Tenby Castle Beach

Tenby

Castle Beach is the smallest of Tenby’s three sandy beaches, at only about 150m wide and narrower at high tide. When the tide is out it is split in two by St. Catherine’s Island, with its old fort. At very low tide the sand is continuous with South Beach, forming an uninterrupted 2 mile stretch of golden beach. At the top of Castle beach is a wide sloping band of soft dry sand. Lower down it is firm, sloping on the left and fairly level on the right.
