  • Smart TV's
  • Fully Equipped Kitchen

The cottage is well presented and more than caters for a variety of ages and holiday needs. Located in St Clears, which has a good selection of local amenities and eateries, along with its neighbouring town of Laugharne.

Enter the property at the rear via the patio area, and enter into the porch which also serves as a utility room housing the washing machine and large fridge freezer. To the left is the well equipped kitchen, which has all the mod cons for preparing a meal, along with a dining table which seats 6. Just off the kitchen is the welcoming living room, with an imitation fireplace, a TV and DVD player has a beautiful L shape sofa and further armchair seating. There is a small selection of DVD's and family games. There is also a handy ground floor shower room with WC.

Heading upstairs there are 3 well presented, spacious bedrooms. Two bedrooms have king size beds and ample storage, with the third having a single bed and pull out trundle bed. The high quality bed linen will ensure you have a wonderful night's sleep in this semi-rural location. There is an upstairs family bathroom with bath and WC.

Externally the property has a large patio area, with table and chairs for al fresco dining in the Spring and Summer months. There is also a beautiful "river walk" nearby, and a park with a play area almost across the road for children to burn off some energy.

Other things to note

- There is a cot bed and highchair available. Cot bedding is not provided.
- This property does not accept pets
- Access statement available on request

St Clears is a charming town with a good choice of coffee shops, a handful of pubs and restaurants.

It is a small town perfectly located to explore Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. It is 4 miles to Laugharne and 9 miles to Carmarthen.

Laugharne is a small town sitting on the estuary of the Taf River and offers stunning estuary walks, including the infamous Dylan Thomas Birthday Walk. There are also plenty of woodland walks and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path starts nearby and there is easy access to the Brecon Beacons.

Carmarthen, Wales oldest town, is a market town with a large variety of independent shops and plenty of lovely eateries. One of Carmarthen’s most famous early residents was Merlin the Magician. The Welsh name for the town, “Caerfyrddin”, means Merlin’s Fort and many believe the town was named after King Arthurs wizard.

There are also a good choice of outdoor activities available in the area, ranging from horse riding, coasteering, to a variety of water sports, abseiling, orienteering, caving and gorge walking.

There are many beautiful rugged beaches in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, along with the more popular coastal resorts of Pendine, Saundersfoot and Tenby.

There is an abundance of interesting attractions locally, including Castles, historic houses and National Botanical Gardens to name a few.

If you are a "foodie" then there is a fantastic choice of restaurants within a 20 - 30 minute's drive ranging from Coast in Coppet Hall to Y Polyn, just 5 minutes from Carmarthen.

It’s the perfect place to get away from it all.

I booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 2 due to the job I was doing getting complete a day early.
The property was spotless, and we we're greeted at the gate by the host, which made things even simpler than how the photos show how to get into the house.
The house had everything you'd need for a lengthy stay. Shops and local amenities are about 5 mins away by car, 15 walking.
Can't comment on local pubs and restaurants as I never ventured out after being in the cold all day at work

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Awel Taf. The house was spotlessly clean, had all amenities for a week’s stay. This place is very well placed with a 15 min drive from Carmarthen and also not far from beaches in South Wales. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.

We spent a relaxing week at Robert and Jill’s spacious and homely cottage. I was impressed with how clean it was which was reassuring given Covid. Everything was pristine, from sparkling wine glasses to polished cutlery. There were some lovely thoughtful touches like a vase of fresh flowers and two bottles of wine and fresh milk on our arrival. The kitchen dining area is a generous space and wonderful for family meals. The patio space is a real sun trap and has great quality chairs and a large glass table and umbrella. I’d thoroughly recommend this lovely cottage and the friendly hosts for a restful week in Wales.

Really lovely house and wonderful, friendly hosts. Recently refurbished, and they did a great job. Spacious living room and kitchen downstairs with everything you could want. The two main bedrooms are very large and comfortable. Off street parking which is extremely useful in St Clears, and the hosts live next door so check-in and check-out was super easy. Highly recommended :)

Lovely location for an extremely soothing break. Well equipped cottage and Robert was kind enough to get kids little games to keep busy when you are retiring after having a day out whether to botanical garden trip or folley farm.
Near by nisa local, fish and chips were handy to pop for a quick snack.
House was very clean and plenty of room for a family of six. We shall visit again and recommend this place.
