Keeping Faith, (or original title Welsh: Un Bore Mercher, translates to "One Wednesday Morning") is a Welsh thriller television series, created by Matthew Hall and produced by Vox Pictures. Un Bore Mercher was first broadcast on S4C on 5 November 2017. Pip Broughton directed six of the eight episodes; Andy Newbery the other two. The series stars Eve Myles as Faith Howells. She is a solicitor at a family-run law firm. Evan, her husband, disappears whilst she is on maternity leave following the birth of their third child.
Luckily for us Keeping Faith is filmed in Wales, mainly around Laugharne in Carmarthenshire – a town on the south coast which lies on the estuary of the River Tâf and was once home to the poet Dylan Thomas where we boast most of our cottages.
One of our cottages is featured in season 1 where we see Faith’s mother and sister-in-law having a conversation at The Cors Country House.
The Welsh version of the second series “Un Bore Mercher” was aired in May 2019 on S4C Wales, and we are excited for the English language version “Keeping Faith” to launch in July 2019. As well as The Cors Country House featuring in Series 1, our newest property Gwalia House can be spotted in many scenes throughout series 1 and 2, as its located directly next door to Evan and Faith’s law firm, on the main street in the village.
