castle. Great Welsh Escapes were excellent - very easy to communicate with and helpful. We had a lovely stay.

Took elderly parents for 5 day break. Location was spot on. To look out at laugharne castle and the estuary through the living room window was awesome and watching the mist rolling up the estuary in the early morning. House was so well equipped, everything you could need. Would definitely go back.
