The Local Area
Nestled in a beautiful tranquil village next to the river, a minute walk to the beach, this holiday home offers everything you need for a comfortable and happy stay. Aberarth itself is very tranquil, but within a 2 minutes’ drive you reach the busier town of Aberaeron should you want to visit somewhere a bit busier, or stock up on some shopping, or just sit by the harbour watching the world go by.

Aberaeron has a large selection of places to eat, with the famous Harbourmaster offering first class dining. You will find a lovely array of independent shops, and some supermarkets for your convenience.

The county of Ceredigion is arguably the least spoilt region of Wales.

There are some perfect coves, with the southern stretch of coast having some absolute gems – places like Mwnt, Aberporth, Lochtyn, Cwmtydu, Penbryn, and Tresaith. Further north around Aberystwyth and Borth, there are huge stretches of sand. And they’re all lapped by Cardigan Bay, home to big populations of dolphns and porpoises which, if you spend any length of time here, you’re almost guaranteed to see.

This is a great base to explore Ceredigion and the beautiful surrounding counties, with a vast array of coastal walks, outdoor pursuits and watersports, island trips, and various attractions to suit all ages.

Honestly one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. Lovely property, we felt so at home. Had the best 3 nights sleep in years. Nice private location, plenty of walks to keep busy for a few days. The host was also great and very responsive. Only minor point would be that I didn’t find the WiFi usable, but I didn’t go for that, and 4G was good (I’m on O2). Overall highly recommended and I hope to return

a calm and cosy place after long walks on the costal path. The house is a little bit covered the sound of the sea was barely to hear. The directions to the house are clearly described and it's very good signed, so or was no problem to find it. Yes a small car has advantages to get there.
we will surely return when doing holidays again in the region.
thank you
Torsten

Manteg is a beautiful house located right on the beach. My family and I had a wonderful stay, with so many beautiful places to visit nearby. The beach was perfect for walks and skimming stones, knowing ww could return to the log burner back at the house. Communication was great, with any questions or feedback responded to promptly.
