There is a large sofa in the open plan sitting room with a 50 inch SMART TV, perfect for family gatherings. There is a log burner for those cosy Winter evenings and a gorgeous Sun room with breathtaking views of the Taf Estuary, perfect for a Summer evening watching. There is an additional snug with log burner to relax with a book and a glass of your favourite tipple. Completing the ground floor is a handy ground floor shower room with WC and the utility room, with a washing machine and dryer as well as a three drawer freezer. Also a perfect place to throw down your beach gear or muddy boots.

On the first floor there are four spacious bedrooms, with two of these being King Size bedrooms adjoining each other via wooden double doors, both with sea views, perfect as a family suite. There is an additional King size room with a zip and link bed (can be separated to two small singles upon request), as well as a further double bedroom. There is a family bathroom on the first floor with shower and WC.

On the top floor, there is a double and twin bedroom. The staircase to the top floor has a restricted ceiling height, and a lower than average ceiling height on the top floor (approx 180cm). A family bathroom with shower over bath and a WC completes the top floor.

Externally, through the double front gates you will drive into a gravelled car parking area, ample for 4 cars. The parking area opens to the terrace area outside of the conservatory and kitchen with an entertaining area with steps down to a large lawned area. All fully enclosed with uncompromised views. From Spring to Autumn there will be outdoor seating and BBQ available for use. The large private car park at the side of the property through double gates contains enough space for at least 4 cars.

Laugharne is perhaps best known for its associations with Wales' most famous poet, Dylan Thomas, however, there is much more to Laugharne than just Dylan Thomas.

Laugharne is a small town sitting on the estuary of the Taf River and offers stunning estuary walks, including the infamous Dylan Thomas Birthday Walk. There are also plenty of woodland walks and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path starts nearby.

It is an ancient town steeped in history, and a popular tourist destination with many great attractions in the area. With its easy accessibility to the M4, and prime location, also makes it a great base to visit Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

The Boathouse, where Dylan and Caitlin lived with their children, is now a heritage centre. Overlooking the estuary are the dramatic ruins of a Norman Castle, a popular visitor attraction. Laugharne has a good choice of cafes and restaurants.

There are also a good choice of outdoor activities available in the area, ranging from horse riding, coasteering, to a variety of water sports, abseiling, orienteering, caving and gorge walking.

There are many beautiful rugged beaches in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, along with the more popular coastal resorts of Pendine, Saundersfoot and Tenby. Pendine is a short 5 minute drive away and boasts miles of golden sand.

There is an abundance of interesting attractions locally, including Castles, historic houses and National Botanical Gardens to name a few.

For the younger generation we are a short drive away from the likes of Folly Farm, Oakwood, Manor House Wildlife Park, Heatherton World of Activities and Dinosaur Park to name a few.

If you are a "foodie" then there is a fantastic choice of restaurants within a 20 - 30 minute's drive ranging from Coast in Coppet Hall to Y Polyn, just 5 minutes from Carmarthen.

The Cottage was the perfect family house for the 12 of us ranging from 10 to 75 years. We loved the amazing views from the sun room and garden. It was an ideal location to base ourselves with beautiful beaches, walks and lots of things to do close by. The house was clean and very well kept, Great Welsh Escapes were responsive and quick to reply to any questions and kept in touch through out the stay. We had a fabulous Family Holiday and would definitely recommend this property.

This house is even more beautiful than the pictures, we had a wonderful stay.
The bedrooms are all stunning and the beds very comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms for a big group, with one on every floor. The house is very spacious and even with 10 people we didn’t feel as if we were on top of each other, as there are plenty of areas to relax in.
There are several great pubs within walking distance (closest is a 2 minute walk) and the general surroundings are stunning, with a great view from the house. Short drive from lots of great walks and beaches as well.
We would love to stay again if we’re in the vicinity. Highly recommend.

Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful setting. We stayed here as a group of 11 in Sept 23 and there was so much space to all have your own time and space.
Fantastic walks and super comfortable beds.
The host was very responsive when we had enquiries.

Fantastic property in a fabulous location. Perfect for a family holiday. Accommodation has the old fashioned cottage appeal but with all the mod cons. Close to several sites of natural beauty. Don't miss out on the local pubs. we will be visiting again.

this is a very comfortable family house with wonderful views over Camarthen Bay . A spacious garden room that means you can sit and enjoy watching the weather coming in from the sea.
Sadly the weather was very Welsh and we had rain everyday but the large living dining kitchen meant we could enjoy being together.
The house is opposite Dylan Thomas's house but that didn

We really enjoyed our stay at The Cottage. it's a fabulous house in a great location with some of the best views you'll find anywhere. The house itself was perfect for the six of us and provided plenty of space both indoors and out. Laugharne is a lovely little town and is a great base from which to explore Camathenshire and Pembrokeshire.
We were so happy to find this property at such short notice and Michelle at Great Welsh Escapes was very helpful with all aspects during our stay.
Highly recommended.
