Location, location, location. Sitting in the hot tub with great views. Everything provided for even the biggest of family gatherings.

The property was extremely clean and had everything we needed in order to have a lovely time! The host was extremely welcoming and recommended some amazing restaurants and places to go. The place was in a great location just a short drive to the beach and a little walk to local pubs and restaurants. Definitely would recommend this place to others!:)

When you arrive at The Cors Country House you are met with the absolute "wow" factor. Just entering the porperty and driving down the long beautiful private driveway is in itself breathtaking. Then when you get inside and see the beautiful rooms and the stunning views from the bedrooms of the well kept gardens you cant help but feel like youre somewhere special. It was my mums 70th birthday getaway for our family and was everything we wanted and more. We all had such an amazing time, the bedrooms were just gorgeous and the children loved the attick room. Great family lounge area where we could all sit down and talk and play games. I cannot say enough good things!

What an incredible, well maintained home with amazing views and only a short drive to beautiful landscapes and castles! We absolutely loved our stay. Great place to get away and amazing spot for kids (no stairs for little ones to get hurt on), with ample toys and a magical sunroom that overlooks insane views. The house is a bit further down the road than GPS said, so keep that in mind when arriving. Would love to come back one day!

This property is ideally located next to the grocery shop, pubs, gift shops and restaurants. Especially marvelous was the the view of the massive castle and relics across from the property and dusk light reflecting off the castle walls that we could see from upstairs windows. The locals were very friendly and happy to fill us in on curiously spelt Welsh place names and local information. The property was exceptionally well presented and clean with car parking right out the front

We stayed at Coedllys Uchaf. It was such a wonderful experience. Steward was a friendly guy as he recommended us an amazing visiting location place which we never even planned and thought of.
When we went to visit it, we truly saw a lovely and beautiful cultural of Wales.

Also, we enjoyed spending time looking at Peacock Charlie and the place where we stayed was nice, cosy and warm to stay. Enjoyed the sauna and hot tub bath, which was relaxing after hiking in Pen Y Fan mountain and after visiting beaches such as Newgale, Ramsay Island and Tenby.

Highly recommended it as we plan to book this place again when visiting in future. Looking forward to introduce Wales to our family, friends and relatives. Had a good time visiting Wales in June 2022.

location great for exploring the south Wales area, which is a lovely part of the world. Easy access to Laugharne but outside the village, so very quiet. The apartment is perfect for a couple and the hosts are so thoughtful.

Overall, great place to stay at. The pictures appeared as if the property was very spacious however the rooms were smaller than we expected.

We loved everything about the barn and chaffhouse and the children are wanting us to buy a barn of our own. The barn is perfect and the area is stunning. We've been staycationing in Croyde for years and moving forward we have decided to make this our new staycation venue. Very Impressed. Comfortably accommodated our family - Mum, Dad and 4 children, 6, 4, 2 and 5 months.

Stayed at the Lloret property for 4 days over Christmas. Exceeded our expectations. GWE communicated well throughout and were keen to do all they could to ensure that we had a good experience. Large, clean and private indoor heated pool plus sauna. Very tranquil location overseeing the lake. There are not other guests as there is only one property for holiday makers so it is very private feeling just like a second home. There are everything needed in the house.
Occasional flies in the house and farm smell outside 😄 but no smell in the house.

We had a 3 night stay at Dylan's Den in Laugharne and it was amazing. 4 well appointed en-suite bedrooms and a lovely cosy lounge area and kitchen. Plenty of room for the 7 of us (and our dog)
We were also left a comprehensive welcome pack which was gratefully received. If you haven't been to Laugharne then you really should add it to your list of places to visit. Wonderful.
Jac was very communicative throughout our stay, checking in that all was well, which of course it was, but it we still appreciated the fact he cared. We would love to return to Laugharne one day and would certainly aim to stay at Dylan's Den when we do..Thanks again.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the hosts very welcoming. They gave us bara brith cake, rose wine and biscuits. Supplied tea, coffee, sugar and a host of ‘extras’ for our stay.

The position was ontop of a hill which was ok for the time we were staying but it would be very difficult in the busy season

The house is in a quiet place . It has all the facilities that you will ever need like WiFi, 2 bathrooms with toilet, Smart TV , Porch to enjoy the sun or Barbecue. It is 10 minutes walk to the town , plenty of places around for dog walking or sightseeing.
The en suite bathroom door wasn't aligned so had problems closing it . So couldn't use it fully.

The property was lovely; beautiful views, thoughtfully decorated and with a comfortable sofa for the couple of wet evenings we had indoors watching movies!
The surrounding area was good for dog walking and the property was situated close enough for trips to the coast and the stylish town of Llandeilo.

My wife and I haven't been away since April and a short break is just what we needed. This property is amazing, right in the heart of Laugharne with parking outside. It was perfect for what we wanted and we only used the car once to go and visit Pendine beach. We ate in Arthur's which we really enjoyed, the Portreeves and had Sunday lunch in Browns Hotel. We can see why Dylan Thomas was so fond of this place. Thanks to our hosts

We couldn’t have asked for more for our holiday. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and provided a perfect base from which we could explore the area. Mel and Neil were thoughtful and helpful hosts with good recommendations for places to visit and local places to eat.

It's a gorgeous, mesmerising, private place ( I am really short of words) hidden in the woods. Yet, not far from the local Pendine beach or local grocery shops like Nisa local. We had a cosy stay in the property with a breath taking view of the woods, birds and the spring water outside the window. It has all the necessary items that makes the stay comfortable. Sheena & Paul has done a wonderful job in decorating it and giving it a personal touch which makes it awesome place. Hosts are welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

For New Years we stayed at the wonderful Fernhill House Laugharne. Not only was the house spectacular the location was perfect!!! Great Welsh Escapes were brilliant-not only from the first contact but from assisting with the booking and throughout our stay. We've already booked again for next New Years.

Chapel View is a wonderful cottage which had everything we needed for our week long stay. The place is beautifully decorated and the courtyard gives it that little added extra something. Laugharne is a lovely little village with the essential amenities and friendly locals.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maesteg Cottage, it was very well equipped and we found everything that we needed plus a lovely welcome pack including Welsh cakes, wine and coffee. The cottage has a few quirky features including an unusual upstairs toilet!! It is a very comfortable and homely property, particularly the beds, we all slept very well. There is also a beautiful enclosed garden on different layers with a secluded spot at the top where you can sit and enjoy the view in the evening sun. The location is good for visiting a variety of places and we enjoyed Laugharne, Tenby, Cardigan, Gwbert and Tresaith Beach and waterfall, all within around 35 minutes travel by car from the cottage. We would stay again.

The neighbours parking outside the gates, it’s a very narrow gateway into the property. Most nights were impossible to get in.

WOW! This property was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are incredible. The house itself is furnished beautifully, amazing artwork and a mix of a modern and an older feel! The property is so quirky, you really won’t find anywhere else like it! Jac was amazing throughout the booking process and whilst staying at the property. He even got 50 balloons and a bottle of bubbly for my Mum when I said we were coming for her birthday, so kind! Our dog Alfie loved the garden. The fact that this property is dog friendly makes it even better! Thank you Jac for an amazing stay at The Cors! We have made very special memories and I know for certain I will be returning in the future! I miss it already!

The Cors is really a very special place in the fabulous town of Laugharne. Close to two very good pubs, an excellent Thai restaurant and a good Deli. What makes the holiday is the house with its fabulous grounds. Clean ,well equipped, very generous welcome pack and responsive host. Highly recommended.

You couldn't wish for anywhere in nicer. The cottage had everything that you could want, and had been furnished to a high standard. The views were excellent and whatever the weather there was something to look at. We would definitely recommend this property to all our friends and family.

Perfect cottage in a very secluded location. Host was fantastic, recommended lots of places to go and was really helpful throughout our stay. The private pool was really great but it was the location that was really special so many great places to go. House is perfect for four plus a dog with everything you could possibly need. Was great having our own garden and having access to a big field too. Definitely need ten days next time, too much to see in seven!

This lovely house nestled in the middle of the beautiful town of Laugharne is absolutely exceptional in every way. Absolute perfection, the property is luxurious with beautiful furniture and artworks. Located a few yards away from Browns Hotel with parking too. We had the best time and will be booking another trip next year. Cannot recommend highly enough. Five star!!!

Laugharne is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting and we will be back!

Ideally located for walking the coast path, visiting the many beaches or nipping down to walk by the estuary with the dogs.
The Village is good too with many pubs and restaurants and useful store.
We really enjoyed the pool and deck and the sunny terrace.

As a big family it was a perfect place to be all together. There was plenty of space for us all and the views were beautiful!

We had a great couple of days at Wildhaven. It was an ideal combination of remote, long walks from the door, quiet, yet an easy 20 minutes drive from a few villages with pubs and shops. The dogs loved it too! The house itself was fantastic, really great facilities and furniture. Everything was perfect!

Wow, what a wonderful view, we loved everything about this place. It’s location is so peaceful yet walkable into the village and easy to get to the Castle. We liked the modern, clean and clutter free style, with a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. We only had a short 3 night break but would have loved to stay longer, thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Thank you for the gift of Welsh shortbread, a nice touch, but do note, there was only one dishwasher tab, one tea towel, no kitchen towel or foil and no basics like salt and pepper, so make sure you bring your own!

It wouldn't be suitable for anybody with a disability, as the hill may be a problem and we had steps up to first floor apartment.

There a is a beautiful beach 5min down the road, got in a few good walks even in February. Can imaging in summer it would be a daily trip.

Great Welsh Escapes' "Gwalia" in Laugharne is an amazing house, steeped in history and beautifully decorated. An ideal base from where to explore the fabulous Welsh beaches and countryside, you will return from there recharged and refreshed. Great local restaurants literally on the doorstep mean you can enjoy fantastic food without having to worry about cooking for yourselves, although there is also a small supermarket 2 minute walk away. We have been twice. We will return again.

As for Great Welsh Escapes themselves, they are friendly, easy to contact and responsive. A great outfit that you can trust.

The host Hazel was so attentive, she came up to ensure we arrived safely. The attention to detail within the home was outstanding. We had a welcome hamper & a bottle of Prosecco with a greeting card. We have a baby & she had made sure there was everything we needed for him even down to baby bath sponges, baby soap & sudocrem!



The hot tub was amazing, all the beds were really comfortable, so much space within the bungalow and it was spotless when we arrived. We could not have asked for a better stay and we will 100% be back when we visit family in Wales again!

Cannot rate this property highly enough. Great Welsh Escapes were very communicative and the host left a beautiful hamper as well as chocolates and a bottle of Prosecco! What an unexpected treat and given the condition and quality of the accommodation not even necessary. The property was filled to the brim with thoughtful household necessities. You LITERALLY need clothes food and personal toiletries to stay at Sunnybank. Fantastic place! Will definitely recommend. Thank you 💯👌🏼

The house was warm and cosy on arrival. It literally has everything you need and a bit more to enjoy a fabulous stay!

We found the beds really comfy, enjoyed the living room and kitchen areas as this allowed us all to gather in one space (6 of us). Our group also really enjoyed the hot tub too! We loved all the little details that had been put into the home, it really was a great experience!

Would highly recommend a stay here. Beautiful views and lots of opportunities for star gazing in the evenings.

The cottage is very cosy. Living room is cosy with a large fireplace but plenty of space. The sofas are a bit tired but not a problem.
We travelled during a 30°+ heat wave and the living room was very cool due to the stone walls which made it a very welcome place to be!
The garden is lovely and full of secret paths for the kids but be warned, there is a pond exposed, so no good for toddlers.
The area is fantastic with Pembrokeshire coast and loads of things for the kids.
Only gripe is that there is no parking by the cottage other than a layby. There is a car park 150 yards up the road however which allows you to see some incredible scenery of the area, so absolutely this is not a negative overall.
Worth mentioning that there is no TV signal or mobile coverage although there was broadband and WiFi available.

Absolutely beautiful house, and in a lovely location. We visited as a friendship group and it was just amazing! Great size bedrooms with huge comfy beds! All with en-suites, huge kitchen, lovely upstairs living room too. Great restaurants within a few minutes walk, and nice beach walks super close too!

The Cottage was the perfect family house for the 12 of us ranging from 10 to 75 years. We loved the amazing views from the sun room and garden. It was an ideal location to base ourselves with beautiful beaches, walks and lots of things to do close by. The house was clean and very well kept, Great Welsh Escapes were responsive and quick to reply to any questions and kept in touch through out the stay. We had a fabulous Family Holiday and would definitely recommend this property.

We had a wonderful stay. This cozy flat is warm, clean and quiet. The kitchen is well equipped and just love the big fridge/freezer, excellent for our long stay. The wifi works well. We had a minor issue in the bathroom and it quickly fixed. The town Laugharne is lovely and welcoming and I only wish we can stay for longer.

We chose this beautiful home for my 60th birthday celebration with all my family and it did not disappoint us. The property was spacious and so very well equipped throughout. There is plenty of car park space too. The 5 bedrooms with 3 of the 4 double bedded rooms having en-suite bathrooms with a family bathroom for the other double and twin attic bedroom. Unfortunately the 3 nights stay wasn’t long enough and wished stayed longer. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jac for the welcome pack of local produce together with my 60th balloon which was an added touch much appreciated. The bar and pool table were used each night. The property suited us well, and the views were lovely. The layout worked really well as we had our dog with us. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Laugharne area.

Booking to go to Laugharne I used Great Welsh Escapes and they managed our booking brilliantly. The place we had booked was amazing, a huge 1 bed in a quiet area just walking distances from the town centre and the castle! A lovely spacious property which was exactly as described. Hosts were very good with communications before and during our stay and gave good local advice. Thanks for the gift of the Prosecco, tea and Bara Brith, much appreciated.The hot tub was excellent and super views over to the castle. Having extra towels for use in the hot tub was a bonus. The hill up to the property is a bit steep and may not suit everyone but we were fine with it. The property was very clean and tidy throughout, and the kitchen was fully stocked for self catering. I would certainly recommend this property to others.

An eclectic mix of styles which were assembled with great aplomb. The quality of renovation showed that great care and consideration had been taken in order to achieve an unique style. Hearing the sparrows chirping outside first thing in the morning was a wonderful way to wake up. Even hearing the trains travelling along the nearby mainline did nothing to disturb the tranquillity of this secret corner of Carmarthenshire. A long weekend was not enough and a return visit is hopeful.

Fabulous cottage with tasteful modern interior design maintaining a rustic charm. Located in the heart of Laugharne a stone's throw from eateries, local shop and Dylan's famous watering holes The Three Mariners and Brown's Hotel. A short stroll to the waterfront, views axross the estuary and the Boat House.
We loved the log burning stove, huge sofa and TV and comfortable beds! Being able to bring our little dog was a bonus as was the allocated free parking.

Parking is a little difficult but doesn't impact the experience.

An absolutely beautiful spacious farmhouse with a hot tub. Hanna was an incredible host and went out of her way to hand deliver bbq utensils to us and was very friendly throughout our stay. This is an amazing place to stay with beautiful views. Watching the sunset from the hot tub was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice relaxing stay in the countryside which you won’t regret. It is a great private space and perfect for couples or families. Can’t wait to come back again for another memorable break :)

Wonderful accommodation in a very quiet location but only just out of the village. Bit of a climb up the road if you have a drink in one of the many pubs and restaurants that are only 10 min walk from the accommodation. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. The private garden area was a huge plus, the silence only disturbed by a noisy bee, lol. We would certainly stay here again.

Our stay at Gwalia House was great. A fabulous house with everything you need. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped kitchen. Plenty of pubs to choose from in the village and lots of blustery beach walks a few miles away. I would highly recommend.

Loved our stay in this spacious bungalow, it was ideal for a large family and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed the gardens. You couldn’t hear a sound in the night, it was so relaxing and just perfect for a break down west.

We have visited Laugharne several times over the last eight years, and this years stay was definitely enhanced by our stay at Gwalia House. A stunning property with a boutique hotel feel. Couldn’t fault anything. My family & I just loved it! Already looking forward to a repeat in 2021!

Great property and location for South Wales. We did many day trips from Tenby to st David’s and many others in between. We had great time. Thank you Anne for the wine and fresh tomatoes.

Nice big house in a quiet location with a good size garden and terrace. 3 good size double bedrooms and a single bedroom. Lots of room for the 6 of us plus a dog. It was an easy 5 minutes walk to the centre of the village which had at least 4 pubs, a castle and a beautiful walk along the river. Good walks in the area and easy to get to lovely beaches at Pendine, Tenby and Amroth. We will be back.
A couple of minor things need fixing in the on-suite which I notified the agents about. These did not prevent us from using it and in no way affected our stay.

Lovely farmhouse located in wonderful and peaceful location in the Brecon Beacons. Great surroundings and view. It has a nice big garden that is good to relax in and watch the sun set on an evening. It is very quiet and peaceful that is perfect to get away from it all.
Very comfortable furniture to relax in. Nice and functional kitchen with great electric cooker that is easy to use and gets the job done.
Had a few house spiders inside but that is to be expected with the location in the countryside and they were easily removed and put back into nature.

Overall, really nice stay and would go back and stay again.

Every room is spacious … and there are a lot of them over 4 floors! Special mention for the magnificent bathrooms!
Rooms full of furniture, splendid paintings and impressive pottery on display.
As for the basics: the house was spotlessly clean, gas central heating is very effective (plus a log fire), the huge beds are very comfortable and the kitchen comes well equipped.

The Cors was ideal for us, a party of two families with 5 teenagers between us. The house itself was homely and charming, and the location is great to explore this stunning part of Wales. Plenty of space to get together as a group, or to have some time to yourself.

We spent ten days in this beautiful cottage and had a wonderful time. It is very spacious, especially the principal bedroom and bathroom. The decor is very pleasing and tasteful, while the kitchen is modern and equipped. We used the oven, hob, washing machine and dishwasher, and all appliances worked perfectly. There is a Co-op just down the street, and there are a few nice takeaways within town.
The cottage is centrally located to cover both Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, and it is very convenient to do day trips to Tenby, Marloes Sands, St. Davids, Brecon Beacons and a dozen small beaches and castles -- the closest of which, Laugharne, is hardly a 12 minute drive away.
All in all, I can very strongly recommend staying here to explore known and unknown parts of the beautiful South Wales. And yes, Melanie and Neil are both wonderful hosts!

Wonderful stay, one of the best we’ve had. The cottage is very cozy, has amazing views and has everything you need. We felt like home (I wish my home was like this place though). The stay was very relaxing. It was very easy to find—just click on “open the address in the maps/gogle maps” and it will take you right to the place (we used gogle maps, so the app just received the exact coordinates and led us to the exact spot.) The road at the end was totally fine—no issues at all. A typical countryside road and it’s fairly smooth. We would love to come back one day. The hosts were very responsive.

The old school house is a beautiful unusual & spacious holiday home. It had everything we needed & is in a quiet location that allowed us to explore the local towns, castles & beaches easily. Travelling with a small child we loved finding the many games tucked away in various cupboards & especially enjoyed the welcome bottle of wine & cake!!

Very spacious for the number of guests. It was a great location for a multi generation family trip. we didn't have great weather but nobody was bored. The house was stunning, the pictures don't do it justice.

Very comfortable property, warm and welcoming. Plenty of room for a family holiday. Comfortable beds and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Surrounded by lovely countryside, peace and quiet. A good base for exploring the area. We took the option of renting the annex as well so my son good work for part of the time. Highly recommend both property’s.

Fabulous time had by all. A couple of early niggles were quickly and efficiently sorted out. Beautiful property and the weather has been sunny and hot all week.

We stayed here in August 2016, we loved the pool and the fact that we were not too far from the beach. The studio was spacious (for a studio) the beds comfortable and reasonably new. The view was fantastic but it was a shame there wasn't more of it due to the design of the building. Parking was easy. My husband was particularly impressed by the fact that we were not disturbed at all by our neighbours, important when you are not used to living in an apartment. Overall great location and amenities.

The house is spotless, and nicely decorated. It's easy to access and efficiently organised. We had some initial problems getting the heating to work due to low pressure in the boiler but this was quickly resolved. It was convenient to be able to bring our dog, and the location itself is excellent for easy access to Tenby, Saundersfoot and nearby beaches. 5pm does seem quite late for a check in time - perhaps this could be more flexible?

Great location for everything, cottage was perfect and modern.Much prefer the key safe for entry, can't be doing wth all that meet and greet stuff, thank you.

Wildhaven is a wonderful place to pause and reset. This was our second stay, and hopefully not our last! It really feels like it's in the heart of the Beacons National Park with nothing around by sheep, beautiful scenery, and wild horses. I can't recommend it enough.

We had a couple of hiccups with the house, but the hosts communicated well and they were resolved efficiently.

Excellent communication which helped make our stay even more relaxing.

Wonderful house very spacious and a great design for multiple guests/ couples as you can all have a private room but then the kitchen dining and living rooms were huge for eating together etc.
Awsome location just 10 minutes walk to the local castle and sea/ estuary aswell as some handy local shops
We went for a family gathering over Christmas and arrived to find a lovely Christmas tree in the living room....a really nice touch!

Everything about it. Fantastic place in a beautiful location. The Cors has everything you need. We were 6 adults and 3 children. Loads of room. Pool table, bar, cinema room. Can't fault this place. Truly stunning. Jac was great with communication and I'm sure would do anything for you. Loved every minute of the stay.
Literally nothing!!!!!

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Sunny Bank, an idyllic and private with every single thing you can imagine. We were provided with a full tea service and dinner set, basics for breakfast, bathrobes and towels for the stay as well as towels for the hot tub. I honestly think every possible amenity was thought about and provided. The cottage is on a family farm and you have complete privacy, esp in the hot tub which made the stay perfect for us.
The owners live down the road and when we told them the engine light had come on, on the car, and we needed to find a garage they came over and sorted the car, we needed oil but they also added screen wash and coolent and gave further advice. They went above and beyond.
You also don't have to worry about the hot tub, they come and treat it for you daily.
These are truly good people

WOW! This property was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are incredible. The house itself is furnished beautifully, amazing artwork and a mix of modern and an older feel! The property is so quirky, you really won’t find anywhere else like this. Jac was amazing throughout the booking process and whilst at the property too. He even got 50 balloons and a bottle of bubbly for my mum when I said we were coming for her birthday, so kind! Our dog Alfie loved the garden. The fact that this dog friendly makes it even better! Thank you Jac and Great Welsh Escapes for an amazing stay at The Cors! We have made very special memories and I know for certain I will be returning in the future! Everything about this property is brilliant, I miss it already!

This is a beautiful and very characterful house! It is tastefully quirky and a perfect place to spend time with family or friends. A few great pubs and a lovely Thai within walking distance too! Recommended!

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday in a well equipped, extremely comfortable apartment look no further. Nestled high up on the side of a hill it offers wonderful views of the sea and countryside. The apartment has everything you need and more so you don’t have to compromise on the way you spend your holiday. We cooked in a lot which was easy because of the the way the kitchen was equipped - there was nothing missing.
